Why can’t we change character genders?
I don’t wanna have to restart all of my progress for a cosmetic change, but I do feel the armor looks better on female guardians, it would be a nice quality of life thing like back in the halo days just switch to whatever gender for your character

Be greedy- if you're going to ask for ability to change gender, then why not also ask to be able to change ALL the character elements? Face, hair, markings, coloring etc. I know gender stuff is a hot button issue right now but let's not let cultural trends limit our focus too much! More options!

Bungie has never responded to this request.

They won't implement it unless it's monetized, there are only 3 character slots, it won't frequently be used, and therefore not much silver would be spent. That's why you won't see this.

It pains me very much to say this, but: I’d pay silver to change how my character looks.

Chances are it’s impossible or at the very least very difficult for bungie to do given the outdated spaghetti filled engine destiny 2 runs on. I mean just look at the artifice armor missing a slot bug. Apparently something as seemingly simple as that has a lot going on behind the scenes. If it was easy, chances are bungie would’ve allowed us to customize our characters after creation. And who knows, it may be easy, but I’m willing to bet otherwise.
