Trials matching just as bad as pre rework
over this weekend i tried every day to play trials, the stupid decision to remove freelance AND the flawless pool caused me on
Friday: to go against multiple 3man flawless groups while me and other solos got screwed over
Saturday: I had a 3 man group and we got matched with ONLY flawless people, keep in mind none of us had won a SINGLE match so far, all either being blowouts or us winning one measley round, still ONLY flawless 1330 sweats
Sunday: Flawless 3mans again for nearly every game, the few times we managed to win ONE fairly matched game we got thrown right up against 1330s using their adept palindromes and masterworked eyes of sol or their masterworked shayura's wraths

This -blam!- is just as bad if not WORSE than how trials was before! WHY WOULD YOU REMOVE THE FLAWLESS POOL!??????? WHY WOULD YOU REMOVE FREELANCE!?!??!?? This new matching system is so god awful that i never want to even TOUCH the mode again. Seriously what were you thinking???????
I thought that it would match me and my mates all with no wins against others with no wins not people who already went flawless, is there no backlogging or something? because if there isn't there really should be

Last week gave me a chance along with the rat in the the top 30 percentile. This week they messed it all up. I had 20 wins with no flawless and played against the best in the world. How does that add up! One team was in a 17 game streak with a 3000 Elo and they have gone flawless. Not fair to us who have been grinding all weekend!! Bring it back to flawless and not flawless pool please

1 RispondiLast weeks trials was a blast for me. Had so much fun as a solo player. This weekend is so frustrating for me. Freelance and or flawless pool needs to come back.

I know they don’t read this stuff because the matching had just gotten so bad like every time they put out a new update trials gets worse I’m currently not flawless and playing on a Monday at 8:30 at night yet still playing sweats this is absolutely ridiculous bungie don’t care about anything anymore

And the elites do NOT want to play people of their own skill level (except for maybe 1 match out of 7 per flawless run). You can't keep non-elite people in the playlist to be "food" if they're constantly being curbstomped, but the elites want to gatekeep and have "EZ" flawlesses (lots of food) somehow. Trials is going to die over and over and be a headache for Bungie forever.

If they want to, they can just abandon the mode entirely. New Crucible and Gambit maps, and strikes. New and reissued weapons in forgotten archetypes (Aggressive Pulses…) Heck, Iron Banner and seasonal events need reworks bad too. Trials has had its time in the sun. All they need is to set it to where it was 2 weeks ago and add a new weapon or two every season.

7 RisposteI don't understand what they were thinking - apparently they got upset some folk were resetting after 6 wins and just farming loot? They did a good job getting Trials playable again and someone at Bungie said 'here hold my beer' . WTH was wrong with people farming loot? Is this game not a looter shooter? This was terrible. I am not a tournament PVP player.

You know what's weird? Other than last week this is the best overall week in terms of gameplay quality for me personally. Its just about the most exhausting and eye rolling week I've had too so who knows how its going to turn out overall.

1 RispondiI agree that this was the worst weekend of Trials enjoyment-wise in as long as I can remember.... it feels like I'm back to pre Trials revamp days.... Over the past Trials weekends I've been able to go flawless in every weekend except the first (after revamp), I've moved up into the top 20% in elo, which I thought was pretty good - and this weekend, I've played stack-after-stack, non-competative-match after non-competative match, over and over. Whether it was in a group with my friends losing, or solo losing, it has been the same un-fun experience it was prior to the revamp. I struggled to even get 7 wins total on 2 characters to get the pinnacle reward from Saint-14... no chance whatsoever at a flawless run, even on Monday when normally the flawless queue would have given me that last chance. It's hilarious. I have never seen a developer try so hard to destroy a mode in my life. They are so out of touch it's not even funny.

I knew I made the right choice avoiding trials this weekend. Longer matchmaking times for a more balanced matchmaking system seems better to me than whatever this win based system is. Seems trials went from one of its best weekends to its worsts.
