  • You may not be, but most older ppl know most young ppl can be pains in the arse, they yabber on about nothing, don't listen, think they know more than they do, run off and please themselves, just a few annoying traits. This is the reason most hear your voice and just kick you, you're better with your peers.

Anyone over twenty doesn't have much in common with people under eighteen. Plus most little kids cuss 90% of the time and think they know everything. They like to act like tough s*** and it's annoying.

  • First of all, if you are a kid then shame on you for using outrageous69 as your gamer tag. Secondly, if this post is a sample of how well you communicate then you need to do it more clearly. Thirdly, I don't want to play with someone's preteen. In my experience most people who sound young are not fun to play with. I have had many adults who I also kick because they don't ever shut up. Whenever I kick somebody I am doing it for my sanity.

  • Because they are annoying and not experienced(most of the time). They act like Joe Cool and think they are the leader of the pack.

  • Its not just the voice. Its the fact that kids think they know EVERYTHING. They don't listen, they do their own thing. Abd they just haven't grasped the meaning of common sense...

  • For me it's the level of maturity. That's the issue I've seen when I play with younger kids. Our fireteam will tell them what to do, they screw up, ok give them another chance. But one does not take instruction and starts blaming and bitching others with their high pitch voice of no cooperations. That, my God, is the last straw. That's just my experience, I have yet to meet a young one who is in one with nature. ... Wait what.

  • I think it is hard for adults to not receive respect. They probably feel a little entitlement, but most don't appreciate being called vulgar names and such by people who are young enough to be their kid, niece/nephew, etc. Peers are a little different, as they have a higher probability of relating to experiences.

  • Hate is too strong. Prefer not to raid with is more accurate phrasing. It boils down to maturity and being able to have a conversation that is relevant. Maturity: I get killed by hobgoblin crossfire. Instead of razzing me a kid decides to tea bag and crack jokes...until he is sniped. Conversation: I don't have homework or live with my parents or focus on girls. I have a job, a home and girlfriend. I will curse but it's annoying when a kid talks and it's non stop F bombs and B words and N words and....you get the idea. Experience: If you haven't done the raid and have it on farm mode then stop bossing people who do or act like you are Wikipedia because all you do is embarrass yourself.

  • I'll answer it from a parent perspective... I don't want my 10 yr old playing with adults. Sorry but I personally think he should be playing with kids his age. So as a parent I won't play with kids simply because you should be playing with other kids your age not adults. The only time my son is in a party with adults is my friends when I am on the mic with him and we're doing Crota or VoG. My question to kids who get mad at adults for not wanting to play the game with them is this.. Do you go hang out with adult strangers in real life? I sure hope not. Kids should be spending time with other kids whether that's in cyber space or real life. What would be interesting is to see what your parents have to say? I suspect most are oblivious to what their kids are doing on the xbox. I don't know a single parent who would approve of their kids playing and talking to adults they don't know online??? I know I sure don't.

You all just got trolled. Either that or OP fails to realize the irony of asking this question in all caps with horrible grammar... To answer in the spirit of the actual question, my Destiny clan is 18+ only and with good reason. Like many others here I regret to report that young people today TEND TO (not everyone) have little respect for the opinions of others, and TEND TO handle conflict/disagreement immaturely. This makes those players hard to work with in a strategy/cooperation based situation. I don't blame them, they are full of hormones and angst because of biology and social pressures so it's really not their fault. That's just the way it is. Protips for a youngin' playing with adult gamers: 1) Don't be offended! Us adult gamers like to poke fun. We also sometimes offer advice or ask you to do something differently. Try not to react to these things with righteous indignation! Don't assume we're criticizing you're play and become angry, we're trying to work with you as a teammate, and it has nothing to do with your age. 2) Don't be afraid to ask! We're not going to be mad if you ask how to play a certain area of the game, or mention that you'd like some advice because you haven't done it yet. We WILL be mad if we find out after dying that it was because you haven't done it yet and didn't know any better. 3) Listen more than talk! In Destiny, there are 3-6 people per team. We know you're excited about what's going on and have a lot of comments and anecdotes about your previous attempts. If you take a moment to reflect, however, and realize you are talking the most out of the people in your fireteam, and you aren't tasked with leading the team, then you should probably rein it in. It's possible others in your group have important things to say, but can't find a chance to say them! 4) Be patient! Us old folks have had a lot of training to be patient with others in life. It's hard, seriously. Young folks have a harder time with this than us adults. Try not to let too much of your impatience come through the mic. We're impatient too, but we have even less patience when it comes to impatient people. 5) Complain less! Kids naturally complain aloud when something upsets them. They don't internalize it as much as adults do, and need to vent their frustration. We adults know this, and yet can't help but be irritated when a youngin', for example, spends 15 minutes on their mic complaining about how the gun they wanted didn't drop yet again. This game can be frustrating at times, but any complaints you have about what's going on whether it be a group wipe or a bad roll of the loot dice - try to keep your complaining to a single brief comment of discontent - because we've all been there, understand, and don't need to hear about it. 6) Don't assume! Don't assume we won't play with you because you're a youngin' with a squeeky voice! I love grouping with young folks! Go ahead and add me on Xbox One I'm always looking for new people to play with. • Maybe it's because you type in all CAPS. Maybe because you might be immature. It could be because you ask too many questions or talk too much. Answer: it's all of the above, get used to it. When I was that age I just didn't talk or found a group of kids my age. I definitely didn't cry on forums about it because I understood it.

    • In my expierence when ive raided with the younger crowd they either give up mid raid. Talk too damn much and dont communicate with the fire team. Left side right side etc. Ask too many damn questions. And dont have either enough synth or have underpowered weapons or armor or just lack in general. I just refuse to play with anyone now whos balls havent dropped yet. Oh yeah and the yelling. That damn yelling. That being said. Fire away.

      • Because the Sound of Youth Only reminds the Old that they are near Death. The Bitter reminder that they have little time left and that everything around them has changed. Not able to adapt they can only lash out at the music, media, and technology that has changed so rapidly leaving them confused. Only to be eventually replaced in life by someone younger. Leading them to try and push away anyone younger sounding in a vain attempt to make themselves feel more relevant and important. Or it’s just stupidity on both ends. One of the two.

I can only speak for myself but I play destiny to escape from all the other whiny little voices that i hear every day, namely my kids, chill out time if you will. The last thing i want to hear when gearing up for a raid is another squeeky voice that i cant mute. However i wouldnt kick you just for having a squeeky voice but i wouldnt be upset if someone else did.
