I barely use my ps5 but I’m glad I got it when they were still reasonably priced.
-
I jumped off the Sony bandwagon after the ps3... No good games nothing I would play anyway and the Sony ecosystem is hyper predatory
-
1 RispondiCould get a pc
-
1 RispondiNow I have a good reason to ask my boss for a raise.

6 RisposteThis gen has been so weird. No way I'd pay 900 for a ps5 pro, what games even justify it?

8 RisposteI agree, that the prices are going up every generation, but don't just blame it on Sony. Nintendo did it with the Switch 2, they even raised the price of their Switch 2 games and they rarely do sales of their games. Microsoft follow the same rules so they can compete with Sony.

At this point just get a PC. More and more people are switching to PC.
-
2 RisposteAnd that's why having physical copies is a thing... I'm going to crack open my archive and go back to playing real games that I can OWN and have THE ENTIRE GAME in one spot without the need for ADS AND SUBSCRIPTION'S and designed to be a FINISHED PROJECT and not a cheap work in progress requiring you BUY THE OTHER HALF OF THE GAME just so it can work as intended when it should do that on DAY ONE .... GREEDY COMPANY'S CAN GO FLIP A FLIPPING FLIP... post Well I feel better how's your day?... Post post...

The price increase is partially due to the increased cost of memory. Another factor is that Sony is trying to recover from huge losses on failed games There is a rising trend of gamers playing on PCs instead of consoles. PCs have become so powerful that even a modestly priced PC can handle many games. We may be seeing slow demise of an era in which consoles are the dominant gaming platform.

1 RispondiThey're preparing people. I don't think... btw, MS is doing the same thing, it's even about moving Xbox Series... or PS5s. It's preparing people for a 1200 usd console. Curated PC hybrids optimized for specs. That's next gen.

1 RispondiNot worth the price for what it offers. I miss when gaming was affordable now it's just to expensive to by new games or consoles.

2 RispostePrices going up is totally normal and understandable… $900 feels like a stretch. I find it hard to believe that price isn’t inflated.
