2 RisposteThe way to get around this is to be a better/ higher leveled so they can't kick you. I'm 16 and have never been kicked, I'm just a little bit better and more effective than the others.

A lot of them are just outright annoying. For instance I was in vog with this kid and he kept saying I'm in love with the coco but for some reason coco didn't register to him so he kept saying bokbo. His friend who was constantly yelling and cursing in the mic was also playing vog. He wasn't in our fireteam but from how loud his voice are, I felt bad for the other team. We made it to the oracles and that's when everyone called it quits. The kid kept dying and not telling everyone he needs help, he kept saying bokbo, his friend is constantly cursing. The whole group was fine except for the kid I don't hate younger kids, I just want them to not act retaeded

had some random young'uns invite me to the raid once when i was in the tower. i usually ignore these requests, but i needed to run it on one of my alts, and it was just the normal raid anyway. three kids (i'm guessing they were 14 or 15), and three randoms (myself included)...the kids were quiet, called things out when needed, and followed directions. one of the cleanest raid runs i've had. conversely, i've helped out a friend of a friend who was in a hard raid destinylfg group, where a little know-it-all shit repeatedly died, blamed it on everybody else, then tried to tell us what to do. i can tell by your sweet bungie id (brah) and your complete lack of using lowercase letters that you'd most likely fall into that second category, only with more screaming. yeah, i'd probably boot you too.

Do young kids often sing commercials/tv YouTube songs while playing? Several people in this thread have complained about it and I didn't know this was a thing. I know kids try to use as much vulgar/homophobic/racist language as much as humanly possible to seem edgy, tough, and cool, but the whole "singing" things is news to me. Please recount amusing anecdotes if possible!

This is coming from an "older" gamer. I don't personally working with kids as half the time, if something isn't working or they can't pass a section they rage quit or they simply won't listen to other suggestions claiming theirs are the only way that works.

I'm 13 and I sadly have a deep voice. I don't have a group to play so I go raiding of destinylfg. Often 5 people together take me and they are talking amongst themselves. I learned to just do what I am supposed to do and shut up. I am greatful that they accepted me. Like so the younger ones can see.

Or at least that's the general assumption, I've played with some squeakers in raids, and a small percentage have actually contributed and were good players. Unfortunately, the vast majority are of no use in raid teams for 3 reasons. 1. They don't take it seriously. They talk constantly while playing about the guns that they want while they should be calling out oracles or telling you what gate to open. It's even worse when you find two that find killing themselves in a million weird ways is more enjoyable than actually playing. 2. They usually leave at inconvenient times. It's not your fault that your mom needs you to clean your room, or you gotta go to football practice, or whatever the reason you throw 5 people when your holding the relic on atheon after trying for 30 min. You have to commit a certain amount of time to it, and if your liable to get yanked at any time, don't go looking for a team just to bail on them. 3. Somebody please back me up on this. The younger they are (at least in America) the more racist and homophobic they are. I'm used to grown adults doing this, but kids seem to take to a farther level under the guise of anonymity. Adults know there is know true anonymity on XBL/PSN, so there is a degree of self control in the majority of adult players when it comes to the racist/homophobic slurs. Kids, however will call pretty much any one or thing a f****t or a n****r at the drop of a hat. It gets extremely immature and annoying the more the slur-per-minute ratio increases. Demonstrate that you are a mature valuable player and gain experience. Some people will hear your voice and immediately get aggravated but if you are worthy of the raid, prove them wrong. Skill knows no age, but is rare to find in younger players. IMO
