When people leave mid-match, the match gets cancelled. No win or loss to either side and just return to orbit with a No-Contest result with a temp trials ban on the offender.
Harsher impacts on repeat offenders and people who leave in winning matches.
Or for better nuance, people who leave mid-match later in a game do NOT cancel the match, but if the winning team then loses, the loss is not counted or considered a Mercy while the opposite team still gets their win.
2/3 matches I've had at the start of today had people leaving. Once my side, once enemy side. It's not fun, it's not competitive, it ruins flawless runs, it needs to end.

I hate quitters I would rather take a loss but…. The connection in PvP is to unstable A couple nights ago 3 players lost connection on my team and two on the opposite team, than it let one player back on our team took one of our players put him on the other team and we got two random s the two ransoms join play a very small amount got kicked and they rejoined again . Bungie can’t really punish people for quitting with stuff like that going on , and if they start a new match as a 0 W 0 L .. we’ll how many restarts before people say forget it

작성자: hate n payne 4/14/2022 12:36:19 PMThey gotta fix the matchmaking and lobby balancing. Players are leaving because the matching system is garbage. It doesnt matter if someone is good or bad, if players feel they are going have a miserable experience or they are going to feed the other player’s ego with an easy match, they are entitled to leave. This is why competitiveness in this game doesnt work especially when there is a plethora of imbalance. You should ask Bungie why the neglect for the core issues of the game are still lacking versus trying to punish players further with penalties in an environment that is already horrific. Imagine if you didnt have casual or average players in the game mode due to having imbalance concepts, you would be matching players of similar skill and experience which would eventually get stale and uninspiring for play. Hence the removal of SBMM. You want players in the playlist because they enjoy it despite the odds versus going through the motions just to be miserable. This game needs to be balanced, fun and competitive in nature. It needs to be in that exact order. Fun and balance can help create competitiveness while competitiveness without fun and balance can ruin it.

8 답변작성자: Kestrel 4/11/2022 3:48:02 PMI left two matches yesterday because I carried my team. I shouldn't carry anyone in a freelance against a stack. On fact freelance should fight freelance. I don't enjoy being uncoordinated while others can do it. Before anyone says find sn LFG, go -blam!- yourself because I did and all I ever see is gatekeepers wanting to check my stats or me to pay them. I'm not groveling or begging. I'm not carrying anyone. I hold my own and I support- I can't offset the team's incompetence by my lonesome.

7 답변Before anyone discusses quitting matches, first they should discuss the fact that Bungie has not fixed the lobby balancing issue that plagues every mode in the Crucible. Maybe people wouldn't quit matches if the lobbies weren't one sided most of the time. It's not fun to have such an unbalanced lobby, and quitting feels better than sitting in there and getting destroyed by a team that for some reason got stacked.

작성자: Gulf of Mexico 4/11/2022 8:57:47 PMPvP is awful. Actually the people managing and supporting it are awful. Lag Broken weapons Same stale meta for years Broken abilities Bad matchmaking Bad lobby balancing PvP is an unbalanced/unhealthy mess that sees 95% of the weapons in the game neglected.

2 답변This game is not eSport quality so Bungie doesn't care. It's a gimmick so let's treat it like one.

1 답변Possible solution: "Negative round penalties" -Trials games max out at 5 possible rounds lost. - qutting is a loss, but you can quit after losing 1 round. - For every lost round unrealized from a quit, you become "poisoned" with lost rounds PRE GAME, and cannot launch freelance. You have to get a squad to even play. -For example, you quit a game after losing 1 round like a little rage quitty aHole. Well you start your next game with your team down by 3 rounds TO START. - Either you overcome the serious point deficit, ot endure the loss you ran away from ,(that maybe you could have won if you stayed). -If you never play Trials for the rest of that week, it carries over for 2 resets. I feel like this is a strong deterrent to quitting.

2 답변It's Trials. People dip their toes into it and just leave because they know it's not worth it. Not a skill issue, not being a n00b, not even rage quitting. It's honestly not worth it for a few guns that you can get an equal or better version of outside of it.

Your assuming too much that Bungie want to implement fair match making rules, for example this is an always online game, yet when it comes to end game match making Legend and up, Bungie refuses to do anything about that, let alone listen to people concerns. I'm starting to think Bungie really don't want regular players to enjoy its game to its fullest. I have a clan yet no one invite they one run with there go to guys, LFG requires 20 completions and emblems and other ship! Bungie will not and cannot do anything right, first it was blame it on Activision but now, well now it's all on them

8 답변작성자: coda-jj 4/10/2022 9:10:31 PMMidmatch leaving is not a big deal. Why do you chose to be selfish and want someone to partake in your misery. Let them leave and help another group they feel can win. You also benefit when someone else leaves a match and joins up with you later. When 5 people spawn in at the very start I agree but not midway

I just got a time ban because my team mates quit after losing 1st round and then I got a beaver message. Not sure of they quit or beaver out too but why. This logic is stupid. Surely, D2 game can tell the imaginary server that I did not quit and whatever beaver means was the cause.

작성자: Rufas-1 4/11/2022 2:08:31 PMFrom a requirements perspective this isn't a hard problem to solve. 1) The first person to leave a competitive match (Trials/Survival) will take a loss along with other possible penalties (ie. temp ban from the game mode) 2) Anyone who is in the fireteam of the quitter also takes a loss along with the other possible penalties. 3) Others may quit after the 1st quitter with no penalty. 4) If there is not enough time left in the match after a person quits for the remaining players to also quit then the match is treated as a no-contest. This prevents people from bailing at the last second to screw people over. Maybe this doesn't matter cause the match is likely decided by this point? This allows for the match to continue if both teams want to accept the outcome. If they don't then they can quit with no loss or penalty. If an entire team ends up leaving then the match is treated as a "no contest" match where none of the remaining players get a win. I would also not be opposed to keeping it simple and ending the match as a no contest when someone quits.

2 답변This would get abused by people do paid carries. Since they are most likely running a burn account, if they start losing, they could just quit and swap to a new profile.

Bungle can't tell whether a person left or the opposing team DOS's them out of the match. I know people that still do that crap - I don't play competitive with them and they are "Friend's of a Friend". And they don't care if they get caught and banned, because they were back up the next day with a new account. And lots of people on Xbox Series X or S have reported crashing in Crucible too, which Bungle has been "Looking Into" since WQ launched. So I'm not sure how this will balance out and solve anything. If the match gets cancelled because I pulled my Network cord out in a losing match, that isn't fair to other people. I'm not saying that the Staus Quo is good and there needs to be improvement made.
