Weekly reminder - Revert Sunset and watch players come back
Just your weekly reminder. Sunset is a terrible idea when you take away more than you replace. I highly recommend it ends, otherwise your player base will just continue to crumble. Leadership team at Bungie needs to be fired.
Also, this season's armor is probably the worst I have ever seen. Absolutely gross.

It's honestly true. I know I'd start playing a lot more again. Im not spending any more time curating min maxed stat builds and grinding materials if it's just going to get sunset. Even if it takes a year it still is demoralizing. Im definitely not spending any time grinding out weapons that are literally right there in my vault with god rolls but with a lower power cap so they are useless, forcing me to grind the identical updated versions if I want them. Not worth it for me. I thought I'd always be a slave for destiny no matter the state of the game. I thought even if it wasn't great and had flaws it would always be good enough. But it's not even good enough anymore. I still get on if I actually want to play PvP or whatever, but Im not clearing out my postmaster, Im not dismantling my blues, im not checking rolls on armour anymore, Im not grinding nightfalls for loot or doing raids. Its all pointless now.

3 Rispostehonestly this game is just dead and beyond saving at this point. even if they undo sunsetting, which they WONT, they will just reissue the same gear all over without adding anything new. So its all jus dead, the game, the systems, the guns. an absolute waste of time and absolutely no reward for any investment

2 RisposteI can let weapons go. Idm using whatever comes next unlike most of you people. BUT. I can't say the same about armor. Do you know how difficult it is to maintain your build if certain pieces get sunset?? And what are the odds of getting that particular piece with the same stats again??? That's really the only thing I find annoying about sunsetting.

To get (well me back beta vet player) me back will be 1). Dedicated servers 2). A freshly new pvp matchmaking algorithm 3). The option to reset pvp stats 4). Map veto system 5). More pvp game modes 6). Removal of stasis in pvp

1 RispondiReal question. What would a new player expirience be if they just start playing at this point in the game? Without sunsetting. Then wanted to say play crucible or gambit or any other activity with all the old guns and rng at play

Gotta love that most of the pro-sunsetting players are bots that never owned the good guns and so are just happy no one can use them now

Reverse weapon slots to year 1 and see how many cheats leave the game. 🤷. No good osk guns, no reasons for cheats to play

2 RisposteThey have backed themselves into a corner ,and are in a lose lose situation. Keep sunsetting and have people mad at you,or revert sunsetting and have people that deleted there sunset weapons mad at you I kept my sunset gear,so I wouldn’t be mad if they did revert it

22 RisposteSunsetting is to keep us from abusing a weapon for year after year and so they dont have to craft end game content around guns hitting 3+ years in the games life cycle. Could they have sunset less stuff to ease it in? Yes especially the forsaken Shadowkeep weapons those shouldn’t have been sunset until those expansion went free.

1 RispondiAt the very least, sunsetting shouldnt be so damn quick. Its almost not enough time to obtain some god rolls before its irrelevant, only to be brought back (slightly different) a year later. Thats demoralizing, almost blatant.

I don't want to spend money to keep buying an entirely new deck when I'd rather adjust my build slightly each set. Similarly it is unreasonable to begin Sunsetting at this point in the games lifespan. We Veteran Players had a few Forever Loadouts that never changed till they implemented this. Unlike MTG their is no Legacy Format for D2 Vets. Our time spent playing seems to mean nothing to the Devs. Their is no incentive to play or make purchases of their content when the game ceases to feel rewarding and instead becomes one long never ending regrind to have a viable loadout.

Yeah a lot of my friends stopped after they seen how all their armor they grinded hours for is now going to be or is obsolete. I want to choose to get new armor and guns being forced to is a money scam.

Sun setting sucks. Stasis sucks. And yeah, the seasonal armor continues to get nastier. 3 in a row now. The last 3 seasonal armor sets have been strangely ugly. Why not make good looking gear? Oh wait... do you think Bungie thinks the last 3 seasons have had good looking armor??? ... 😳 No way Bungie makes ugly armor on purpose.

Reverse sunsetting won't make many players come back. There are those that are sick of Bungie underachieving and constantly disappointing with a lack of quality good content. Sunsetting is not the back breaker people are making it out to be. Its the trash content quality.
