It's been a while since Destiny (Lmao D1) was actually challenging.
There was a time when strike bosses took upto 10 minutes to kill, Cheesing a boss with icebreaker, sitting in a corner of the room!
A time when players worked together, and speedrunning through content then complaining the game has nothing to offer didn't exist.
Bring on the hardmode content!
Let's go back to D1 styled strikes!

8 RisposteModificato da MrDrProf Oak: 2/25/2023 5:00:44 AMImagine complaining about there being no challenging content when you've never solo flawlessed a dungeon, never done a master dungeon, never done a master raid, done only two strikes on GM. Not to mention any of the pvp. Maybe you'd manage to find a decent challenge if you actually played the game.

12 RisposteUnless there are rewards that match the rise in difficulty, it's going to be terrible. I especially feel bad for New Lights.
-
6 RisposteIf there were better rewards, sure... Right now, nope.
-
22 RisposteThey're overcompensating. "Difficult" in Destiny usually just means "tedious and time consuming." By May the game will be practically dead. These changes aren't going to pan out well for numbers. Nobody wants more of a slog but masochistic weirdos. It's not going to go over well 🤦

2 RisposteModificato da Toots238857: 2/24/2023 2:48:27 PMYou said you're hyped about the increased difficulty..... But then said something about you use to "cheese nightfalls"? So, which is it? Why cheese anything if you want "increased difficulty"? You can't make this stuff up! Only on the D2 forums!!!
-
D1 strikes were characterised by fun modifiers and fast cooldowns. If anything we are back to vanilla d2 bullet sponge. Just sad.
-
3 RisposteNot hyped, but it is necessary. Our abilities were made a lot more powerful with stasis and Light 2.0, so a retuning of the game seems like it was needed. But Bungie also needs to make the game more rewarding. No one is going to play through more difficult core content for rewards that are useless in other parts of the game. So they’d better rework the loot table as well.
-
Except nothing is getting harder, there is no added strategy developed into LF or any existing content. You're just being gated from damage while the enemies do a tiny bit more damage. The game is getting more tedious that's all, time consuming and unrewarding but all you stans and shills eat it up. Bungie literally said they are removing match made from the game but make unmatched shields take 50% less damage. Bruh...................................................................................

Yeah, because not being willing to be creative to at least try to come up with ideas to make things a challenge has been a huge issue for years now. I can sum up the "challenges" in 4 different ways that most have been the same since 2014. 1, Spam champions 2, Spam timers 3, Spam the immune 4, The best challenge this game offers...
Bullet sponges
What happened to developers being creative? This is not an insult or anything like that, it is literally a legit question.
-
Not I. I think its dumb that bungie always goes way too far with stuff. I get doing this for Master and GM, and I'm fine with that, but no need to do this for Hero or whatever the lower tiers will be. Sometimes I just wan tot steam roll things for fun or work bounties without a hassle.

5 RisposteI want darksouls level difficulty in patrols and strikes
-
I made a post of what an epic fail it all is, I've seen it happen so many times.. you end up with nothing but meta set builds for top teir content...it destroys variety, variation and the main thing choice of play. It excludes not includes. Yes, something needs to be done, this however isn't the way, we shall see, though. Wether you welcome this change or don't...its here and we will get on with it. I am hyped about the story, the new season, the final shape....the new mods, especially and obviously the new raid
-
No thank you, if I wanted to play D1 I’ll go play it.
-
Modificato da FataLVisioN_Oo: 2/24/2023 10:18:33 PMI'm excited but will recognize they missed the mark by not increasing rewards or quality of the rewards. D1 had some great loot just about everywhere... D2 doesn't.

I don’t see a forced handicap making me engage with the content more. I don’t hate it, but I can’t say I’m happy about it
-
-
6 RisposteI don't mind it, but I don't really support the -5 decrease to pl in hero. There should be an option to breeze through the easiest content while still maintaining the prestige of the harder activities.

1 RispondiPersonally, I don't see the PL deltas lasting beyond S20/21. This is one of those situations that I feel like the top end of the playbase will be fine, but the low to middle end of the playerbase will take the brunt of the effects here, which will more than likely result in a faster post-release falloff in player engagement numbers (Hence my prediction on reversal). Master content is basically going to feel like GM difficulty at all times, so players who are accustomed to this level of difficulty will continue to be fine, but newer players will likely not engage with the content further upon trying, regardless of rewards tied to it. This will likely put negative pressure on the sherpa scene, as fewer people will want to carry lower skilled players through high-end content in which staying alive/putting out the required damage is not feasible (Just look at numbers of sherpa runs on LFG during GM weeks like Corrupted/Glassway/Lightblade). I feel like these changes will further tighten groups of skilled players into their clans and groups of friends who they know can handle that level of content, but not want to branch out for newer players, which is counteractive to the whole guardian ranks / commendations systems that are being introduced. Finally, any new master raids and dungeons are also likely DOA in terms of the LFG scene after the first few weeks once players start to obtain their triumph seal for the activity. Nobody is going to want to slog through Master Caiatl/Warpriest at forced -20, when even players who are at or above the level of the activity are struggling with it. I can't see Bungie wanting low to no engagement to be the desired effect. I would think that they would prefer to see engagement numbers remain healthy and grow over time as newer players become more capable of engaging with the content. Overall, my thoughts are that adding more challenge is fine, but I feel like the amount of change they have made, specifically with the forced deltas, are going to have the opposite of the desired effect as it pertains to engagement numbers; High-end players will likely be fine, but low to mid skilled players will likely de-populate the playlists and endgame rather quickly this year until the deltas are removed.

Got busy with life right now, but I’m playing the new God of War on the side, and I’m hyped about it. Sooooo good! I’m playing Elden Ring next, haven’t touched that one yet and I’m so hyped about it that I can’t wait to play it next. And I’m also touching grass and a bush. Life is good!

I for sure am, it’s really not fun when you literally can do anything and not even worry about dying, d1 was definitely more challenging, hopefully they make stuff more rewarding as getting stuff in d1 also felt quite rewarding, I do miss the random exotic drops and engrams though and the excitement of going to decrypt them

im all for it but then again im on it pretty often and havent bothered to play much pve due to how easy its gotten
-
5 RisposteA time when The Wretched Eye Nightfall on Void Burn was something NOBODY wanted to suffer through because JESUS -blam!- CHRIST.

Looking forward to it 👍

The vast majority of players have been complaining for a very long time about RNG ( drop rates ) in lost sectors, dungeons and raids. Instead they get more difficulty.
