2 RisposteDeej please put a poll approve/disapprove on post so you can have numbers to take back to devs and show them what their decision will be met with. It will also allow the community to see how the majority feels. Just a suggestion.

Such a good time to play Pokémon.

1 RispondiHonestly I think exotics should be fully upgraded before you get to reset them...otherwise people who haven't even used the exotic can be higher with it than the people that spent all that time leveling it up!
-
I would like to state that I have no qualms with the new exotic upgrade system. With so much outrage, I feel it's important to show my support. I think it's a fine way of doing it.
-
3 RisposteAll I want is to be able to play the VoG without encountering 20 glitches. Is this too much to ask?
-
I think they are stupid. And it seems like a terrible attempt to have ppl pump more hours in. I already pumped in many hours to upgrade my exotics. Through all the bullshit lag in PvP. Extremely repetitive content. Glitches that have taken me hours to beat Atheon. Bullshit supers in PvP. And finally bullshit RNG. No matter how many ppl complain, they wouldn't stick around through all of that stuff if they didn't like the game. So if this is an attempt to get ppl to still play. Imo it's stupid.
I like the word bullshit :)
I'm gonna level with you here Deej, I don't think any of you are listening to feedback. Its such a shame cause there are so many great ideas that the fan base has put up, some which should have been included from the very beginning. But it all just keeps getting looked over and its unfortunate because this game could be truly great, mind blowing even. It could have very well been the next Halo or Wow. A game that shaped the way games are made, a true 10 year+ dynasty, a benchmark for every other developer to strive for. But instead its not, its just a plain jane mashing of all the over played games. I was really hoping that this game would be the one, the next big thing in the industry much like WoW was or how CoD was to fps. Granted I have put alot of time in the game and there are many aspects that I love and enjoy. But it's not what is going to keep me for a 10 year stay and it definitely makes me regret spending for the extra "content" which isn't much more than a 5$ bonus pack of novelties. I keep my hopes that the big ones coming, the big content drop that changes everything. But the more I think about it the more I think that ship has sailed.

my only issue is losing progress on items ive sunk time into. either make the upgrade add slots or maintain the current invested xp. there is no reason that in 2014 i should have to lose my progress what so ever. downlvling went away for a good reason, dont try and bring it back.....

Why did you introduce shards before you said it would cost a shard to make weapons stronger? I wasted 4 shards on maxing exotics. Now im out 4 shards or 28 coin. Wtf man.

6 RisposteI'd be okay with the upgrade system if the choice of what I upgraded wasn't random/based on Xur's inventory. I'm gonna end up using the same gear as everyone else despite my wide array of exotics that I've earned in the last 3 months. If Xur's repeated sale of the Armamentarium and Voidfang Vestments is indicative of anything, the truth of this upgrade system is that the community is going to be stuck using the same 3 or so exotics across the entire playerbase. Also, the cost is exorbitant. You're saying that the 20 or so hours of gameplay it takes to level up an exotic is meaningless, and that we should be okay with reinvesting that time on every exotic we have, along with the time it takes to gather 7 strange coins and 7000 glimmer. And then we have to reinvest time to level up the gun again and get 7 more strange coins. Why did Bungie think that this kind of time sink was acceptable? This is not good game design at all. The only difference between an upgraded exotic and a normal exotic is 30+ hours of grinding. Where's the gameplay? If you want it to take a long time to unlock an exotic's powers, why didn't you make special missions related to the exotic gun that give the upgrades as a reward? At least then getting an exotic gun would be like getting a special adventure to do. As it stands, getting an exotic actually sounds completely undesirable because of how much time the weapons require you to do repetitive tasks. Time is infinitely valuable Bungie. It's the one resource we can never get back. Being disrespectful of your customer's time is even worse than ripping them off of their money. I'd rather buy buggy, broken games like Assassin's Creed Unity than buy a single Bungie title after this. I regret buying your product. I regret playing your product. I thought Destiny was an underrated gem until today. Now I feel like I played a freemium game that took my money just to be taken offline after a few months because the developers didn't care about the way people viewed their company. You got my money this time Bungie, but never again.

What will the light cap be on the new legendary?
-
I'm not a fan of the reset, but plenty of people have better articulated posts below me as well as suggestions. What I'm not clear about is the commendations, how they work while leveling a faction, and most importantly; why they're needed. It just seems excessive to add in another requirement to purchase gear, if I have the marks just let me spend them. All the different currency makes me think the future forgot about labor laws; it didn't work out so well when the coal mines paid employees with coins or credit that could only be used at the company store back in the early 1900's. If the cryptarch wasn't too busy f-ing me over on my engrams he could do a little research and let the speaker know what's really going on.

8 RisposteModificato da H REX: 12/5/2014 7:11:03 PMJust trying to understand this...As many people seem to be. Please let me know if I got this right. If I have a Thorn Maxxed - I need to get a Shard (7 SC, and 7000 glimmer), bring it to Xur,get upgraded Thorn, Regrind it, Get ANOTHER Shard (7 SC) and fully max out new version. vs. Get New Thorn Bounty, get new Thorn - Max out thorn, Break down old Thorn or Get one Shard finish it off? The Grind is not what bothers me....its the 7 extra SC I need to pay and the 7K glimmer PER exotic...That will take longer than the bounty itself, and farming glimmer is not fun and doing a weekly only to spend the extra SC on an upgrade that a NEW item does not need, seems counter intuitive... or am I missing something? Does this seem like a steep penalty to the players who already have the Exotic or am I misunderstanding?
-
So I finally got Gjallarhorn and now there isnt any point in upgrading it until the 9th?! What I think will be a decent idea is that Xur sells the final upgrade, so you can go up to him... say with a maxed out Thunderlord and buy the final upgrade (to get to 323 atk) for 1 exotic shard and 7k glimmer instead of making people re-grind the exp. That's just not going to be fun at all.
-
Deej... Love the game... But even I, think the requirement to upgrade anything except additional damage slots for a fully upgraded exotic...is absurd. Regardless on how quick it will be.
-
Deej. I personally do not like the exotic reset for a few reasons. 1. New players will not have to upgrade anything. This punishes us existing faithful guardians. 2. We cannot upgrade any exotic it has to be sold allowed by xur. So a new player can effectively have a better version of a weapon we've had and are ready to upgrade. 3. If xur sells a weapon i just updated a week later i would have wasted an exotic shard. This would be ok if xur sold them every week but from my understanding he wont. 4. Speaking of wasting a shard. People that used an exotic shard to max out before you announced the exotic reset have done just that. You guys knew you were doing a reset and said nothing when you rolled out the shard system. Thats a dick move. 5. It would be cool if we can get a reskin for exotic weapons that have been upgraded. Functionally the same but it tells people weve put work into this weapon. I.e. a thorn with red lights.
-
There are a lot of people who used the new shards to upgrade current exotics prior to them announcing the cost "trading" in your exotics. It would be better to have to just add like 3 damage/defense upgrade slots for free it's not right I have to pay to update and start over. The weapons perks will be the same in the end and we have spent a lot of time to max our weapons and armor. That would effectively help to mitigate the start over factor after each expansion. Or you can make it so the exotics automatically scale to the max when the update comes out because all of our legendary equipment we now have to replace and farm to upgrade and we are going to want to farm new exotics not have to start over on the ones we have done. Bungie you failed to think this through! ! Many better ways to go about exotic updating.

4 RisposteI like the idea to some extent and hate it on others. First you made us folk who preordered the game to grind out to get our gear to level 30. Now you are giving it away for free practically. So I suppose those who just get the game this holiday will be level 30 in no time considering. I think you should have made it where there were other avenues to get to 30 from the start. Dont call it endgame gear then make it regular. Also resetting our exotics something we worked hard to update is not such a bad idea. However, when a new adopter get the game he is already in the pudding of things. They wont know what it is like to play as a 29 for a month and a half and be stuck. They wont know the grind that some of us had to endure as this game got boring do to the stunt of development put on us gamers who got the game when it first came out.
-
6 RisposteI don't have countless hours to reupgrade guns that I've already upgraded. I'm 30 with a family and fulltime job. You pretty much just made it pointless for me to continue playing this game. Not like your company cares though cuz you already got my money for the game and expansion pass. Maybe y'all should've just added another tier of upgrades that require an exotic shard to unlock. Maybe y'all will care when destiny 2 barely sells. I'll most likely be done with destiny when i get gta5 in 3 weeks.
-
Will guns that I get after the DLC have higher attack value? For example, if I get an Ice Breaker after the DLC comes out will it have a higher attack value or will I have to upgrade it from Xur?
-
1 RispondiWe shouldnt have to re-upgrade weapons and we certainly shoudnt have to wait on Xur and pay him anything to do it, as no one getting the weapons after tomorrow will have to go through this same bullshit, all you are doing is punishing the people who already have exotics (many have been collecting dust in a vault because they were useless like bad juju a nerfed pocket infinity and mythoclast).... you are not respecting our time and efforts at all..... you know i was excited to play the new content i pre-ordered the guardian edition and i have been playing every day all day long since the game came out and you have just ruined that for me i am no longer excited i feel disrespected i feel like you have been selling me lemons i cant use and now want me to pay to fix them to what they were suppose to be in the first place "better than the legendary's"
-
Let us upgrade any weapon to PvE max. Say +10 per upgrade. Weapons still keep existing perks.
-
Dude, you guys have got to stop dropping the ball on this game. You have the creative potential to make smart decisions but you continue to take the lazy route. Why can't you expand on your exotics? Leave the perks where they are and ADD more tier bubbles to unlock to give people MORE. The gentleman on your Dark Below Viddoc was saying you wanted to give the gamers MORE yet your taking away and giving us the same perks and "Calling" it more. EVERYONE has exotics expect the few kids that won't be getting the game till Christmas or the unlucky few to Suffer the wrath of the RNG. If you truly listen to us then you have to know what y'all are currently doing is wrong. If the exotic patch said one thing it was you wanted the exotic to be truly something of a powerful option for gamers to use in their weapon/armorsets and then you are going to take it all away and disappoint those of us that have stuck through this rough patch to see how you will handle the expansion. Y'all have a few more days to fix this. I implore you not to reset exotics but EXPAND on them, have the Exotic Shards open NEW Perk bubbles and NEW Damage/ Armor increasing Bubbles with the new material requirements. You have the time to hot fix this into the expansion. Do the smart thing Bungie. I am counting on you.

Modificato da chickengoujohn93: 12/7/2014 3:09:48 PMDo Exotics have to be fully maxed, i.e. 300 Attack to upgrade them? Can current Legendaries be upgraded beyond 300? I don't want to part with Fatebringer, The Supremacy and Hezen Vengeance just yet. If so, will they still require 18 Ascendant Energy because my luck has been poor in comparison to Ascendant Shards... Any chance of upgrading The Strangers Rifle to a Legendary, seems to be an awful waste of a weapon seeing as the developers put the most time into designing it etc. out of all the Rare weapons...

Well I am glad I have not bought the expansion pack. Good job bungie way to alienate your core base of players. Dragon age here I come.
