Heir apparent shield
This thing is broken in crucible. It withstands arcstrider and stormtrance too. How does an arc shield not get broken by arc weapons or supers?... This thing needs a nerf in PvP

Sure in control its kind of whatever, but hop in to rumble, survival, shoot even trials and see if that don't change your mind reeeal quick! Lol. That said bungie has already said they will be doing something to it. For now, when I see that, if I can I just run away, which is very easy to do since they can't move very fast with it on lmao

It withstands arcstrider and stormtrance too.[/quote] You are using the two worst examples for fighting heir appearant, any melee focused subclass is almost useless (minus middle tree arc) against heir appearant because they will most likely get shredded before getting the shield down. If you play as a team middle tree arc could easily take the shield down if your team supports you and helps break it. This can be countered by the enemy team actually playing as a team. Stormtrance has pitiful dps in the first place so it’s not the best example. This would need a nerf if it was special… but it’s a heavy. It’s fine this way, if the enemy gets the heavy it’s your team’s fault for not holding it down. With the catalyst, it takes (depending on the archetype), almost 3 shots with an ARC Sniper to break the shield; It can also block a fist of havoc melee / slam, and takes more than 3 arcbolt grenades to break. This is ALL with ARC-Elements. You have extremely little hope of even getting it below a quarter shield otherwise, even with Supers (it can tank 3~ golden gun shots with the catalyst). The only weapon I've seen have a chance of beating it head-on, is Wardcliff Coil, or a high-impact ARC rocket launcher with cluster bombs. The standard Heir Apparent is pretty easy to counter without the catalyst so long as you're careful, but it's near impossible to fight against with the catalyst equipped if they have the shield up.[/quote]

What they should do is make it where Heir Apparent’s shield matches your subclass element You may think “don’t Cabal mostly have Arc shields?” As far as I can tell they in fact mostly have Solar shields

6 RisposteStasis and Arc Fusion Rifles e.g. Plug One, Exile's Curse, Techeun Force are the best counters to it. Coldheart and Symmetry's alt fire are also solid.
