Thanks for the update Deej! I absolutely love your clever and witty prose, and really appreciate the developers sharing with us about progress on fixing vexing bugs and adding new clamored-for features. Updates like this make me more optimistic about Destiny's future, and I really hope to play this amazing game for a long time to come and buy all the future content you offer. Nevertheless, the heavy-ammo situation right now is exceedingly frustrating. The developers decided to make what seems like a very lazy decision by the player base with the hard-mode Crota raid, artificially increasing the difficulty by having it one level above our max level. And that big inherent handicap makes heavy ammo absolutely essential. Yet we have no time-efficient way to get it while level 33 enemies and that old respawn bug bleed our dwindling stockpiles dry. I founded a sizable Destiny clan, and have run the raids at least once a week on every character for months now. My raid fireteam is outstanding, we have tons of experience in every raid. We've been running together as the same 6-player team for months, and are a well-oiled machine from all that time on task. Last week it took us about 4 evenings to figure out our timing for Crota hard, but this week we knocked it out in about an hour per run. But we could not have done it without heavy-ammo synths, and our Gjallarhorns. That learning curve on hard-mode Crota depleted many players' heavy-ammo synths, including mine. I really want to play the raid again with my friends next week, but to do that I'm stuck farming glimmer this weekend. Unfortunately doing that efficiently is a horribly boring mind-numbing experience, even with the fastest methods possible. Why force your players to play low-level content (usually solo) they've played countless times over and over just so they can buy the necessary supplies to raid with their friends? It is really demoralizing. Much of Destiny's player base seems mature, adults with jobs and spouses and children and big responsibilities, just like the developers. That's me too, 40, married, two children. We want to play the fun parts of Destiny like the raids and weeklies, the great social stuff with our friends that makes this game so epic and unique. But it makes us feel like quitting and moving on to a new game that respects our time when we are stuck with endless grinding for supplies. It seems like it would be really easy for the developers to help out and throw us a bone, at least until the heavy-ammo bug is squashed. Why not lower the cost of heavy-ammo synths at the Gunsmith? They are far too expensive relative to that irritatingly-low glimmer cap. How about ensuring Xur sells heavy-ammo synths every week? That seems like a modest request since we have to earn the strange coins. The exchange rate for buying heavy-ammo synths at Eris could also be reduced, as black-wax idols are not quick to come by. Many of us love your amazing game, and have spent hundreds of hours of our precious leisure time in it. It's been an incredible value for our money. And we want to spend more, and send you more money when your expansions and new releases come out. But please help us in the interim with this infernal heavy-ammo grind. It seems like changing the costs of the heavy synths at the vendors at least wouldn't involve extremely complex coding changes. Thanks for listening!

To everyone who says trading would break the game: 1. Nobody says you HAVE to trade. Just like you don't HAVE to play crucible and you don't HAVE to run raids/strikes. 2. So what if some other moron wants to go on ebay and buy a ghorn for $100? It's not your money is it? 3. People will get lvl 32 handed to them. Yea because I'm absolutely sure that every single 32 did it legitimately. Nobody cheesed anything. ...riiiight. 4. You think people should have to "earn" their exotics. There is no earn in this game. It's luck. I have 3 maxed out mythoclasts and I KNOW there's people who have done hm raid WAY more than me who have never seen one. 5. You think everyone should put in hours upon hours of play like you did. Guess what jr, some people have responsibilities. They paid exactly as much for the game as you did. Probably even bought copies for their kids and the dlc. I did. So if I want to trade a mythoclast to my son for a ghorn or fatebringer he has, it's making the game a bit more enjoyable for us both and, again, doesn't effect you in the least. 6. You think everyone will magically get everything. Well if I trade patience and time for a fatebringer then I no longer have patience and time do I? And unless the person with fatebringer had multiples then they no longer have it. The resources won't magically double (I'm sure the reason bungie hasn't done it yet is because they're making sure you can't double items) they'll simply be shifted from one player to another. In short, stop being some douche-nozzle elitist that thinks everyone has 80 hours a week to put into this game like you do. If a system does get implemented it will be like every other aspect of this game, optional. Edit: why does everyone magically assume that ghorn is what I'm after? If you must know it's fatebringer I want to put in my collection. I do just fine on vog and ce without it. Edit 2: I'm having too much fun going for the armor and learning the raid. Two characters are missing one piece each and one character is missing 2 pieces. I don't want to trade for vault armor. I don't think you should even be able to trade vault armor. Obviously I want the weapons though (greedy gleam in my eye)

New games may be coming out, yes. Many of them may even have better versions of features introduced or used in Destiny as well. However, Destiny is a groundbreaking game exploring and combining areas of the gaming world that have yet to be combined. Yes, there are bugs, and yes, there are better games coming out soon, games that will cater to a certain type of player more than Destiny does, but many of those games are from well established franchises and are sequels, such as Dark Souls and Battlefield. Destiny is from a developer we previously thought to be dead, trying to build a game that will bring them out from under the shadow of one of the greatest successes in video game history, and not only that, but also making the game cross-platform with a ten year development plan. These people have decided to give us a revolutionary new game, and then not abandon us to just playing the same thing over and over again (at least, not in the long run). The DLC may be obnoxious and waaaay overpriced, but Bungie doesn't really have the financial backing of a supercorporation like Microsoft any more. The only way this game is going to get better and be more inclusive is if we keep playing and help the developers. zxrider650's idea of making the game Open Source so the community can help sort out the bugs is a good one, I think. It will help to make the game better and will produce tons of new and creative ideas that would benefit the community. My point is, Bungie is basically a new developer, even if some or all of the core team stayed through the fallout, and this game is their re-introduction into the gaming community, and a damn fine one at that. On their first try, they brought in a brand new type of game, an FPS with a community, not just PvP matches. The fun of Destiny is going out on Patrols and joining up with people to go kill Atheon, run some Roc Strikes, or just hang out and grind a bit.Bungie doesn't need a community of people to bitch at them about their flaws, they need supportive people to have fun and play their game, even if it does have some bugs. The bugs are being worked on, the game isn't a lost cause, and people will continue to play this game in spite of what the naysayers think.

Does anyone else think class items should give like abilities or something?

So let me get this straight. You can fix exploits, and you can Nerf weapons, but you can't fix the heavy ammo glitch. Really???

I love destiny as a shooter! But it lacks everything i really love in a game: Theres no story, no dialogue, and no emotional connection to your character. What i don't understand is how easy that would've been to add! Imagine the game starts before the fall of light! You start off a regular joe being able to see this world the speaker keeps talking about, with your own eyes! You get to know his/her family and friends! Later on your in the Cosmo-dome and thousands of people are being loaded on to the ships to fly to the stars! All of a sudden the fallen come! And your a hero for the first time! You save countless people by getting them through that dam in the beginning and die when you get out. Then your ghost comes and revives you (the way destiny starts EVERYTIME!) you awake with powers! Show the emotional struggle your character has when he awakes finding everything he's ever had or loved destroyed! Then get to the tower find old friends..... Etc! Comon bungie if i can come up with this in five minutes you can do better in 5 years! I forgive you for this but make destiny 2 the game that destiny was supposed to be! Bump if you agree!
