First off this isnt about bungie and the comments towards stasis and pvp and all that stuff, I do think that the criticisms there are valid and even some of the frustration
What I’m talking about is being nicer to eachother as players like stop trying to start arguments with everyone on the forums if you dont like the game or someones take on it just leave it
In game can we knock the whole t-bagging thing on the head we’ve got emotes tbf
After match messaging. if you do this sorta stuff you’re toxic, why go out of your way to remind that blueberry with the .7 kd that he’s trash or moaning at someone using jotunn, there’s just no need
Tldr: we as players need to do better as toxicity is just as big an issue as stasis, pvp issues and anti cheat and contributes to a declining population in the playerbase it’s also the second biggest reason (after stasis) that nobody wants to play trials
Be kind guardians

Bungie fans the flames of toxicity from their political views to the people fighting over bounties.

If you get people messaging you just ignore it and if they start to spam you then just block them.

I agree it's time we get rid of crucible

10 yrs in and people are still making this post. This is the most toxic gaming community I’ve ever been a part of and I’m 46. It will never change. Which is sad. If all the people that liked your post actually practiced what they preached and didn’t put restrictions on people on the fire team app and accepted everyone instead of immediately checking peoples stats and shunning them then we would see change. That will never happen
-
1 RispondiWe as a community need to stop being a bunch of snowflakes that have to amuse by social restrictions

25 RisposteRolled my eyes sooo hard when I read this I almost broke my neck. So toxic? Stop being so soft.....It’s a game. It’s not real life. Come on!!!!! Am I the only one????? I could care less when someone makes me a hot cup of salty tea, means I pissed them off.

15 RispostePeople are shitty and anonymous competitive sports where derogatory and shitty behavior are encouraged will always attract the worst sort of people.

Hmmm so with this statement: "What I’m talking about is being nicer to eachother as players like stop trying to start arguments with everyone on the forums if you dont like the game or someones take on it just leave it" What you are saying is we have to agree with you or we are toxic. I mean you make a statement and give your opinion then I disagree thus presenting my argument then I am toxic. Ok just wanted to make sure I was clear on your mindset.

There’s a lot of snotty nosed know it all I’m always right brats that play this game. So it’s to be expected.

Modificato da TRAP: 5/21/2021 6:22:31 AMI love how half of the comments here are "I dont mind teabaggers, but also go out of my way to hunt them down and bag them to oblivion". It may be just my luck, but I never ever met a teabagger who was also a good player, it's always somebody on the lower part of the scoreboard or an outright cheater, sometimes they dont even kill you, just bag a corpse. As for revenge bagging - only if my friends got bagged, then everyone else comes down on the bagger.
-
2 RisposteYa... went into IB last night, and all my matches I got T-Bagged on my first death, I was using Traveler’s Chosen and Outbreak Perfected (1 OBP - 2 TC) so after that I went full sweat, bagged them like crazy, emoted every 4 stack that bagged, won every game against the baggers, and dropped 31-49 kill games on them. Let’s just say the match the 4th match I played the 3rd game 4 stack baggers, they didn’t bag again. In short, bag all you want. I don’t mind. I just found it funny and thought I’d share it here :)

I can agree that the toxicity needs to go away, but you forget one major thing - Bunige promotes this toxicity, they thrive on it. TW - self harm I am not good at PVP, and so what if someone wants to Teabag me, but when I get the messages after the game that I should just kill myself, this is where I think it goes too far. But here is the thing, those that are sending these messages are the ones that are paying for silver, they are the ones buying the skins the emotes, and really paying Bungie. They don't get paid from the people like me that just play the game, don't buy silver, and just look to have fun. The non-toxic and chill players are not the ones that Bungie makes money off of. This means that they will always cater to the “sweats” the “neckbeards” and those that are “toxic”. You get a message telling you that you are trash, and to kill yourself, and you get labeled as the bad guy, because you are not a profit center for Bungie. Yes I know that Bungie has made statements,(and so has PSN and XBOX) that they want gamers and players to be nice to each other, but they take no action to those that are being “toxic”. Again, the causal players mean nothing to a company like Bungie, and they really do not actively care about anyone that does not pay their bills. We are just an incident of their product, and we are better off ignored, or placated just enough.
-
Unfortunately, what you are asking is impossible. The main people that play pvp and who are really good at it are rather young folk. They will always trash talk due to the fact they have fluctuating hormones (Not trying to be rude here, just a thing that happens/happened to all of us in the teens). Some outgrow this behaviour, others keep it and relish in it. I would say that they are not really taught well by their parents but that would make me insult their parents as well and they might as well be lovely folk. Some people just don't have manners. Being anonymous helps. It takes the better man/woman to NOT be a douche. Just one thing, toxicity is more highlighted than normal people because those people stick with you for the majority of the time. Oh, and toxicity is not exclusive to PvP, trust me... seen plenty of elitists in LFG raids that are just douches to begin with.

Nothing like that random Timmy hate mail "you're trash" 😂🤣 Kids

F that. Just kidding. I just laugh at the tea baggers and then hunt them down, bagging them all the way until the end. When I get DMs from people, I explain that only losers take the time to DM a person, about a meaningless game.
-
1 RispondiI have actually managed to go flawless more than once and I keep getting messages of people accusing me of not having earned it with insults after I win a game against them for some reason. The only message I ever send anyone is GG.

Modificato da boi: 5/20/2021 2:24:37 PMToxicity is in any game to be honest but it just appears more variable in destiny for many reasons.. it’s all about good manners
-
Good luck. It's the internet. Nice sentiment though. Unfortunately bungie overwhelmingly ignores or addresses criticism and that frustrating to a lot of players and thoughtful honest criticism is generally met with mindless snark with no real insights. So...here we are. The game becoming more mediocre and less fun...content replaced with time gates and rotation quest grinds...and just overall fatigue by the base. Anyway. It is what it is. See you in the tower we have a city to protect...
-
1 RispondiThis is a nice sentiment but we live with the unfortunate reality that when people can hide behind a screen, many will use that as an opportunity to spew all the hatred that their inhibition makes them hold back through their everyday life. I don't think online toxicity is going anywhere to be honest. That being said, as far as t-bagging, people on the other end can be mature enough not to let someone crouching around their body affect them. I mean, it literally doesn't matter at all in any way unless you let it upset you.

5 RisposteInteresting factoid “Professor”, what is considered ‘toxic’ to one breed may not in fact be harmful or hurtful in the slightest to yet another breed. Aside from the biological chemistry related context, there is one additional explanation,... ...tolerance. Need I say more?
-
3 RisposteWithout complaining and yelling from the playerbase your purple engrams would still decrypt in to blue engrams. Progress needs toxicity

Modificato da WHISKEYJ0HNNY0: 5/20/2021 3:33:32 AMIt’s nothing compared to Halo 2 XBox toxicity. We didn’t call it “toxic” back then. We called it the internet.

2 RisposteI agree but for the community’s toxicity has a source ... Over the past few seasons the toxic behaviour is the worst I’ve seen in PvP because SBMM was removed making the sweats and elitists think they can freely pubstomp the weaker opponents for fun..
