So long Destiny, thanks for the fun and entertainment
I've enjoyed Destiny since the beginning. I remember that first Christmas when no one could get on a server due to high demand. I've enjoyed the game over the years although I'm certainly not a hard-core player. I'm stuck on Act III in the Final Shape. I can't spend the time it takes with the Encore Exotic mission and would really appreciate checkpoints. I work and have family obligations. I can't continue the Act III quest, which is part of the fun of the game. Also, hey why no bounties for Gambit and Vanguard strikes? It's the only reason I did gambit and strikes.
Anyway, I feel like I've reached the end of the fun and challenges from Destiny, Encore is a bit much for those of us that have lives outside gaming.

5 RisposteThat first Xmas was nothing to do with demand but a DDOS attack. First it affected XBox players then PS consoles. Players couldn't log on for technical issues, not demand issues. If you are going to be all misty eyed about the game get some basic facts correct.

I left about the same time they added crossplay. Xplay in pvp is so cancerous, desync desync desync. Lag lag lag. Played a few games here and there but never will fully return or buy anything related to destiny anymore.

7 RisposteKind of feel like this is contributing to the decline in players more than anyone is admitting. Of the people I used to raid, and run nightfalls with none are left. People get families and partners and dont have the time to invest. Im totally confused by yhr lack of checkpoints in the mission, even if it was just one.

The lack of support for pvp has finally gotten to the point that I think I'm also done. With less than 300k pvp players during iron banner and nothing from bungie to improve the pvp experience, idk why stay. The light vs. Dark saga is over. Nothing really revealing for the future. Pve is and has always been mediocre for me. There is nothing in Destiny pve that u can't find in any other pve game. Honestly, in terms of pve, it was always the story that kept me around. I come back every day because the gun play is second to none in pvp, and now it's arguably the worst in the FPS genre. I'm thankful for the experiences and the absolutely amazing story. But it's time for me and my ghost to retire before i start to resent the game i have loved for the last 10 years. If the pvp ever becomes something worth playing again, I may come out of retirement, but for now, this is goodbye.

If you need help please hit me up, as a dad gamer I totally get it, but I'm lucky enough to be able to play and learn these encounters, so if your stuck with progressing that's so wrong from a game dev to lock out the dad gamers..let's get it done

1 RispondiIt's really not that hard once you figure it out, but it was kind of annoying having to play it multiple times for the seasonal quest. I'm not even gonna bother with the catalyst though lol, I can live without it.

2 RisposteI finally decided to catch up on the entire Act yesterday. Everything was going well until Act III step 1. Whoo boy that was a doozy. Took me two hours and 20 deaths solo blind. Got it done. Some steps later- Kill the Choral Mind? I just did that! This time it was harder! Got it done. Glad that’s over. Two Steps Later- Kill the Choral Mind! You can’t make this up.

The exotic mission isn't that overly complicated and takes like max 25 mins to run through. If you need help I'll gladly run you through it.

I try to find intervals to pray to the good Lord 2 times a day. I do all these things, and yet somehow found time to do everything the Encore mission has to offer Skill issue and time management issue homie

Once you know is where to go it’s really not that long, half the adds you can just run right by. Check points would be nice though especially for finding the secret chests that’s when it seems to take forever. Really though an exotic mission should not be part of the story in the first place, it seems lazy and gives us less actual content.
