Postmaster needs a change
Not only have I just been pissed off trying to solo GOA using a hammer Strat, that doesn't want to cooperate, but now I just lost all the mats in my post master, to be replaced by all blues. I don't want them, I don't need them, give me material instead. I hate this game more everyday. I’m not concerned about the lost mats, but the system is bad. My main concern is ascendant shards, only able to hold 10. Either increase it to 25+ or let me put a stack in the vault. Then I’m good. You can hold reasonable amounts of all other materials, if you leave armor or weapons in, that's your fault. However, it would still be far more reasonable to push lower level items out if the post master before high tiers. There’s no valid reason to lose things you’ve earned.

Take a second to delete those blues you picked up. What’s a reasonable amount? Is there a reason you need to fully masterwork 8 armor sets at the start of a season? That’s the current limit of 10 (+30) ascendant shards. What you’re asking is a limit where you can masterwork 20 armor sets with the mats you’re holding onto. I agree it’s annoying but I don’t think the postmaster needs to change. It’s not meant to be extra storage. Manage your inventory better and it can be.

28 RisposteThe postmaster is not, and has never been, intended to be used for storage. Anything you leave in there, you risk losing. Bungie will not replace lost or deleted items for any reason.

You can get upset and whine all you want. Theyve said COUNTLESS times, Postmaster is NOT storage. Your own fault if you lose anything stored in there.

1 RispondiThe postmaster is a symptom of a bigger problem. For those saying the postmaster is not intended for storage, that is true. The problem is that the thing that is intended for storage, the vault, has a low capacity compared with the game’s options that could be useful for either specific purposes, or some future meta. Related to that, the game spams you with blue drops. This is a very frequent complaint that Bungie should address, not blame people for “misusing” the postmaster.

3 RisposteI have lost hundreds of Spoils, over a hundred Prisms, and well over 20-30 Shards total from PM. I agree that the system as a whole is not a good one, very antiquated, and needs to be more in tune with players desires. However, every time I loose something from Post, I do realize it is my own fault and I have nothing to complain about at this point in time. You are not wrong that the system is not a good one, but until it is changed, be careful about storing stuff in Postmaster. And if you do happen to loose valuable materials, understand that currently, it is on the player.
