DEH, just X'ed that She fought for this while employed at Bungie. She did data breakdowns and fought hard so we could get something like this. She even acknowledges that its a PR Move on Bungies End. This is Sad for Bungie when they have to use Work made by an Ex-Employee, to get people to play again.
We got Bungie where we need them yall...Desperate, Broken, clawing for Money.
Now, am i excited for this..Nope. if this was made a feature when DEH proposed it...would have been nice to have when Ada-1 became the Transmog,er. That would have been back in Year of beyond Light..season of the Splicer.
Like many are saying, 9 years(6 years) to late. Got to try harder Bungie...Because im not impressed.
Bungie is doing bare minumim to gain Support, "Love"..so they can reply.."we are listening".
What i want to see is Bungie give(not 50%..not 65%..not even 85%) 110%. Like how my job expects me to give 110% so should Bungie. This so far..i match it to 25%..befor they were doing 5%..a 20% increase IMHO..is not enough. Bungie needs to give it their all..otherwise big bad Sony is gonna takeover.
Though now yeah, it’s probably too late, and they’re not really even doing what fully needs to be done.
This is a very, very barebones version of character customization. You can change your face and reselect existing face options and markings, but almost all of these have remained identical since Destiny 1, and many of them are pretty terrible. You can change your gender, but not your race between human, awoken or exo. It feels like if this was going to happen it should have come with a host of new options for your Guardian making it worth taking your helmet off, which most of the time, still isn’t going to happen. Again, this is something that should have been possible day one, so while I will applaud the teams who kept pushing for it, Bungie not making this a priority for a decade is not exactly something to celebrate.
Spoken Truth.
While I wrote many articles about this over the years, I’d given up for a while now. And at this point with no new or better options to choose from? Yeah, I just don’t really care. The helmet stays on.
Good way to end it.

Edit: 110% means go Above and Beyond of what is asked of you. Bungie shouldn't be waiting for us to ask them to put stuff in or Fix stuff. it should already be done. The ones who go 110% Reap the biggest rewards.

Motivation aside, I'm happy to be able to make a few edits even if the change is coming super late in the game
-
It's called pandering. They're trying to get as many people to buy The final shape as humanly possible to save their jobs.
-
I often disagree with elitist and content creators or journalists take but i can fully agree on this one. I absolutely dont care to change my characters at this point anymore. I wanted this back in 2018. Now who tf cares. The game is at the end of its cycle. I barely even log in anymore cause all there is to do is a copy and paste drip fed story at the beginning of a season and lenghty unrewarding grinds for uninspired reissued gear that they previously robbed from us via sunsetting. They game feels empty, left behind and abandoned. Why would i care about this system NOW? Nah ty.
-
It must have taken them so much restraint to let us freely change our characters as often as we like instead of letting us change once and any subsequent ones requiring Silver.

Modificato da MC 077 Lasombra: 1/20/2024 2:52:05 AMExcept the BL overhaul messed with veteran Guardians whose customizations option support was REMOVED from D2. My D1 Titan had a older man’s face with strong bone structure, a blind eye and scarred face. Grey hair combed neat. I had that for years in D2 until they changed it. They forced a change for veteran features they for some reason decided to remove instead of carry over. So now my guy is young in the face, both eyes, no scars and was given stupid orange facial tattoos. Bungie can sit on it for all I care. Utter scumbags.
-
Was what bungie said impressive, nope, will I switch up my characters, yes, does this mean il throw money at them and play the game past the tower, nope not yet. But least I can drop the helmet in the tower.
-
I find it hilarious that character customization is treated like something that requires considerable amount of resources
After the fact, recently laid-off community manager Liana Ruppert took to Twitter to explain just how long different teams in the company had fought for it, but Bungie didn’t think it was worth allocating the resources
Brah, it's the first thing you meet when you play so how come you need resources to allow players access it anytime?

27 RisposteDamned if they do, damned if they don't.

3 RisposteOh look… somebody is -blam!- about a positive change for the game. How Destiny player of you…🤦♂️

5 Risposte
Edit: 110% means go Above and Beyond of what is asked of you. Bungie shouldn't be waiting for us to ask them to put stuff in or Fix stuff. it should already be done. The ones who go 110% Reap the biggest rewards.
Guy at my work: Goes above and beyond, working through breaks and staying on the job and not having water/shade breaks : is paid 39/hr Me: Does my job in a cruisey manner, not pushing too hard but also not being slack, getting jobs done without over working myself: is paid 39/hr but also not too tired and exhausted There is absolutely no reason in the world why ANYONE should go above and beyond for their company. “But you reap the biggest rewards” until they don’t need you. It’s kind of sad to see grown adults who STILL don’t understand that the company (big dogs, not the workers) do not care about you.

1 RispondiDon’t say X’ed. Just don’t.
-
1 RispondiCommon sense doesn't seem to be a thing on this forum with a few people. OP was talking about the effort being put into this game, the effort the original Bungie employees put into the games they were working on because they had heart. They enjoyed the work they were doing and it showed. Keeping customers happy should be a priority because taking care of them has proven they will take care of you.
-
1 RispondiThe helmet stays on This is the way
-
so bungie made anotehr useless change when they should have focus on something different
-
1 RispondiWho cares I say… meh … give us new weapons and maps not face changes
-
Honestly, does anyone really care about the facial features this late into the game anymore? I'm up for debating over this. Like, yeah, I see them doing something, but where's the appeal? Where's the good faith made in the players' interests? It's not fixing the boring repetitive loop of ritual activities, or making the resource economy engaging, nor is it making certain mechanics of the game like armor stats more impactful and it sure as hell isn't giving us players a Superblack shader. What problem does this even solve and for whom? If I've been wearing a helmet during 100% of the in-game fighting, exploring and picking engrams off of the ground for the past 9 years then what good is them re-enabling one of the most bland and boring character creation features I've ever seen since then?
-
Its coming out after the game got delayed so it most likely would have had to replace something else. It just seems like there may have been more pressing concerns. Glad its here for the people that have really been wanting it though.
-
I'm tic't by the fact they didn't add more options to customize the face of your character. It's been the same ol same ol since d1
-
1 RispondiI'd only be a little impressed if they added new faces, new hair, maybe facial hair, tattoos, more vibrant colours, & that's not even on par with other games like body type body shape etc but it's just the most basic feature of allowing a change. People are genuinely excited, but most of the choices are horrific, & it's 6-7 months away, intentionally to get you back for final shape. It's not even low hanging fruit, it basic game dev 8 years too late
-
1 RispondiOf course adding a highly requested feature 9 years in is a PR move lol The quicker y’all learn that Bungie keeps the game we want locked away… Only to piece it out when needed like they are training a dog or toddler… The better you will understand them
-
That's why when they announced the customization but can't change from human to exo, etc...I just laughed at how many ppl praised bungie. Seriously, they half @$$ing everything to make it seem like they are listening, and some are just eating it up with a silver spoon.
-
2 RisposteThey know they're on the verge of losing their company. They've been kissing a** all season. Too little, too late. I'm betting they still lose.
-
Every QoL change is a PR move. That's kind of the point.
-
1 RispondiAnd? They need all the PR they can get
-
2 Risposte"Character Respec is a PR move" Did you really need Paul T to tell you that?
-
gosh, changing appearance is not a respec! the title reads like click bait, even if it wouldn't make sense :'D
