I just want to say that if they’re merely going to match exotics to tier 5 armor then what is the point of making it identical? Being that they are exotic armor pieces, should the stats not also be exotic, too??
Everyone would love to add another 100+ stat to their favorite build, so why not make exotics’ stat values moderately higher than legendary, being that a t5 legendary value is 100 fully masterwork and modded, compared to the measly 88 current max of all exotics post rework? Make exotics GREAT again. Not mediocre at best!
One option could be simply roll with a base of 75 like all archetypes of other t5 pieces, but rather than adding 5 to lowest 3 stats upon masterwork, add 5 to all stats, with the option to +/- 5 the randomized masterwork and the general mod slot for +10.
That brings us to a maximum value of 115, fully masterworked!
Something like that will definitely incentivize every guardian to wear an exotic armor piece and guarantee that they will certainly feel strong while using it.
Another option would be to give a flat buff to the base value to 90 instead of 75; same archetypes but a 40/30/20 stat distribution, while applying only the +5 to the lowest 3 stats upon masterwork; therefore our exotics still have 5-15 points (min. 105; max. 115) more than a legendary armor piece when we spend an arm and leg just to masterwork it. Make it happen BUNGIE/SONY/someone please!
I truly believe that any aforementioned option would be highly appreciated by all. Please make exotics worth a damn.

Bump this before it gets buried please.
