But the platforms owners won't like that, at all.

Its already been paid for why pay a second time?
-
Modificato da Crisidelm: 6/26/2023 10:40:02 AMSee my reply above; when you purchase a DLC on an platform, you are actually paying the platform owner for a licence to play said DLC on their platform, and only a fraction of the money you shell out goes to Bungie, the rest goes to Valve, Microsoft, Sony, Epic, depending on the platform of choice...
-
Modificato da Holyslime: 6/26/2023 10:43:28 AMbut its already paid for no matter the source your just logging in with a different platform and the cross save is already linked through Bungie so it not like your robbing anyone Bungie controls all tidbits of the login hence cross save
-
All platforms owners want their slice of the pie, and guess what? You are the pie...
-
Modificato da Holyslime: 6/26/2023 11:22:59 AMThat is easy to say doing the right thing is hard it seems you want to defend an injustice it would be easy to allow people to enjoy a game no matter the platform they wish to play as before all the payments were made there is nothing to lose maybe only players
-
No, I just know how videogames economy works. Buy CoD for Xbox, and then tell Sony to let you play it on Playstation for free, after all it's the same game no matter the platform, isn't it?
-
Bungie is allowing crossplay this not a sony or other big game dev
-
tell you what, if you can convince epic to transfer your licensing fee to access the content over to steam so they will let you access that content on steam (or vice versa), please come back and share how you did it as there would be many many people interested in making that happen. good luck lol
-
Modificato da Holyslime: 6/26/2023 10:59:44 AMBungie can make that happen with a quick button push Will Bungie do the right thing and honor all purchases on all platforms for use on their games? or disappoint players as in the current server fiasco
-
uh, no, no they can't. the platforms control access to the content. you don't launch d2 from a bungie app, you launch it from the platform that you play on.
-
have you been to the bungie website of crossplay? then you have not done due diligence
-
Modificato da Crisidelm: 6/26/2023 11:27:32 AMThe Cross-save links the game saves (which do reside on Bungie's servers), not the game licences (which are managed solely by the platforms owners).
-
oh really? so the platform owners own bungie? the platform will send a packet out that says they bought something you can be sure of that in other words bungie knows and contains all data regarding players and can apply that to Cross Play
-
Just notice any time you try to buy anything the game screen becomes basically a veneer for the platform owner's store. Why would any platform owner run something where they let people pay other companies to play on their platform for free?
-
oh really? so the platform owners own bungie? the platform will send a packet out that says they bought something you can be sure of that in other words bungie knows and contains all data regarding players and can apply that to Cross Play
You are being ridiculously stubborn. Pay attention to what folks are telling you.
-
of course you are not bungie please refrain from replying
of course you are not bungie please refrain from replying
Haha. You literally just proved my point Thanks

Modificato da aye'mJosh: 6/26/2023 12:33:49 PM
what was this patting your own back? jokers always popup
Yes, I love being right. Especially when I’m talking to stubborn dummies that refuse to listen to what people are telling them. Again, thank you 🙏
-
wow you would rather be a zombie than think of what is right no need to reply we all know what you would say.
-
It isn’t a matter of right or wrong. In case you haven’t figured it out yet the world doesn’t work that way. Money make the world go around and Sony could give a 💩 less if you already own D2 on Xbox. Sony wants your money so if you want to play D2 on PS5 but you only own it on Xbox then you’re out of much until you shell out the cash to play it on PS5. Right and wrong doesn’t factor in to it.

In this case your own stupidity is shown in chasing down people in general in real life? you have a real question to answer for I think you mean to squelch people
In this case your own stupidity is shown in chasing down people in general in real life? you have a real question to answer for I think you mean to squelch people
I have no idea what you’re saying
-
well the claim of being right is a condition of stupidity looking at facts and analyzing is a different matter
-
well the claim of being right is a condition of stupidity looking at facts and analyzing is a different matter
Anyone can see how stubborn you’re being so my statement is based on proven facts. Anyone that can read can see for themselves by reading your replies. Bungie can’t do what you’re asking even if they wanted to. Other people have tried explaining this to you but you refuse to listen. You’re either a complete moron or a troll. Either way, I’m done with this conversation.
