Ya know, since it starts on June 21st in the Northern Hemisphere. Have many many weeks to go before Summer ends on September 22 🤷🏿♂️

Probably because of the same logic that had Bungie plan the Season of the Haunted to take place over a time period that didn't include Halloween. Correct timing just isn't their thing.

Technically summer doesn’t end until the clocks Change again in October that signifies beginning Of autumn and clocks become GMT so there’s one and a half months of summer left in European standards
