I have no idea what the PvP team thinks it's doing with Control re: quitter penalties
You all
- force us into SBMM so anyone over a 1.3 k/d is forced into lobbies that are unforgiving, laggy, unfun, and full of hostile players who are also unhappy they're forced into ultra meta world championships
- force us into the most unpopular, large, boring maps that don't encourage engagement and instead take more time to traverse from spawn, to the hot zones, only to die from someone far outside of your range who was posted up waiting for you
- force us into staying in these unfun matches on unfun maps by banning us if we quit
I'm not sure anyone working on PvP right now understands the fundamental pain points we are having, my benefit of the doubt is gone
Bungie i'm sorry i have a 1.8 k/d and i'm apparently the problem in pvp for everybody but congrats, problem solved: i quit pvp, this sucks. i hope that was the solution y'all wanted! can't suspend me if i don't play.

In a non-glory or trials game mode there should be zero penalties for leaving.

Yup, absolutely delusional these devs. In what world does a casual pvp portion of a casual pve looter shooter need quitter penalties in CASUAL gamemodes. (It doesn't need SBMM either but Bungie loves listening to crybabies so yea). Instead of fixing the obvious core issue which is SBMM that simply doesn't belong in a casual pve playlist with an ancient peer to peer system, no, they just ban people who are frustrated with their objectively false decisions. Can't get more obvious how stuck up, entitled and stubborn these kids are.

How dare you?You must like pubstomping. You’re only good because you pick on new lights.” My brothers in light, you don’t like sbmm because you have better matches, you like it because you don’t have to face the scary reality that people exist that can move their thumb sticks better than you.

I'm glad there will be a quitter penalty because I'm sick of the tryhards leaving a game because they can't utterly destroy the other team.

- It's literally 1 quickplay mode this season, go play clash / mayhem / rumble / rift / trials / wait for next banner. You have 1 mode and cry a river over it. - Adapt to the larger maps, use scouts and high-impact pulses, snipe, use Arbalest / Lorentz. Swap weapons depending on map, your 140HC and Shotty combo isn't the all-around meta anymore. I swear... cry for this, cry about that, maybe you're not the target audience anymore? It always sounds like what you want isn't what Bungie is aiming for, so instead of accepting it you scream until something gives in your favour and then scream some more because it worked, wanting more. And now Bungie isn't listening this time. Good. Quit PvP. Save yourself the misery and wait for Trials to get your free Adept handout so you can feel better about yourself as you match up against weaker players who only serve as the fodder for you to step on as you go flawless without a real challenge. I see that 2.0 Trials KD and 69x (nice) Flawless runs.

I can understand disliking certain maps. But you joined a queue of 11 other people that are looking to play a game. They waited in the queue as well. It's extremely frustrating and annoying to wait for a match, just to have the teams be uneven (which in higher skill levels is god awful). It's like agreeing to go play a basketball game with some people on a meet up app, everyone drives out there, and then you leave because you don't like the material the court is made out of. Now everyone's time has been wasted because no one can play the game they originally wanted to play. Yes. "A video game doesn't take as long.". But it's still the same premise, and it adds up over time. If you can't respect other people's entertainment time then there is no reason you should be able to queue.

Suspensions! Timeouts! Ban these guys! Now that you are forced to play as sweaty as we all do now you don’t like it huh? Wow - I love this community

3 RisposteIf you think SBMM is bad, it's because you are a sweaty player who can't handle an equal playing field. If your connection is laggy, it's like that for your opponent too...so that's not an excuse to quit either. You must be the 1% of players who comment about "unfair" things that Bungie does, or you're a content creator. Either way you are the minority. Deal with it. 😎 Bottom line, the 1% don't dictate sh*t 💩 and that's how I like it. Thank you Bungie for giving the toxic crowd what they deserve...a reason to quit.

17 RisposteYou are not forced to play. Sadly its been a long time coming, quitters ruin the match for others, doesnt matter if its a competitive mode or not. Sure some maps are bad get over it matches last 10-15 minutes. Traffic can be bad on the way to work too but I wont quit my job over it. I see many people saying sometimes they have to quit for "legitimate" reasons such as Kids, old pets, emergencies etc (even certain streamers have said they quit quickplay matches for these reasons yet these never seem to pop up while they are playing comp/trials.......smells a bit BS to me) Funny thing is these issues only seem to arise for players on the side that is currently behind.........again smells like pure BS. While I dont doubt on the odd occasion something does actually happen forcing a player to legitimately quit the time it would take to deal with the issue would likely render the small 30 min lockout a non issue. Only pathetic quitters who quit for selfish reasons and want to immediately re-queue will feel the full sting as they should.
