They are the only ones getting something good out of this mess.
"Watch this for a 4-minute run with grade A"
You check the video, and the guy is way over 400 power. Oh, I can do that too, buddy. I just needed to have farmed Encore as you did to overcap me and make everything easier now, but I have a life outside playing this -blam!- game for a living.
I wonder how many people will quit the game once they reach 350+?
I'm at 400, and everything is miserable now.
Not quitting for now because a friend gifted me The Final Shape, and I will help him with some of the quests there. But I'm this close to stopping playing this crap. Not worth the stress.

I’m 449 and I did encore maybe 4 times

No they dont enjoy this at all lmao. I cant find a single streamer who is enjoying doing content about farming caldera lmao. Also, to overcap activities you dont need to be 400+ You will always ending up overcaping the difficulty you are playing even if its master, or below. It just resets for a few levels when you gain access to the next difficulty. (Like 300 => 330 is tough af, but after that you overcap basically)
-
I'm not saying streamers are enjoying, just saying the ones who make guides are the ones getting something from it.
Also, to overcap activities you dont need to be 400+ You will always ending up overcaping the difficulty you are playing even if its master, or below.
Once you hit 400, you need to play on grandmaster with enemies at least at 450/460LL to get B+ Trying to do that at 400 is pure misery. If you are 410-420, it's not that bad. The problem is go past 400 it takes forever

The problem is go past 400 it takes forever
No. I'm 428 and getting A grade while being 8 light over the enemies in portal activities. This week's modifiers in GMs like solar hunger make the activities really fun, spaming abilities and getting supers ever couple of minutes is a blast. At those thresholds where the enemies have to be higher it's a max of 30 light. If you are setting them at 50 to 60 light higher and complaining then you're at fault for setting it so high. Unless.... Do you have the season pass which gives bonus multiplier?
Once you hit 400, you need to play on grandmaster with enemies at least at 450/460LL to get B+
No you don't. I'm 450 and never had my enemies to where they were more than +20. I ran locked loadout, No HUD, and No starting ammo in player stakes so I wouldn't have to. No HUD took some getting used to, but when you are running the same thing repetitively you really don't need it anyway.

Yes, the game now is a game of "skip everything". Great way to entice your playerbase. Why are we farming items if the best way to farm items is to skip the enemies and clock in as fast as you can at the finish line?

Fireteam ops you can't skip too many enemies and still expect an A grade. Solo and pinnacle is get it done as quick as you can and only do the objectives.

Modificato da EMUracing: 8/15/2025 4:41:32 PMThis simply is not true... 410-420 is enough for Solo/Pinnacle depending if you want to run with or without a HUD and use all new gear, with no start ammo/brawn. If you use 2 pieces of old gear, bump it up 10 more. Its still a breeze compared to GM tier nightfalls from previous seasons. Many of the negative mods even HELP you, like the hunger mods, or shield mods if you build into having an element to break them easier (like hot knife and solar). Also, there is no need to rush to rise above 400, you have very little to gain, other than t5 Kaldera or PvP gear once you hit 450. Play to farm the loot, not the raise the number. Im basically completely out of solo ops, because the loot pool there is pretty poor and already farmed to death when power grinding. Pinnacle is far better, but starting to show its limited depth now.

I think you missed the part where I say being at 410-420 makes everything easier, and the problem is the time to get there. Not everybody will mindlessly grind this -blam!-, having a life outside this -blam!- game.
I think you missed the part where I say being at 410-420 makes everything easier, and the problem is the time to get there. Not everybody will mindlessly grind this -blam!-, having a life outside this -blam!- game.
At 420 you hit the next minor barrier where you have to make the enemies a little higher. It was no different being 200 , 220, 240...... 300 .... 360 etc Every 20 light changes the grade tier and you will have to be under light only if you want an A grade. Players can still level but slower by getting +1 and +2 rewards up to 400 light if getting an A grade is too much of a pain. Then once over 400 is where rng comes into play but when you get a drop it's +3. Funny thing is you said it's no lifers that are 400 and over and did so by farming encore yet you are 400 but you have life? What if a person's revolves around playing videogames, they earn a living. Using that term speaks more about the ones that use it or attempt to use it in a derogatory way.

Even at 400, its not hard. Only needs 410-420 delta mods to get A rewards in Solo or Pinnacle as long as you use the player stakes (no HUD, no starting ammo, brawn). Do a practice run, see what your score is, and what score is needed to complete the A reward. Then scale the mods or tactic to optimize the run (faster). Time scoring matters, its not just beating the timer, every second is calculated into the score multiplier, so the faster you go the more % boost you get. Up to 15% maximum. Fireteam Ops scoring is bugged and just should not be played if you value efficiency. In order to complete you have to run a larger delta, and farm adds before killing the boss, since enemy kills are a majority of the scoring in Fireteam Ops. I have been solo farming Pinnacle Ops for gear after 400 mostly, because the loot pool is far better than Solo Ops. Im not really farming for power level, but to get better drops on useful weapons and armor. Solo and Fireteam Ops share a loot pool. Techsec armor is useless if you are not using kinetic weapons, Bushido is helpful if you are running Brawn, and the weapons in Pinnacle are better. Plus, if you used Solo to get up to 400, you already have all of the good rolls that you need.

Im 449 ik how it works dw. And i tell you, i wasnt getting demolished past 430. To get b+ your ennemies needs to be 430-440. So even when you are 420, 10levels above u isnt a big deal. Its just tough before 420 (nice) and thats where you kinda need to do pinnacle activities or fireteam to lighten the load.
-
To turn your B+ into an A, for having a chance to get a tier 5 from the event, your enemies need to be 450/460. B+ doesn't give me anything useful at all at 400.
-
I’ve been getting T5’s for weapons and armor, and I’m only 393. Granted they may not work for my build, but they are sitting in my vault in case they can be used later on, because they are t5.
-
The event is rewarding items above the usual rank/light level requirement.
-
No they dont need to be 450+ to turn a b+ into a A. I never made them go beyond 440+ at any time in my leveling. And from 420 to 449 now, i always put them at 430 and still get my b+ turned into A.
