I watch a guy named Mactics. His videos are for solo players. I copied his Hunter Strand build and it changed everything. I could never do legendary lost sectors solo. Now I have done probably eight different ones and several master solo flawless. It helps to look at which weapons are intrinsically built for overload, barrier or unstoppable champions. I used Le Monarch for some lost sectors because I can kill an unstoppable from so far away that it doesn't charge me. Thunderlord can take out an overload champion, when manacled, before it can regenerate its shield. It does it without having to reload. I run 100% resilience on any armor loadout because that gives another 40% damage resistance. If I use a machine gun other than Thunderlord I make sure it's auto-loading. I'll test on a lost sector where a champion is near the beginning. If my loadout sucks I drop out and try something else.

Warlock your class? I can recommend(drop some links) some content creators I like that not only tell you the build but also the mechanics of the build. With the seasonal artifacts… I would recommend abusing the mods because they really help while taking advantage of them. No you are not trash… The game hits much harder now and it does take a little know how to make it enjoyable through builds

I would say figure out your play style first what sub class what weapons ect. And than look up builds that suit you best . It took me some trial and error 😂 before I was able to settle into a build that works for me Mods do help look for surge mods to give you a boost take things slow to start maybe some longer range weapons so you can stay back a bit until you are more comfortable Weapons with dragonfly or void weapons with volatile rounds do great for add clear 👍

Practice what you want run solo. Learn what enemies will spawn when and where. Once you know the mission/strike/lost sector etc then you put whatever build to use

I wouldn't say you're trash. Videos are only like a foundation; you should do some 'trial-and-error' to find a build/loadout that suits your personal style, and you feel comfortable with. If a build only works if you play a way you don't like, it won't help you. After finding one that looks good to you, tinker with it to make it your own. I should point out, though, that I'm still working on mine, so you should probably wait until someone better suited to give advice responds to your post. Good luck!
