According to the Cryosthesia lore tab Splicer Gauntlets can be used to throw off Vex targeting.
Since Mithrax was there it's likely he was doing exactly that.
It could've been shown more in the cinematic, but I'm just happy there's an actual reason for the crappy aim.
Edit: Seems like lots of people are disregarding lore released months ago just so they can say "BuNgiE bAd".
I get the cutscene could've used a LOT more polish, like Saint not using a bubble or a Banner Shield for whatever reason, and they definitely should've thrown in a line from Mithrax saying he was manipulating their aim, but seriously.
Disregarding lore already released BEFORE the cutscene is just dumb.

1 RispondiAll I’m saying , is that I thought I was higher on the food chain then Amanda Holiday

3 RisposteI think it would have been more interesting if Saint had popped a Ward of Dawn to hide the Fallen inside of and have the Vex actually be hitting it instead of them all missing. It would have nicely paralleled the cinematic from earlier in the season; whereas before the Ward was something that no Fallen would ever escape, now it would be used to actually protect them.

28 RisposteI like how far some players go to justify what is in reality a crappy cutscene 😆 Good on you
-
4 RisposteI'm waiting for people complain about Shaxx not wearing matching socks or something like that. Some people seem to be really bending over backwards to find things to complain about.
-
Excuse me?! Those things have aimbot unlike anything I have seen. At least, sometimes they do. We need to use those splicer gauntlets to throw off those stupid vex hobgoblin champions that always land their shot.
-
He must has affected ikoras aim since hse hit mithrax and saint with the nova bomb. Also Amanda since she fired 3 shots and killed 1 vex.
-
24 RispostePeople really do be out here like "Bungie I spent $10 on this season I expect 4 months of non-stop continuous entertainment and god tier movie cutscenes". Then again its trendy to be a negative nancy and focus solely on negatives nowadays because "hurrrr I just love the game and want it to get better" even though an unending stream of negativity will dissuade potential new players from picking it up.
-
They probably made that lore so they could make a bad cutscene and say there’s an explanation as I assume they plan ahead
-
1 RispondiI'm sure Saint was popping bubbles left right and center, he was probably burnt out during the cutscene or they would have had him banner shielding the crowd and it breaking with Mithrax firing through it
-
Na, it’s called plot armor, and you’re rationalizing it away.
-
The crappy aim is not the only reason why the cinematic was so bad though and even in this case, were the crappy aim can be explained, not a single thing in the cinematic indicated the Splicer Gauntlet was used. Finally, I rewatched the cutscene a few times to see if mithrax even had the gauntlet on him and tbh, I didn't even him wearing it.
-
4 RisposteEh, why didn't Saint just summon a Commander's Wall or farted out a Ward Of Dawn bubble? 🤷♂️
-
3 RisposteStorm trooper aim? I want your enemies. Mine are expert aim bots that hit the mark all the time. Especially the snipers.
-
Wait so it's not vex arthritis?
-
10 RisposteWhat was Saint using? 5 rpm scout? It was a kinda cheesy cutscene as far as the action goes. I would have liked it better if it was more of an anime or comic book style. I liked the story though. It was a good season for story telling.

4 Rispostewhy don’t we utilize this in glassway gm…
-
8 RisposteLot’s of jokes are made about “aim” in films like Star Wars etc. but the actual statistics on actual soldiers and the amount of shots that miss are staggering. I’ve seen figures up to 100,000 bullets fired per kill during WW2, 60,000 in Vietnam. As for “The War on Terror” we are talking 250,000 rounds per kill. I guess that fighting a noun can be technically challenging.

How very convenient 😑

Oh yeah, Bungo! Good job on makin’ em REAL threatening with that tidbit! This is absolutely hilarious! Freakin imagine! “Oh, Guardian, whatcha gonna do with that handy-dandy Splicer Anal Fisting Glove now that this is all over?” “Trash it.” “Oh okay you mean that glove that hacks all their important shit and throws off their targeting alright cool good job you getta star” Hahahahah! Unless, of course… they come up with ANOTHER shoddy tidbit that justifies how stupid THAT decision is! Which they probably will! HAH! This is more than just the shills justifying how nonsensical the writing is! It’s also yet another lovely example of the game justifying how nonsensical ITSELF is! HAHAHAHAH! Never change, Bungo! 👌👌👌

I always seem to forget that destiny is a really expensive, interactive, electronic book with illustrations 🙄
-
1 RispondiBecause of course there's a reason.
-
3 RisposteThey've been aiming like sh*t since 2014, what's your point?
-
Ah, a lore tab. Storytelling rule #1: tell, don’t show.
Wait…
The problem is that they weren’t on GM difficulty.

I think people also forgot that aside forum Wyverns the Vex we have seen are builders/engineers not warriors
