Oh so you disregard Evolve
You must never have played Dota or any real competitive game for that matter.
Arguments:
Multiplayer only: tell a pro gamer that multiplayer only games suck and he'll laugh in your face and say "you play games for something other than PvP? Ha!"
Dota is a multiplayer only game and they just set a new record of 1,074,464 playing Dota this past weekend.
DLC blah blah idk what I'm talking about:
So the game and all of its gameplay content cost $60. Anyone saying otherwise is a sheep repeating yellow journalism propaganda.
Any future gameplay content is free, if you want to keep playing destinys newest content you have to pay for every dlc, most of you have already spent more money on destiny than I ever will on Evolve.
In game store: along the same lines of the last argument. You don't wanna play a game because it sells completely optional and completely irrelevant to the gameplay cosmetic content? That seems foolish. Again they aren't the first game to use an in-game store that sells cosmetics, skins, hats. Dota pioneered this good business practice and again it's one of the top 3 successful games right now.
Just saying if you've bought The Dark Below you've already spent $15 more than I ever will for Evolve and you'll be paying a lot more to finally play the full game... Someday

2 RepliesYes, I disregarded Evolve. No, I have never played Dota. I don't care what 12 year old punks or MLG wannabe's think. I go to work everyday and earn the money I have, so I can spend it on whatever I want. My purchases and how I perceive value from said purchases are completely subjective and also do not affect you. If you think that Kaiju Titanfall is a better game than Destiny, then that is your opinion and that is fine. Some people prefer the PvE side of gaming and don't really care about PvP or competitive gaming. But if you are so secure in your belief that Evolve is better than Destiny in every way, why are you on the Destiny forums trying to justify your position? Why are you not on the Evolve forums praising that game with people who feel the same as you? Why does it matter what other people play and enjoy? Games are not real life. They are a distraction, an escape, a from of entertainment, a hobby, and are meant to be FUN.

I didn't get it as it seems even more repetitive than destiny, and relies on having not only decent teammates but also decent opponents. My experience with random groupings in destiny and other games has been mostly bad, I'm not going to have a game in my collection which is even more reliant on it.

1 ReplyAbout evolve. First I'll say, I'm going to get it for only one reason. To do when I have absolutely nothing else (waiting on various resets) to do. The gameplay is mediocre at best. Yes multiplayer only games can be fun, but not for 600+ hours (which I have sunk into destiny). I have played dota 2, titanfall, and am currently playing the heros of the storm beta. All are fun. However, there are a few differences. First, the obvious, titanfall. It seems like its barely played anymore. People got tired of it. Now the the dota/hero's part. Both of those games are mobas (multiplayer online battle arenas) dota has tournaments with prize money. The reason for that is its considered an "esport". The difference between evolve and mobas is actually pretty large. Evolve is 1 player vs 4, while mobas are teams of 5 against each other. This means that essentially evolve has taken out a large chunk of the team aspect, as one side consists of a single player. Meaning, evolve will more than likely end of like titanfall, and be a ghost town in a few months.

6 RepliesI'm actually excited for evolve, but your opinion is obnoxious and irrelevant. You realize the only people who care what "pro gamers" say are the 12 year olds who think they can "make it big" one day and don't have the mental fortitude to construct their own opinions.
