What's the difference between maintaining 5000+ Glory every week and getting 7 wins in a row multiple times a weekend? Honestly. Tell me.
Once you earned the Trials gear in D1 and Y1 D2, there was no real point to bothering anymore. Same can be said about Pinnacles and titles in D2.
The -blam!- else could people possibly want? The whole point of PvP is taking part in an online dick measuring contest by showing off fancy stats and win percentages. Not to mention if you're really serious about it, you spend hours editing montages on YouTube hoping someone will watch it and put you on an E-Sports team. Then you can spend miserable years of your life playing one game day in and day out. There's your endgame.

😂😂 you got really specific, I love it
-
"PvP Endgame" is a -blam!-ing joke. Its -blam!-ing competition where the endgame is to prove you're better than everyone else 😂 That's what you do in PvP! People like OP kill me and my hopes for the future of Destiny.

How about shooting players is way more fun then shooting Ai? You do realize games are for fun right? But go ahead and shoot that thrall for the 10,000th time and enjoy your engaging game play.
-
And Destiny is a game that includes both. I'm sick of this game pandering to PvP one year and PvE the next. If you can't enjoy both, then play another game more tailored to your tastes. Might I suggest Overwatch, CoD, Battlefield, CS:GO, Fortnite, PUBG, or Apex Legends? They're PvP centered games that don't contain an ounce of PvE balance to contend with.
-
When did they pander to PvP? They never added more to crucible than they have to PvE
-
Did you miss the entirety of Y1 D2 for the quickest example? Static rolls, few weapon perks, no armor perks, the two primary system, slower cooldowns, weak weapon and ability damage...... Damn near killed the game.
-
That wasn't catering to PvP. Catering to PvP would be adding many new maps, weapons obtainable only from crucible, multiple new gamemode and activities.
-
I mean, they literally designed every aspect of Y1 PvE to incorporate the balance design for PvP but sure, that's not pandering. A plethora of content isn't the only way a developer can pander to an audience. Nor does tons of content correlate directly to superior game design.

Modificato da WormChi: 12/3/2019 8:54:38 PMI clearly play both as is evident in my account where as you don’t have a single character to the soft cap. It hasn’t been one year and the next PvP has been neglected since D2 released. Over two years now. Meanwhile pve has had multiple patrol zones, raids, “horde modes” etc. Damn straight pvp needs some love. So stop hating.
-
Not sure who you're looking at, but 900 is the soft cap, my dude and all 3 of my toons are past 900. My Hunter is clocking in at 963 on his own thanks to the fancy Artifact. The other two are pushing 950. Now, you may mean hard cap which is 960 and you'd be correct. No real point in taking part in PvE endgame if the gear I get from it is vastly overshadowed by gear already available. Why waste time when I have access to all the OP loadouts already? Frees me up to play my backlog. Am I really gonna use Throwing Knife over my Recluse or Mountaintop? Or waste time raiding 30+ times for an RNG chance for weak Raid Exotics compared to other more readily available Exotics? I play Destiny for the lore. However, I do rise to the occasion in both modes when there's an exceptionally powerful weapon calling my name.
-
Soft cap is 950

Tell that to the official Bungie patch notes from October 1st Soft Cap: 900 Powerful Cap: 950 (which my Hunter has hit and my other two are close) Pinnacle Cap: 960 Arguing semantics gets you nowhere. Bungie sets their definitions, not you. Like I said, I have no interest in Pinnacle activities because the gear is overshadowed by gear from other venues. Trying to shame me for not wasting my time grinding for subpar weaponry isn't a smart path to take to help your argument.

Modificato da WormChi: 12/3/2019 10:57:43 PMSure but they are wrong. I was able to level up my hunter w/out playing a single activity just by pulling whites out of collection. Wether it is officially or not indicates lack of play time and thus your opinions lack validity.

Congrats? In the professional world of System Design, we call that a Design Oversight. I used that method as well back in Y2 to circumvent the drain on my Enhancement Cores for Infusion. Its hardly anything new. Never really understood how it's gone this long without being remedied. As it is an unofficial leveling tactic, one could call it a glitch in the system or an exploit. That hardly invalidates anything. It just means that Bungie either doesn't pay attention to detail or is lazy about correcting design errors. You're not some clever genius for championing human error as some sort of proof to contradict me. By your logic, every wall exploit or map glitch every tryhard and their mother complains about in PvP is a valid and intended strategy by Bungie and shouldn't be patched.

Wow you just don’t know when you’re wrong do you?
muted
I was so wrong that rather than take me to school, he muted me 😂 Kids these days.......
