People really complained over this? Probably some ego streamer couldn’t go on a kill spree cause some other player outsmarted them so they cry about game mechanics. I’m willing to bet this issue all started with a streamer and all his/her little followers followed.

It's literally the closest thing to an anti-cheat device the game has, to be fair

Modificato da Peter, Kell of Cottontail: 2/4/2021 6:50:29 PMThe biggest crutch advise I remember seeing, pre hackers etc, was to put an enhanced radar mod on a sword and three peak. By a very popular high iq streamer. Since then, it became popular. And yes, the “influencers” do get mad because they want players to push them. As if they are so entitled to the point that the other team must push into bad scenarios because of “reasons”. Sniping is the biggest culprit. Especially when the sniper aim assist was through the roof. Before the sniper meta, it was due to the huge ttk and long tth state of PvP. EVERY single streamer I have watched 3 peaked in one way or the other in d2. Hunter dodge, warlock rift, and titan walls are activated to sneak a peak more than serve their real purpose. I get the frustrations.. but the frustrations will ALWAYS be there if a team is losing. The worse the said defeat is, the more “unskilled” “crutch using” reasons there are as to why. I have watched a very well known streamer cry about someone needs to learn to use a primary after dying to the exact same hand cannon said streamer was using. 🤷🏻♀️ I do not play PvP anymore due to the mentalities of the player base and not because of these things that people are complaining about. People want to stat farm more than just have fun... Because they are trying to make money and a name for themselves via streaming. Nothing more idiotic than listening to player complain about losing a game of control because while they were trying to farm the lobby, the rest of the team did not capture the flags. < far worse than someone pulling at a sword by a long mile.
-
I care. It makes trials last until the flag shows up.
-
If I wanted to play a third person shooter then I’d play a third person shooter.
-
6 RisposteIf someone uses a sword to do it it's fine for me since that's opportunity cost lost for a better heavy pop. But emotes should just be disabled for PvP since almost no-one uses them for anything but exploiting and has no opportunity cost attached.
-
1 RispondiSeems like the only counter people have to cheaters ag the moment
-
2 RisposteAs long as people are hardscoping lanes with snipers or crutching Arbalest i will emote-peek all day
-
1 RispondiIt's not something that's a problem for me because I don't play pvp, but I can see how it's an issue for pvp endgame like trials. What's REALLY annoying is that these isolated problems for an isolated activity are going to affect pve functionality. I hope people enjoy having emote cooldowns everywhere like in the tower, or no longer being able to go 3rd in pve with an empty sword. When people say pvp people ruin the fun for everyone, this is what they talk about. 3rd person & emotes bothered absolutely nobody in endgame activities until trials, and now everyone is going to pay for it. 3p & emote peeking have been fine in raids, nightfalls, and other pinnacle endgame activities since forever, but somehow busted ass trials is on a higher pedastal.
-
Streamers and PvP sweats, who else would care about something so stupid.
-
1 RispondiI saw it brought up on occasion for a long time. Not very often though. After Gladd threw an absolutely ridiculous, laying on the floor, beating his hands and feet tantrum about it is when it really blew up on the forums.
-
I just three peek back it’s not a big deal lol people take a video game to serious
-
Most probably but a few people mentioned it’s been around for a while now, now a days the best way to get them and the wall crouchers is the stasis grenade that yanks them out in the open...a while ago some emotes did the same thing.
-
1 RispondiLol hasn’t stepped foot in competitive PvP and is mad at PvP Youtubers/Streamers. Irony is funny

5 RisposteModificato da michael: 2/2/2021 5:31:42 AMIt is only an issue at a high level in trials, a mode which you have played like 20 games of and lost almost all of them. It doesn't affect you so why would you see it as an issue. This is like someone in the US saying who cares about fires in australia. Like no shit dude. When an issue doesn't affect you you can either use 1% of your brain power to recognize the issue and support it, regardless of if it affects you or not, or you can just look incredibly ignorant.
-
Uh yeah, its kinda busted and drastically dlows down the pace of the game.
-
You think with how poorly trials is doing they would fix that first, then 3 peek. Yo Bungie, you got it backwards! People stopped playing trials cause trials sucks, not because people 3 peek.
-
Go play a Trials match and experience playing about a 15 minute match and nothing happens every round until Overtime. That sounds fun yeah? Lmao, and now it’s even worse because if you try to push 90% of the time you just get frozen as the game now rewards being passive. We’re back to D1Y1 on Ice
-
I dont play trials, but I care, the comunity has been vocal about this for 3 years. Though you may not see it as an issue for yourself, there are those who do and they deserve our support.
-
2 RisposteIt's so funny that most of the top streamers were doing this in D1, and now everyone is doing it they cry about it.
-
1 game mode. That's who cares. They are making huge sweeping changes to basic mechanics for 1 freaking game mode lol.
-
The same people complaining about it use it.
-
Yeah I guess you are right, probably the "top elite pvp pros" complained about it, casual kinda dont care about it.
-
It’s an issue in high end 3v3 PvP where it becomes just a super cool down stand off. I’m not one of these that’s dead against 3 peaking and think there are bigger issues but I can see how it can be detrimental to the pace of a game.
-
This has been a problem among the higher end of players for a long time. 3-peaking is brainless, and is practically always the correct course of action. It slows games down dramatically.
-
it is a great counter against hardscope sniper campers. thats why they are complaining.
-
2 RisposteI don’t think they can do anything about 3 peaking ,they would totally have to change the way sword and emotes work without screwing something else up And I support any strategy that discourages sit back and snipe strategy’s ,if you get rushed and flanked while hardscoping ,then you very much deserve it
