You have a lot of s***ty teams to compete with. Good luck.

Realistically, I don't see the Bucs getting him. The Jags are just too pitiful right now. They may actually go 0-16 this year. Our defense will nab us a game or two down the stretch, so, we'll be sitting at #2 or 3 in the draft. Personally, I'd wouldn't mind grabbing Clowney towards the top of the 1st and moving back up for Manziel at the bottom.

Johnny Football will be humbled by an NFL defense.

I'm not sold on Manziel

I agree with the two of you to some extent. But I don't see Boyd lasting long enough to grab, and Mettenberger... god no. I see Johnny Football as a Tebow with a bit more skill. He's a hell of a leader and has a ton of passion. The kind of guy who makes stuff happen. And I see him as having enough skill to be at least serviceable in the current NFL. Not a hall of famer, but serviceable. Truth be told.. I think this Glennon kid has potential, so bringing in Manziel would be more of a back-up plan anyway. He could sit the pine and learn until we need him. Bucs need a QB prospect. Someone to provide some competition for Glennon. I'd be fine if we selected one at #2 or 3 (Mariotta, Hudley), But I like the Clowney, Manziel option more. A real edge rusher would make this defense absolutely terrifying.

The Bucs will languish in QB hell for the next couple years or so. Glennon isn't a long term option (I watched him play at NC State a decent amount), and none of this year's QBs will be of the franchise quality. Bridgewater is decent, but he's the only one, and we know he'll go to the Jags. Go ahead and start targeting Famous Jameis.

I disagree. I think this is a solid QB class. One of the best in many years, actually. I'd be surprised if at least three don't have 6+ year careers as a starter. Especially now that we've entered the option age of the NFL. The option isn't a fad anymore. It's here to stay with the new rules. But I agree that Glennon may not become a franchise QB. But then again.. he may. Gotta give him some time to develop, some competition for his job, and an offensive coordinator with some talent. Time will tell.

Mettenberger and Mariotta both have accuracy issues IMO Mettenberger under throws way too much.
