Honestly I can't understand all this whining about not being the original Saint-14 is going on about, I mean first off he's an Exo so that should've been the first give-away that he wasn't the original and second off as an Exo the number in his name tells how many times he's been resetted and in Saint-14's case he's been resetted 14 times, so once again i literally can't understand his whining cause he was never the "original" to begin with.

It's soy boys like Osiris and Saint doing what they do. Whining and complaining. But to be fair, it's because the writers wanted to make them the main focus for this time of year. But they suck, so the story sucks. Osiris and Saint have been disappointing ever since we found them on Mercury. I'd rather work with the Brays anyday instead of these two.

It's an exploration of what happens when a mind fractures and yet the body remains. At some point every guardian is going to go through that. The important thing is not that saint isn't perfect with osiris, its that osiris and him are communicating about it. You go through ups and downs. Even our guardian, the guardian, has some copability here since we are the ones who pulled him out. Not that I think it's a particularly bad thing, but it is an interesting take that we started this, the sword from our tomb is Ergo Sum and is now in play, and Saint is going through this. We'll see how this plays out, but I don't think there is anything to really worry about. Saint will be fine in the end and if he isn't? If he should perish? Then it was meant to be.

I know this is sorta of topic but I felt the same way about Mara’s voice lines when penetrating the traveler she’s whining, crying and complaining like she’s the one who’s gonna solo the witness instead of the guardian.

Modificato da Ferus Lux: 7/22/2024 2:28:22 AMHe feels that he is supposed to be dead and that his current Osiris doesn't even have the same memories and been through the same stuff. That's still kinda like being with an imposter and even being one. Exo's already suffer from memory reset mumbo jumbo and being a machine being like the Vex knowing what we know now about Clarity, is...alot. It's enough to make ANYONE have a breakdown after being stoic for so long.

Saint-14 should be gutting Vex, not crying like a baby and reminiscing about tea. But hey, the Agenda requires the neutering of men.
-
He’s realizing Osiris programmed him to love him.
-
Hang around a while longer. You’ll hear a lot more than whining when him and Osiris get their ‘private time’.
-
Yup. Whipped Titans are abundant these days. It's sickening.
-
I’m all for strong characters having moments of weakness, but I think the way Saint is going will ruin his character just as they did with Zavala.
-
I’m more surprised that it’s been four years since he came back and this is the first time they’ve discussed the past and are just finding this out. Cause that’s just stupid.
-
Yeah, I agree, all that whining is irritating.
-
Yeah, the saint as he is now was never and has never been the original saint. He isn’t even the original exo saint because he’s been rebooted 14 times. So yeah it makes no sense that he’s complaining about not being the “original” saint

I have to wonder if Saint being made into a whiny -blam!- this season is a jab at how often Titan players complain? If not it goes from a horrible joke to just plain cringe.

Bungies writing has gone downhill over the past few years. I mean, Final Shape had so many plot holes, and the story was driven forward by characters doing the dumbest thing possible. Then you had lightfall, which had fewer holes but still had some. I think a lot of it has to do Bungie trying to make an emotional story rather than a logical story. I hate to say it, but I wonder if this could be tied to DEI hires among the writing staff. I mean, the way the recent stories have been told are more in line with how a female individual would tell a story, with heavy focus on emotions rather than telling core facts/details which is how men tend to tell stories. For instance, Zavala used to have lines referencing Sun Tzu (a famous Chinese military strategist who wrote a book on strategy) any yet in the opening scenes of FS we see Zavala choose to lead the charge with no plan, and minimal help. Not to mention, this would would have greatly impacted the morale of the citizens of the last city as they watch their leader go on a suicide mission. Then rather than stabilizing the portal the vanguard chooses to head to the witness, again with no plans. Had they stabilized the portal they could have easily called in reinforcements, supplies, and had communication.

Just to clear up any misunderstanding, resets are not done on Guardian Exos, the 14th reset was prior to him being risen by his ghost. Resets on Exos were primarily intended to combat DER but it may also be from having to rebuild them after their combat with the Vex in the Golden Age. The point they are trying to make (and poorly in my opinion) is that our meddling with the Vex time loop in the Infinite Forest to save Saint-14 is the wedge that the Conductor is trying to force Saint-14 to comply with them. Personally, the man headbutts enemies for fun, I don't think his motivation would be so complex as an existential crisis. Why think about problem when punch problem work just fine? I'm not trying to say he's not smart but this doesn't really fit his character.

Modificato da MetalMania30: 7/17/2024 4:30:45 PMI thought Saint was anguishing over the possibility that he is a simulation of the real Saint-14, not that he was not Saint-1. Edit: I haven’t read the comics, but I think it’s like how Peter Parker may have been a clone of Ben Riley.

The fact that they changed a story just to push their new narrative says enough. I bet this is why expansion was delayed. Changing a story that never needed to be changed in the first place. Oh, even though what is actually being said here is that this is poor development nothing else. Watch all the hardcore fans try to turn the subject into something it's not.

It’s not just the titan players whining these days, even npc’s do that now.

Amen. I grew up near sf. Lame story, Queer love story hell ya. An exo having issues with rebooting and lashing out at his also undead lover. Might end up being a good story, right now it is myvery the real world destiny 2 sf. Guess that farewell at banshee is for ...
