If handcannons are so difficult to use, why do the majority of players choose to use them in Trials? (I know that on larger maps, pulses are used more.) It's hippocritical to label any loadout you don't use as "easy." Yes, I can probably use an auto rifle. However, can I WIN with an auto rifle? Probably not as easily as I could win using a handcannon or pulse. That's why I will never use an auto rifle in Trials. It's only "easy to use" when it's easy to win with. Most players believe that handcannons or pulses are the easiest weapons to win with and choose to use them in competitive modes where winning matters. BTW, I don't care what loadout you use! I just don't like the elitist mindset 🤷

    They are the most FUN for a LOT of people. If you think an SMG is harder than a HC you’re a lost cause. A little elitism is needed in every game, high skill gap guns should be the best.

  • You're absolutely right! Good point! My argument does make the assumption that players are choosing weapons based on effectiveness rather than enjoyment. However, I do think it's a fair assumption that players in Trials are trying their best to win. Do you agree? I'm not going to say a weapon is "harder" to use, because it's entirely subjective. For me, Handcannons are the more effective option, because I can't hit jack with an SMG. However, I am also good with scout rifles, and I prefer them to handcannons. For me personally, Scouts are the easiest to win with, with handcannons second and SMGs last. I think everyone has their preferred playstyle, and it's not fair to label something as "easy" when everyone is using their best loadouts. I agree with you about the skill gap as well! However, how do you think we can fairly determine that? What stat would you use? K/D distribution on a per weapon basis?
