So we get a free legendary. 95% of them turn into complete shit. So when I get something terrible I usually dismantle it. I get ascendant energies from dismantling a legendary weapons. I then get to add those 2-3 to my collection of 300. All of those are completely useless because the new raid uses different materials.
I feel that's why a lot of others and I are complaining because for a lot of us, we got useless energies instead of something special like a ghost shell or even Santa hats. We are not all "Brats" because we complain about a gift that bungie hyped for us which ended up being useless to a lot of us. I am happy for all the Christmas noobs that got their first legendary and I'm happy that the gift helped some people, but I wish bungie would be more creative.
You can argue with me all you want in the posts and I will try and counter it, but I feel that all theses "entitled brats" feel the same I do.
Edit 1:
I thought this post would die out so I stopped looking at it. I'll try to get back to you guys.
Edit 2:
If you are going to come in here and just comment "wah" or "crybaby" or "cry more", don't expect a reply because I don't reply to childish posts like those.
Edit 3:
Thanks to everyone backing me up, it's very apreciated. Although I still like reading everyone else's opinion unless it's a stupid, hateful comment.

Based on Bungie track record and their disassociation to the overly dedicated Destiny players, I didn't expect the "gift" to be worth the load screen, so I was not disappointed or upset. I was just self amused.
-
I wasn't happy either but since it was free it was more of a "nothing gained nothing lost" feeling
-
I can understand why your not happy. You have made the best argument so far. It didn't bother me because I had already made my mind up that the gift was going to suck anyways. So there was no disappointment on my part. Lol
-
Yea got the LDR sniper for the 3rd time. Jus like the past 3 nightfalls all giving me the devil you dont. Only got the gift on one character too which kinda pissd me off. Thought it's kool still got another chance. Nope lol
-
I got an amazing machine gun. Right next to the corrective measure to be honest....
-
I got a gun......I already had......yay (bull spit)
-
It was to appease all the xmas noobs plain and simple
-
3 Risposte300 energies. Bro, you play to much. Trying to get blood from a turnip.
-
They could have given you nothing. But something tells me that would have been better
-
3 RisposteWhat exactly would a "good" gift have been that wouldn't have sent one part of this community or another into a tizzy? The only things "hardcore" players need is exotics they don't have. But give everyone and exotic and they whine because it wasn't earned. Anything less and it is "garbage."
-
a gift that Bungie hyped for us? they specifically said a small token of our gratitude, then followed that up with a tweet, that some will dismantle immediately........ yea i was so hyped up for something epic
-
Yep sorry you got something for free that you did nothing to earn. I feel really bad for you. All of my feels are belong to you.
-
1 RispondiI'm keeping mine as a conversation piece. Pretty sure it's the only rocket launcher with third eye.
-
Modificato da CharacterZ3RO: 1/8/2015 10:47:32 PMLol bungie did it cuz the community does nothing but b itch and moan and they essentially gave us a lump of coal for xmas because of it. Lolbungie'd
-
Why bitch at all you got a legendary for Free!
-
4 Risposteanother proof that bungie is simply not able to create new content for the existing Destiny release.. they simply cant be creatve since everything needs to be coded from scratch, bad design decision for a game that should life from added content.. bungie has not added a single "new" item.. just reskins and opened up areas already created... sad.

5 RisposteIt seems to me if you post childish posts you should respond to them in return
-
2 RisposteSo instead of something useful for some (legendary weapons), you would have preferred something that was useless to all (ghost shell, cosmetic consumable)? I guess I just don't understand gamers today. That to me is like saying instead of giving a few students scholarships we're just going to give every student a handshake.
-
1 RispondiWhile it could've had cosmetic items too like you said, this was good for the community. It helped the Christmas noobs resulting in us having more well geared guardians to play with.
-
1 RispondiThe community hyped it, Bungie mentioned it in a sentence. Just because it didn't come when everyone thought it would (which it did come after the holidays), more posts were made and people blew it out of proportion. If we got Santa hats, in comparison to jackolytes, people would have flipped out more. Enjoy your new gun, throw it in the vault, level it, who cares, it's 150 marks you didn't have to pay for
-
1 Rispondito summarize : bungie is lazy, as is the entire structure of their "reward" system. this "gift" i just another example of how little effort they put into the game.
-
3 RisposteI was thankful for the gesture... TBH I have murmur which suits my legendary fusion arc needs well enough... I stuck it in the vault... I imagine someone's already mentioned but if you level a weapon up before dismantling you normally get more energies 5 etc and a couple (of whatever type of weapon it was) telemetries... level it up without putting in anything shard or material wise I just equip them while handing in bounties
-
I frankly have no problem with the gift, just they fact that they hyped it making use think we would like our gift. I got the Secret Handshake solar shotgun.. I'm keeping it but idk if I'll ever use it..
-
I got a pulse rifle I would be fine with AR, scout, hc, sniper, fusion, mg or rocket Just not pulse rifles and shotguns
-
17 RisposteIts more of something than you had yesterday, and you didn't even have to do any work for it. Who cares? I got a shitty pulse rifle. I sad, that sucks, dismantled, and moved on. My brother got "Up for anything", an awesome assault rifle. I was happy for him. You got a gift, and you are complaining. It doesn't matter what it is. If someone in real life ever gave me anything, no matter how worthless, i would not complain, i would be grateful that they took the time to think of me. This is a video game, not even real life, and there are people complaining that this wasn't good enough? Tell me then, what would have qualified as a 'good enough gift', if there even is such a thing in the video game world? A ghost shell so that everyone's ghosts can continue looking the same? a sparrow so that everyone can continue riding the exact same one? The reason you feel all those 'entitled brats' feel the same as you do is because YOU are one of the entitled brats. Its a gift. In a video game. It helped out some people, it didn't help out others. Get over yourself.
