I haven't been playing much lately, and logged in to find my guardian name of many years had changed to the default BungieId#XXXX the site issues users. Turns out there was a bug several weeks back that erased lots of guardians names, but supposedly a free name change would be issued to affected accounts. I changed my name once years ago so I didn't have an available use, but now when I try to change my name back, thinking there should be a freebee tied to my affected account, it says that I do not have one after all. Is this even worth pursuing help on? Or given my inactivity I must have missed the window to take advantage of the game breaking and me being away?
