So the challenges "Go Big (Fish) or Go Home" and "Efficent Angler" do not progress while in the throne world, which is really frustrating/disappointing, as I've caught multiple legendary 18kg+ fish, and sat at the fising pond for over 5 minutes catching fish, while its at its maximum catch bonus, and nothing.
