have only 18 coins. how fckd up is that? how to get 5 strange coins until sunday? i don't have a highly leveled second character to get 9. :(

Thank you all for the good advises and for your offers to help. destiny has a decent community. unfornately i haven't got much time this Weekend and that is the problem. i will keep you updated. have a fun weekend guys. ;)

It takes a little over 9 hours of gameplay to get character from 1-20, doing story missions on normal and bounties help quickly. I got 3 level 26 guardians and each are different classes :)

Yeah I missed out on the icebreaker bc I was 3 coins short. Ran 20 tiger strikes got 2 and kept running them and finally got it at 7 am on Sunday. But he was gone already:(

1 RispondiHave you done the nightfall yet? I have received strange coins from that before (although it's a pretty random chance) I'm happy to help you with the nightfall if you like. I've soloed it twice this week and just invited people in for the last 2 minutes so they get the reward. Although last time I only got a scout rifle and one guy got 12 ascendant shards, just my luck!

You could always do back to back tiger strike playlist runs they give you lots of rare engrams which can turn into coins.

Xur leave at 5am Sunday morning, at least where I am in Ny he does. So you have time, do the Vanguard Tiger strike playlist over and over because your guaranteed a blue engram at the end sometimes 2. While your doing the strikes kill everything and collect every blue engram you see. Do that for about 4-5 hours and take all of your blue engram to the Cryptarch and you should get 1 strange coin for every blue engram you decrypt. If you bring him 40 or more engram you will get a few strange coin. Also do a patrol on any planet or moon and do a Public Event today and tomorrow, the post master could have a strange waiting for after you complete the event. I was short 11 strange coins for the ice breaker and in 12 hours i was able to get 12 strange coins by doing exactly what I just told you. Ask yourself how bad do you really want the Suros Regime ? I got the Suros this morning, you can get it later on today if you grind it out. You grind it out for hours, you will get the Suros ! Just do it

16 RisposteI need 2 coins for Suros so I'm in a similar boat to you. I'm just grinding 24 strikes and praying that I get 2 before he goes. It's ironic because when you need them you can never seem to find them, but when you don't particularly need them anytime soon they won't stop giving them to you.

Well you could just play a lot and not sleep hoping you get lucky. But the game will know what you're doing and not give you strange coins. If you level up a second character you can get a strange coin from the mission on venus where you kill the Kell. One of the gold chests on Mars has one. daily public event can get you one. otherwise? I think crucible actually has a decent chance. Nightfall strike too.
