Genuine question...

Why are (most) people who are frequent users of Reddit just the worst? It stems from just lack of common sense, lack of morals, lack of common human decency, just lack of anything positive... And why are they always moderators?

  • Toxic internet types are cowards hiding behind fake accounts so they can act superior and harm others for enjoyment and hide from themselves building a false image of grandeur over the sad lonely week mind behind it... And delete accounts as soon as the preferred reputation desired is shattered to re play the loop again... And that's not counting the payed actors to discredit or promote on the behest of corporations or their shills limited but not including brainwashed fanboys and sheepele...

  • Reddit can be great if you're looking for straightforward information about a hobby. Like a DIY fix for a car or motorcycle, etc. Once you get into topics where people have strong opinions, that's when it gets crazy. I only go to Reddit for very specific things. If you stay away from divisive topics, it's fine. I have no interest with arguing with strangers on the internet.

  • Because Reddit does not exist to foster discussion, it exists to align opinions; create bubbles and spheres of influence and insular discussion. Subreddits often crosspost, and get into feuds with one another. Some even crusade and disrupt subreddits they don't like. It's a cesspit. Nowhere on the internet is the Dead Internet Theory truly comprehendable as on Youtube and Reddit. So many accounts are botted that you might see the same image posted by 3 or 4 different users in the same day in the same subreddit. People post AI images to farm Karma and then delete their accounts when they get called out... it's pure trash. Don't trust anything from reddit, you can guarantee its got the DNA of at least 12 degenerate social engineers on it. -blam!- Reddit, it's full of th0ts, gooners and regarded kids. That King loser probably lives there.

  • From my experience, game-focused subreddits are generally positive places, and subreddits of literally anything else totally suck. Kirby subreddit? Wonderful. Crystal Chronicles subreddit? Wonderful. BlazBlue Entropy Effect subreddit? Wonderful. Pokopia subreddit? Wonderful. But cooking subreddit? Nothing but bad experiences. Vegan subreddit? I'm a vegan and they got on my nerves. The one I found most strange was the Dragon Ball Xenoverse (a game) subreddit, vs the main Dragon Ball Z subreddit. DBXV is great, I go there all the time, but DBZ is full of a bunch of whiny elitists. You'd think those two subreddits would overlap, but I guess not.

  • I once dared to explain yoga philosophy on the yoga Reddit as per the yoga sutras I was warned by the mod (it was about music in asana practise and why you shouldn’t play it) never went back…
