I have no idea what the PvP team thinks it's doing with Control re: quitter penalties
You all
- force us into SBMM so anyone over a 1.3 k/d is forced into lobbies that are unforgiving, laggy, unfun, and full of hostile players who are also unhappy they're forced into ultra meta world championships
- force us into the most unpopular, large, boring maps that don't encourage engagement and instead take more time to traverse from spawn, to the hot zones, only to die from someone far outside of your range who was posted up waiting for you
- force us into staying in these unfun matches on unfun maps by banning us if we quit
I'm not sure anyone working on PvP right now understands the fundamental pain points we are having, my benefit of the doubt is gone
Bungie i'm sorry i have a 1.8 k/d and i'm apparently the problem in pvp for everybody but congrats, problem solved: i quit pvp, this sucks. i hope that was the solution y'all wanted! can't suspend me if i don't play.

2 RisposteGot mercied first match tonight, someone quit and we got stomped. Just got put into my second match that was a mercy with 3 seconds left on the clock. Bungie needs to execute their pvp team. What the -blam!- am I even playing lol?

Pvp can just die in a hole and of not even shed a single tear at this point. Just saying it's a mess it just needs to go away. It's not being fixed so why does it exist?

Huuuuuge swing and a miss for Bungie the past few seasons. Air nerfs, horrible execution of “loose” skill based match making. More focused gun play LOL. What a joke.

I absolutely despise of quitters, BUT adding penalties to Control ain't the way. People quit for many reasons, but lag/ rubberbanding, facing teams and heavily weighted maps, stick out the most to me. Everyone should just quit and leave the bad decision right 'there in its tracks.

SBMM is control and elimination. Clash and rumble do not have SBMM. IB did not have SBMM.

Being temp banned for quitting a game is one thing, but without fixing the connection issues, banned players will keep stacking up. This assures I won't be playing Control because even when the mode was CBMM, I had serious lag and DC issues with crossplay. Also, my team has won plenty of games where we were outnumbered. One of my favorite moments playing (CBMM) Control was when my entire team quit and I was alone playing a six stack. I thought I was toast, but I held my own. A few minutes later a random blueberry joined and we quickly figured out how to work together. We won!

I find it to be a bad solution to the problem.

1) SBMM is failing because Lobby Balancing is still active. If Bungie want it to work they need to take Lobby Balancing (SBMM Lite) out of the programming. 2) Without another playlist to funnel people into Control HAS become the META championships. This will continue to plague the playlist "But Nash it's a casual playlist right?" It's supposed to be but the community doesn't realize they've made it a cheese fest and by actions from both Bungie and ourselves the casual playlist no longer exists. You either gravitate to the meta or suffer. If you want a competitive Destiny 2 playlist be prepared to not use your own looted gear for a start. 3) The quitter penalty was introduced I believe for 2 reasons. Too prevent people bailing and thereby further causing lobbies to be far more unbalanced. The 2nd was to keep the matches going from a possible stomp to a full on stomp. 4) If you all honestly want PvP to change and are willing to stand by your own stance. STOP PLAYING ENTIRELY. You don't need that PvP suffering for a possible duplicated pinnacle.

I said it numerous times. 1) Bring back CBMM….. true CBMM with no team balancing. 2) Take KDA stats away from control quick-play and the rotators. Disable the third party apps. Everyone says that this is a “chill” mode where they can “relax” and try out different load outs. If this is true then you don’t needs stats in quick-play. This change alone would discourage stat padders and lfg teams looking to boost their fake KDA. I agree that bans are not fair to the legitimate good players who did not fake their kda’s by quitting matches when the going got tough. I don’t feel sorry for the stat padders who constantly quit to create their artificial KDA. Or…..add a matches played/incomplete matches number to the KDA. This would show who padded their stats.

no one is forcing you to do anything. just because other players are sweating and trying their hardest doesn't mean you have to. sounds like you don't know how to change your playstyle for larger maps. the pvp team catered to top players for years at the expense of lower skill players. they know your pain points, but they can't please everyone, even if they invested in dedicated servers and there was no lag or long queue times people would still find something to complain about. i doubt you'll quit, but it sounds like the best option.

9 RisposteIt’s ok if you quit, pvp population is up 75% compared to the same time last season. Meanwhile you will enjoy games again once your KD will have come down enough to reflect your individual skills.

12 RisposteIt's a response to player behavior. Peeps were leaving after light sbmm was implemented. Players farm KD and maintain it by leaving matches. This is the result. Next time, blame players, not the game. It's horsesht that players leave because they get salty. Stay out of the hopper then and stop ruining player experiences.

19 RisposteGotta be anybody over a 1.5, because I have a 1.5, and have been having improved matches. And I'm top 12% in control. If everyone above me suffers, that means 90% of players benefit. That's a win.

10 RisposteSounds like you want to shoot at targets that don't move or shoot back. Go to the range behind the enclave, it might be more your speed. If you are a good player, you should play against good players. If you get outranged, stop running lanes without a ranged weapon. Stop blaming sbmm for your inability to adapt, you've had 3 years of stomping casuals, now it's time for you to earn those kills.
