Wow that “ great expansion “ was over quick wasn’t it?
I guess its time to wait for GMs just like every other season lol Not much content besides the story.

This, this is the expectation everyone should have had. If you didn’t you’re either new here or delusional. If you want new, find a different game. Destiny has run its course. Other than the story and lore there is nothing left. And that could just as easily be a YouTube video and be done with it. Edit: I’ve received some flak for the implication that it takes 11 weeks to grind to max level,…not exactly what I meant, but fine,…feel free to adjust the 11 weeks into some formula that fits your dedication and number of play hours to reach max light and then fill the remaining time with meaningless grind and/or waiting for season reset. You do you. Just try to grasp the point along the way.

1 RispondiI’d say it ties with Rise of Iron for #3. Taken King and Forsaken were both a little better. I went really hard. Now it’s back to normal Destiny time. 3 raids per week + weekly challenges + triumphs + chilling in playlist activities along with GMs when they come out. I’d still give this expansion a 8.5/10 overall. Hopefully the seasons keep it going. Forsaken era will likely be #1 for the rest of time, but I’d bump it up to #2 if the seasonal content is on par with last year’s. Taken king’s content drought was brutal

I mean. It was more story missions than forsaken. Because forsaken had these as story missions. Prison. Meet spider. Go after uldren and big scorn daddy. Go to the dreaming city. Thats 4 story missions compared to the 6 or 7 in witch queen.

Had a lot of fun for 3 weeks. Leveling has always been my favorite lol…. 1680…. Pretty much done - got everything there is to get… wellspring and psiops suck…. But haven’t tried the new raid.. not sure I will with all this symbol stuff…

Meh, I still have lots to do and enjoy. Haven’t rushed through anything. Learned to pace myself and fill the gaps in with PvP just cause I enjoy it at times.

This is a loot driven game yet it seems to lack the loot. Look at Wellspring. It is 1 single map only. They just made attack/defend backwards from each other and that's it. Wellspring should have 4 different locations, each with attack/defend, and it should have like 5-6 unique weapons to earn that you can only earn in Wellspring. Psi Ops Battlegrounds should have 4 maps. Why only 3? And they should be completely new areas, not EDZ/Cosmodrome/Moon recycled areas. Isn't this paid content? We paid money to fight on the EDZ and Cosmodrome in a "new" activity? There should be 4 unique, brand new maps. They shouldn't be drip fed either. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Drip feeding maps for a new mode instead of giving us a rotation to enjoy on day 1. We had to wait an entire month for 1 single map. Who the hell cared after that amount of time? We were bored of the other 2 maps because 2 maps is not enough. How do they expect to hold our attention when there's barely any desirable loot to chase and these activities have barely any maps, making them extremely boring after one week? Remember Menagerie? It had 7 different encounters, with 3 bosses, and a whole ton of loot to chase. The heroic mode had new loot with the class swords. People were grinding Menagerie for over a month. Now look what we get. Recycled areas and 1 single map for Wellspring with literally no desirable loot to chase at all. I guarantee the legendary Psi Ops BG's won't have any new loot in them like they should. It will just be an extra chest like legendary Astral Alignment and nobody will care to do it.

6 Risposteit's funny when people say this is the best dlc ever when it has next to no content and a decent story that only gets good in the last three missions. Well I guess we all wait for lightfall and its week of content.

I think its to do with the seasonal design structure Bungie is doing now which is real cookie cutter. So the DLC should last a few weeks at most then should be supplemented by the season but the season sucks. This season is literally no different structure wise from Chosen, Splicer or Lost. There is another 3-6 man matchmade activity which is literally just more battlegrounds and there is another weekly seasonal story quest that is gated each week. Its boring and overdone at this point and I would rather have more experimental seasons that make Destiny weird and fun to play again rather than another excuse to push some more crappy writing to develop a plot no-one cares about. Its so weird how you can compare the seasons we got recently to seasons from Shadowkeep and its really weird how Bungie did try lots of different things during Shadowkeep with activities and structure then just sort of got lazy and decided to do the same structure of a season since Chosen. But back to the expansion a lot of the problems with it are there isn't much reason to play the actual content within the DLC, the Wellspring is literally... and I MEAN literally pointless as an activity as it only serves as just for you to farm guns to unlock those few weapons then never play it again outside of Master maybe for the pinnacle. The Preservation mission is just a quick mission to play for a pinnacle again and the patrol destination has no reason to go to it at all really. Then the weekly replayable story mission you will only play if you care enough about crafting enhanced perks on a gun. It started off strong with a decent campaign but it feels like thats where all the effort went and then Bungie patted themselves on the back and thought that was enough for a yearly DLC.

The dlc wasn't bad it was just unfortunate enough to be released around the same time of Elden Ring. Other than that yeah nothing to really do until GMs and even then there will still be nothing to do until next season or dlc especially when you have all the god rolls you want for each weapon and there's really no point to over level your power considering that outside the raid most of the activities don't need that high of a power and also we're limited to a certain amount of power for GMs, Trials, and Iron banner so it doesn't matter anyway. I mean yeah it's cool to have a high power but nowadays it isn't anything to brag about especially since we have all these xp glitches which I'm pretty sure some people have found more that work. Tbh I can't see how people can play Destiny that much, content creators I kind of understand since they built their content around Destiny but everyone else...I mean we all have that favorite game that we want to keep playing no matter what but come on there's other games out there that are IMO some what better than Destiny. Consider taking the time to find another game you might enjoy, take it from me I'm buying Tina's Wonderlands so I can play it this week but for now I'm planning on going through every character in the entire Borderlands series maxing them out and trying to get perfect gear for them at the same time but hey that's just because the Borderlands series will always have a place in my heart, Borderlands 1 was one of the first games I've ever played. Anyways just because you stop playing Destiny doesn't mean it'll disappear but hey once again keep playing it if you want I'll respect that but I'm just wanting you to know there are other games out there. I apologize if this went way off topic of what the post was actually about but I felt the need to tell people.

The story was good until the last mission. Fighting her 5 times in a row wasn’t very creative.

When you think of it, many players finish standalone games in about 40-60 hours or three weeks or so. But they pay about the same price as a full year worth of Dedtiny 2 seasons. So on the whole it's not a bad value for entertainment. But I do see you're point. I'm finished the campaign and have done a ton of the other activities, etc. I had a good dose of Destiny 2 for the past three weeks but I'm going to pause except for the ongoing Crow saga stuff.

i hated the story.. seriously i just left my headset off and tried to beat as fast as possible on legendary. I only enjoy PvP in this game. The story is boring.. the only difficult part of this game/raid/grandmaster is just alot of health AI. I wish they bring back more mechanics and more crazy dungeons and more mind trip content, maybe like pvp raid style and put jumping puzzles in the match or to complete a raid you have to go against another raid team. like some kind of messed up rat race. more difficulty more time challenges. original d2 nightfall time challenges were 10x harder then these current "Grand Masters". Also Pvp in vanilla was 100% more TEAM oriented with the 1 shot kills lock behind power ammo.

7 RisposteMeh. Datto and friends were saying best expansion campaign. And while I despise the literal story of the campaign I will say the missions themselves are excellent and there are quite a few other good things about WQ. That being said the only reason it ranks slightly higher than things like BL is because the season that follows it. Risen feels like a real connected season with the story whereas the past two expansion seasons felt sorta disconnected with some faint ties. I’ve got plenty of other thoughts but WQ is good. Not the best(pretty hard to beat TTK and Forsaken) but above many others in my opinion(TDB, HOW, COO, Warmind, Shadowkeep, BL).

Here we go again… Bungie can’t make enough content to keep me deeply engaged for 8-10 hours a day for 2-3 months so they are a garbage company… tired irrational position is tired.

Then you’d all complain that it is coming out too slow. You wanna make a game that is constantly handing out content, never runs out of stuff to do, keeps the player base happy, and has amazing campaigns, be my guest. Hit me up when you can do that.

It was great but the Taken King is still my premium DLC, hands down. I already stopped playing and played Taken King for months and months. I will finish the season and call it quits. PVP is a wreck, no new strikes. No loot behind regular strikes. The old nightfall weapons should be the loot. I ain’t motivated. Weapon creation is fun but I got my good stuff thru regular play. Enhance perks are not worth the grind. I don’t have time like I used to. A beautiful game still but is it for me anymore? I keep asking myself that. Nobody in my circle plays it anymore. They all prefer Elden Ring over this. Or Horizon Zero. I purchased the seasons so I will grind them until I hit 100 complete. Then off to other games. Maybe it is supposed to be like that.
