Can ghosts switch guardians or is it a one and done?
Just curious
So something I'm not curious about now that yall have said it is possible, is that could it be possible if someone were to die or the ghost was forced to abandon there light bearer
Lets say crow is it possible for glint to become oh idkk Osiris's ghost.

1 답변Something about Shin Malphur, his ghost was his mentor's ghost I believe... Dredgen Yor's ghost was tired of how corrupt Yor had become and left, maybe Yor's ghost found a new guardian after Yor's death.

2 답변I propose the theory that a ghost isn't limited to rezzing one person, but rather can only rez one person [i] at a time[/i]. Jaren ward was unable to be rezzed bc of thorn and so was then able to link with shin malphur. I think if jaren ward was still alive, his ghost wouldn't have been able to do this. This theory fits with our ghost and the master chief situation (if you take that as Canon). It's also why our ghost couldn't revive cayde, bc we would've had to die for this to happen. I don't think there's any lore to support this, it's just spinfoil, but I think it makes sense with the exceptions we've seen in the lore

Master Chief was also empowered by our very own Ghost as revealed in Taken King. He refused it and chose to sleep in his stasis pod, so little Ghost came to us.

Sagira chimed in and revealed that the ghost just picked someone strong because that's what it needed to survive during the dark ages. So this implies that ghosts can pick anyone to resurrect and they can resurrect multiple people.

1 답변They can, it's rare as they need match similar frequencies. Ghosts go through immense effort just to find their original. Finding two? It's very unlikely but not impossible and they'd also have to survive what their Guardian could not.

6 답변It has happened once before. Jaren Ward’s Ghost “switched” to Shin Malphur, who most likely also had a Ghost when he was a baby. That said, Shin Malphur and the lore surrounding him always has been a mystery but for now, yes, Ghosts can “switch.”
