"What is the Darkness?"
"The Nine are saying nothing, so I guess Light and Dark are the same, but we won't even bother explaining why lmao."
The ending of Prophecy was the only thing I cared about this season, and it turned out to be cop-out non-answer that doesn't mean anything.

10 Risposte"The storytelling is bad because they don't bring plain answers to all my questions"
-
Of course. You need actual words being said or read to you to understand their answer. The devil is in the details. Look around you. Everything that happens in that dungeon happens for a reason. It’s all a part of the prophecy

14 RisposteLight and Darkness are two sides of the same coin To stay blindly loyal to one is stupid, and is more damaging then anything. You had to use both light and dark to beat the dungeon, just like you need to use both to beat the darkness And if you actually took the time to really look at the nuance of everything, you'd realize the dungeon has way more to say then just "what is the darkness"

One thing that kind of stuck out to me is what the Drifter said. I’m pretty sure there’s other voice lines, so not everyone would get the same, but the one I heard was (paraphrased) about how the Light and Dark, while they aren’t the same, they can both be used the same. Which means, our Guardian using s t a s i s is entirely our choice. While we can walk a line and is a totally legitimate option, we are actually choosing whether or not we want to accept the Dark, and use it.

<I figured the Nine wouldn't have the answer I desired. We asked the wrong question. We shouldn't have asked what the nature of the Darkness was, we already know the answer. We should've asked what the Pyramids were and what's inside. Even then I wouldn't expect the Nine to know.>

Expecting a simple answer from beings that exist outside of our universe and are linked to our planets through Dark Matter on the subject of what exactly one of the two fundamental paracausal forces in the Destiny universe is just plain bloody stupid mate. The point of the dungeon is that the Nine are alluded to events to come as well as demonstrating that the light and dark are interchangeable, two sides of the same coin, means to an end. Honestly.

They did give a Specific Answer.
-
I think it will mirror the format of our visits to Mara Sov. The last week(s) we will likely get more info about specifics

2 RisposteThe art team did a fantastic job.
-
2 RisposteIf you care about lore or narrative in this game genuinely what are you doing this game has always been extremely bad in those departments
-
The Emissary explains a lot about the dark and the light in the wastelands after the cube room.
-
10 RisposteThey actually answered it at the BEGINNING of the dungeon: a warlock and a Dredgen ask a question. What is the darkness? *teleportation noises* you asked what the darkness is. Welcome to the answer.

1 RispondiIt's not a useless answer.
