Recently and regretfully, I deleted my characters in D2 out of frustration with the game. I intended to never play it again but right after I did that, Trials was announced and that is the mode I've been waiting for since it was taken away.
I had God Rolls of pretty much every weapon and God roll armor along with armor 1.0 that I mainly rocked and loved with the build I had. Realistically, I'm never getting 90% of the stuff back.
I am debating on whether or not I restart my characters on D2 and start completely fresh all over again or go back to playing D1 until D3. I miss the game and I see that it seems to be in a horrific state to no surprise but I want to play it.
Does anyone know if the September DLC will essentially cause a fresh start like The Taken King had done in D1? If so, deleting my god roll stuff may not hurt as much given that it will be unusable soon anyway.
Should I go back to D1 or start fresh in D2?

You need to get on ASAP so you can grind some bounties and you do not want to miss out on watching the Grandmaster nightfall. Unfortunately due to covid 19 it will be delayed in cinemas but you will be able to watch in the comfort of your own Bathroom, while having a dump, on your phone or tablet.

2 RisposteHow do you get so frustrated with a game that you impulsively delete your characters for it?
-
8 RisposteFor you, I'd advise staying away from this franchise or any live service game for as long as you live.
-
1 RispondiCome back to D2. The new iron banner weapons and armor that came out this week are amazing. The bunkers are sooooooooooooo much fun and every time I load in there are tons of people playing. Trials has been an amazing experience and the new adept weapons are amazeballs. Plus factions are coming back next week with all new weapons and armor. Bungie also announced they are refreshing all the vendors with new weapons and armor as well.
-
Don't bother with D2 unless Bungie performs some kind of miracle with Y4... which is doubtful.
-
We haven't even had confirmation of a September DLC, not even rumours.
-
Current state of the game is not very inspiring. Are you on PC? I would not advice comeback at this point on PC, it is full of issues. But on console maybe.. personally I would not have the energy to get back that stuff you lost. And you can’t get armour 1.0 anymore. On the other hand.. what if you took it as a challenge and play with whatever rolls you get and forget god rolls?
-
Don't. Wait for the allegedly "next big dlc" then yup jump in if you feel like to, for now don't Destiny.
-
Trials is a total mess and not worth playing. Bungie has repeatedly shown lack of competence and commitment to the community and the game. I have very little to no doubt that the next over priced DLC will be a huge let down and cause the community more frustration and make even more players leave for feeling ostracized.
-
Definitely just wait, right now it's in awful confition
-
Time to pick up and play something else then.
-
3 RisposteWhy ask a question only you can answer? We don’t know if it is worth your time picking the game back up and starting fresh. I personally would say F-ck no this game is shipwreck.
-
dont bother trials is a steaming pile of hackers and recovs its not sweaty or challenging its broken
-
If you got mad enough to delete your characters and gear once, I have no doubt you'll do it again. I'm not happy with how the game is going but I simply dont play when it sucks... deleting your stuff accomplishes nothing. Anyway, I'd wait, if you didnt like it before, you wont like it now.
-
Its pretty easy to get god rolled armor just do a raid or 2, as for weapons your screwed but god rolls don't matter as much as people think they do
-
A September DLC isn’t going to wipe our characters.
-
D3 isn’t happening anytime soon, they are working on another game but it isnt D3 its for the people who gave them money. They more then likely arent gonna make a September DLC shadow keep was just a minor content drop mixed with a season (shadowkeep added a few missions and a raid/dungeon) but as well Season of the Undying was out at the same time which added more stuff.
-
Play D1 and wait for D3. Even though ot is unlikely that Bungie will make whatevers next
the collapse dlc that is rumored
an entirely new game, but there is no point of playing D2 rn imo.
-
Just wait until next season im stuck with the season pass some seasons are just hit or miss like last year with the gambit season i had skipped it.

1 RispondiGiven the state of the game, constant changes to balance and direction, and how the weapon selection is slowly being homogenized down to a base level of “sameness”, if you chose to come back later this year you might have a better time and less disappointment. That is if Destiny is still trudging along later in the year.
-
1 RispondiI'd wait until you have info about actually what is coming in the next few months. Plenty of other great games out the moment and the current state of destiny isn't great.
-
3 RisposteSerious advice? Lol ok.
-
1 RispondiI would let it slide and enjoy some of the other games that are out there right now .
-
Some of you assholes are complete cancer. You wonder why the game seems to die but since the start of D1, you guys come on here and whine, -blam!- and complain about everything. If your life is that miserable that you have to be constant dicks, maybe stop coming on to forums of a game you now "hate" and get an actual life.

1 RispondiModificato da SonGoku-san1: 4/14/2020 2:21:20 PMThere's no word for September DLC, officially, from the mouth of Bungie. However, there are several YouTubers that claimed about DLC Leak. For example, . The title is called "Destiny 2: Collapse." Again, this is NOT 100% official (I would just wait until Bungie announce it in due time). Meaningwhile, to start all over again with a new character in D2 is not really that bad. I've done that a few times with my characters (especially Titan). It feels good to start fresh and collect a lot of weapons, complete events, etc. Hope that helps.
