But reddit is your source not everyone's and the post is by a creator. You just compared an apple to a bigger apple. Creating a video of a terrible weapon and admitting that it would cause a spike in traffic is the most agreeable disagreement comment ever written. You're saying that a streamer would say the gun is good, people would go rush to get it, then realize it wasn't good and not use it. What you don't see is the rush and influence. Here's a great question, why are you on Reddit? What did you do with your new found information from Reddit? Were you not influenced? Have you never used a glitch or guide? Do you not listen to friends who got their information from a streamer. If you are just ho humming through the free world not doing much then more power to you as you are untainted.

Modificato da RingersCheckmate: 3/23/2023 2:39:10 AMNo, I actually didn't do more than like 3 master ciatl encounters prior to lightfall (and that's not even the one that was patched I never did the ghalran farm) A content creator doesn't get a farm nerf'd just because of their video, the farm being super lucrative is why it got patched. Community word of mouth spreads how effective it is, but that doesn't make it effective just because someone else said it.

Bro, word of mouth doesn't not travel to the same extent as the content creators for Destiny. You're simply not getting the point. That jump off the map with strand was only found in the new season and spread by many content creators. Some have thousands of followers. Add them together and that makes millions. Then you have people who would never do a master in the master doing the farm from a checkpoint. So what did Bungie do? Made it so you could not hold a checkpoint. They didn't even let the week finish. They patched it mid week. Now you tell me when if ever you couldn't hold a checkpoint in a raid or dungeon? I'll wait.......

The ghalran farm getting patched isn't a content creators fault. It doesn't matter if the whole community is farming a dungeon or just a select quiet few, it's a problem that needs addressing regardless. The checkpoint solution is a very small bandaid solution to the problem. Content creators spread what is in game. They don't fabricate farms that aren't optimal they are just an evolution of word of mouth. Communities tend to act like communities.
-
What are you not understanding about this? For the 40th time, I never said content creators are providing information to something that isn't in the game. Obviously, it is in the game and the developers didn't know that you could do this. Therefore, when they found out the instantly patched it during the week. And yes it was because content creators spreaded the information and people who normally don't do masters were in there farming. I don't understand why this is so complicated for you to understand.
-
There would have been a patch for ghalran regardless. I really don't understand why you fixated so hard on the checkpoint patch being because of content creators, but then stating pretty plainly that it needed to be fixed regardless. I am very clearly understanding what you're saying if the above is all your point is, but content creators can only influence their communities and they aren't responsible for stuff like the immortal being overused like OP really wanted to hammer home. The immortal is overused because it's overpowered, not because coolguy and Fallout made videos saying it was overpowered. It's not "tainted" information because I heard it from a community figure, or because I heard it from a friend, or from a reddit post. This is what word of mouth looks like in 2023.
-
I'm not fixated on anything. You simply don't understand cause and effect. To travel back in time to fix a beig from a past season when there are so many in this season should show a blind man all he needs to see but they say stupid people will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. I just found out the hard way.
-
Your whole "cause and effect thing" is just selective. You selectively admit that yeah, people are going to abuse a bug and tell their friends about it and that's fine. But a content creator talking about it? Now that's where we draw the line, right? Just because it's a bigger scale?
-
You mihht want to scroll up. The whole topic is the effect content creators have on the decisions made in game or the decisions made by people playing the game. No please stop it with these stupid glass half full comments. Either you understand or you don't and end the comebacks because now you are commenting on other threads that I've been on as if you're following me and need a friend. And for a guy not influenced you're here and on Reddit looking for information or just being a troll.
