This thread was posted before hard mode even came out, was just comparing people's different ways to beat him on normal mode to see what was quickest.
There are plenty of ways to kill Crota on hard mode quicker than just using RT x 3, but most people seem to be more comfortable just doing it this way. If you want to kill him in 2 swords, down him three times.
I'll discontinue this thread because it has been irrelevant since hard mode came out.

3 RisposteModificato da ILyncher: 1/21/2015 10:32:49 AMIt's not so much the combination it's time in which takes to get to Crota to hit him. If you can get to Crota (I mean right beside him as the rockets hit him that is the key).start hitting him even before he goes down.the usual combo I use would be R1 so I get in fast when I hit him with R1 I will change to R2 hit him 4 times maybe 5 if I'm on form.once I drop him the second time he will have a about 5% health left no joke.not everyone knows this but when he is falling he takes damage from the sword. If want to know how to get timing spot on,send me message.good luck :)

R1, R1, R2, R1, R2. Find this to be the best combo. Problem is the timing has to be perfect with it. Had also some trouble using it with my titan, slow bastard. But with my hunter or lock a reliable way to do it in 2 swords, on normal of course.

Y-Y-LT-RT repeat
-
A lot RTs and make sure you have a Sunsinger generate a ton orbs near where the sword holder is going to jump up so they can be supercharged by the time they get up to crota
-
12 RisposteIf I see anybody just using Mele attack I give up hope. RT whilst holding any direction speeds up the attack, maximum of 4 hits with just RT and if you get the 8 hits first sword he has minimal health left...
-
Alot of right triggers and then a super
-
3 RisposteBack then hold y
-
RB RB RT does a slash slash uppercut if done correctly not a smash that makes is the highest damage output but its tricky as it you miss the timing you smash and the result could be you are too slow to time the rest of the hits
-
The one that gets damage done then lets you get out of there so I don't have to shoot an oversoul and proceed to yell at my team mates who AREN'T -blam!-ING SHOOTING THE GIANT GREEN PLANET.
-
In my opinion it all depends on where you are when you need to start attacking. I don't have a set combo on crota but I make sure I'm always going to have a super with each sword. Anyway here's a shameless plug showing what I mean Crota's End.: http://youtu.be/r75i3EIWPW4 Just remember to shoot the cursed thrall as they can cause problems.

I use usually use.... Slam, slam, normal melee, slam and then run my ass off.
-
2 RisposteI usually do: little hit -> little hit -> big hit Then if I have the time I'll go for 1 or 2 more little hits. Works well for me anyways.
-
3 Rispostepress the Start button to do an uppercut after you stun Crota if you do left right left right belly shots after that he won't be able to punch back

I just Rt rt rt

Bash bash slice hack thrust hack slash :)

Modificato da FRES 6s: 1/20/2015 10:40:18 PMThe best one that always works for me and does lots of damage is "RB RB RB, immediately followed by RB RB RT." And sometimes you can get an extra one or 2 hits after those two Combos
-
I would say RT only. RB RB RT is not bad but damage output seems to be just a bit lower.
