Controls aren’t feeling right
Immediately upon loading into the game the controls aren’t feeling right. I’m sure it has to do with the new controller settings or something but when I run often I just stop sprinting constantly. I’ll press buttons and sometimes nothing happens. And worst of all on my pro controller I can’t even fire my gun anymore when I turn up the trigger setting at all. Before I could have it at half trigger pull and it would be fine I could shoot handcannons and stuff now I can’t even shoot without having it on default trigger pull distance. Just removed one of the main reasons I bought this controller. Please fix these issues. It’s extremely weird now. Movement isn’t as snappy and responsive and things are just extremely off. How did this make it through play testing?? 20 mins into the season and already problems.

the other season I was 42 days without playing because of the watercress error, now I start the new one and I can't play because of this horrible gameplay, my character does not walk and for all time.

1 RispondiYou can't change a core mechanic such as sprint without providing players the option to select from new and legacy controls, especially for the console/controller players. I shouldn't have to buy a new pro/elite controller to fix the action/button mapping within a game that's had the same controls since launch, and from what I hear, pro controllers don't seem to be solving the issues either since Bungie changed the way "press/double press/hold" registers. The new sprint needs an option to "lock to" on press (not toggle) and not stop sprinting if the controller stick is pressed again. We don't want to press left stick to begin walking, that's not how we've traditionally been canceling sprinting - we cancel sprinting by stopping movement altogether (stop pushing the stick forward and let it re-center) or performing actions to lower our movement (slide, or gently pull back on the left stick to break sprint, etc).

Same here on Xbox using original controller. Sprinting doesnt work as it used to. Cancels easily. Abit annoying.

I have the Xbox Elite 2 Controller the trigger action is so frustrating now. I have to resort to using the default trigger settings if I want to shoot right or be able to immediately use my super after popping it. (Warlock Stormcaller) Whatever change that was implemented, please change it back. I don't think anyone asked for any of these "improvements". The story is good so far but it is hard to enjoy content when I am constantly running and stopping and not being able to shoot or use my super correctly. Thanks.

Please have an option to be able to use the old default sprit controls. I have gotten so used to them that this change with sprint is making crucible unplayable.

Sprint is broken on my xbox one x. I have tried multiple controllers so its not that. This issue started immediately after starting new season.

Same. Sprinting is definitely off. Keeps resetting as I’m sprinting.

I played one crucible match and surprised I wasn't accused of being an actual bot, I couldn't evade anything and my hand hurt from trying to sprint quickly for a bit and stop. When you say it is a toggle, does that mean you press down once to start sprinting and again to stop? That's so very counterintuitive and i too much overhead on my brain. Please fix this ASAP. I can't play until it's fixed.

If you use a controller on pc then try to open the text chat box with your keyboard it won't work you have to unplug the controller too type then plug it back in which is really annoying was never like that before this update

I usually leave the "hair trigger locks" on so that it's easier for me to ADS and shoot. I can no longer shoot by pressing the right trigger with the hair trigger on while using many weapons including heavy weapons. Please help, this is a TREMENDOUS issue for my playstyle.

At the start of the new season, my PS4 Dualshock controller is acting funny. I cannot sprint at all. Normally I hold the left stick forward to sprint, but this no longer work. I can't run from point A to point B in the game. I strongly suspect this has to do with the new season. I can't play Gambit. Please fix this, Bungie.

Earlier, your RUN had only the ON function, now it also has the OFF function. So when I push RUN and release the stick a bit, gently pressing RUN — it turns OFF. With triggers it’s not clear ... probably some dead zones are affected and they don’t shoot at guns. [b]PLEASE solve the problem in the next patch! I almost broke the gamepad trying to go through some sort of strike... and I turned off the game ((([/b]

7 RisposteI am facsinated. So, I am not by any means bashing how you play, but I am just super confused? How many times do you normally press sprint? I am just having a hard time realizing how many people here are saying they press the sprint button constantly. I guess I am just confused because once you're sprinting, you don't stop until you simply pull back the joystick to a walk...? I guess that's really the only reason why I am confused. Why press sprint again when you are already sprinting? To be clear, I noticed absolutely no change in how I play or to sprint. How it is now is how I have always played. Were people really spamming the sprint button, and did that actually do anything different to movement speed or something? I am geniunely curious. Like, I am extremely curious because what I am reading from all the players doesn't really make sense to me. Just confused is all.

4 Rispostemy controller is acting up aswell, i narrowed it down to it somwhow being set to dubble press to fire but it say press when i go to settings. can you confirme this on your end and see if dubble pressing your controller works ?

3 RisposteThe issue I’ve noticed is that if you press sprint while already sprinting, it cancels. I don’t remember that being the case. It’s really annoying. If I want to spam the sprint button to sprint it should keep going. Not cancel my sprint. Please fix.
