Comp also has matchmaking/freelance, it's not the teams of 3 that have people quitting out it's the matchmade blueberries. This is why trials initially didn't have matchmaking, because Bungie knew people would get mad if their blueberries quit out or threw the game.

No you're either misunderstanding the point or just trying to put words in my mouth. People quit out, but if you bring your own full team they don't. If you rely on matchmade blueberries, you can't be surprised when they let you down. Before trials had matchmaking, this was not a problem in trials because everyone had to bring a full team.

-blam!- match ups is a matchmaking problem, little Timmy quitter wouldn't be quitting if he was playing the same crap players as himself, but instead he goes on a team of bad players with a pre determined 10% chance of winning

Little Timmy wouldn't be ruining Daemon White's flawless card if he couldn't solo queue onto his team. Also, maybe you didn't consider that if little Timmy is bad at the game then he deserves to lose most of his matches? This is endgame pvp, no one is entitled to be spoon-fed easier games just because they're incompetent.

Whoa, cool your jets dude. The guy was only making an observation. Yes trials is supposed to be difficult but not impossible. Of all pvp modes it has the lesser playerbase and to keep it viable it needs the casual player, otherwise it will find itself dead in the water very quickly. For my two cents, when trials of the nine got ditched and there was no trials, I never missed it. That's exactly the same priority bungie have placed on it. Trials is Bungie's way of paying lip service to pvp.
