I know Cozmo and dmg04 read this...
Back in D1, Bungie said Eververse was there to support extra content. With the micro transactions you guys could fund extra activities and events. Most players didn't really bother, because all other vendors also got attention: Seasonal refresh of all vendors and in Rise of Iron even a WEEKLY REFRESH of all vendors + bounties to earn certain guns.
In D2 however, planetary vendors have never seen an update since the start of the game. Gunsmith, Crucible, Vanguard and Gambit haven't seen an update in a year..... Not to mention the complete absence of DO, NM and FWC for over a year now. Yet Eververse gets new content every single season...
Simple question: Why?

7 RisposteSince Bungie lost the financial backing that came with activision as their publisher. Bungie has been rightfully nervous about income. Eververse is the only vendor that makes them money, so they obviously put the most effort into that. However since they have barely updated any vendors since launch making players rightfully angry.
-
Chill out. If the F2P version don't bring enough new players who buy forsaken/shadowkeep after they play the free content and Shadowkeep sales not reaching the sales number that Bungie would satisfied because D2 current player base had enough from re-skin and recycled content. Eververse only can't save the game financial costs. And than they have two options 1st bring out Destiny 3 or 2nd say good bye to the Desiny universe.

It seems like Bungie is stretched to capacity when it comes to designing new weapons and perks. -we still get about the same amount of gear each year as always its just spread out over seasons instead of all in the fall. Each season comes on average with 2 armor sets, and 2 weapon sets. (6 for 3 seasons) That's roughly the same amount as a yearly refresh of Vanguard, Crucible, FWC, DO, NM in D1. Unfortunately the only reason D2Y1 had so many more loot refreshes was because it was all fixed rolls. Now that gear is randomized, it takes more work on their part to create unique feeling weapons. Bungie has built D2 much wider than D1, but that has come at a cost of small loot pools scattered everywhere instead of deeper loot pools condensed into a few spots.

80 RisposteThis is why https://www.denofgeek.com/us/games/destiny/270029/destiny-2-was-reportedly-rebooted-before-release-to-incorporate-more-microtransactions
"What Bungie decided was: 'we can’t do this anymore. This is just too much, this is too hard for us to do - the tools that we work with are really hard to deal with. It’s hard for us to make this much content. It’s just hard making content in general," said Schreier. "They said 'we are going to do a drip feed of smaller stuff, and we're going to put up the Eververse, sell microtransactions, and make money that way.'
83 RisposteSince D2 is going F2P this is the only way how they are going to make money like other F2P games. That’s probably the assumption.
-
Because that’s the only vendor that makes them money. Updating all the other vendors with new stuff is possible, but it would take up money that bungie could instead save and put into their wallets instead of using it to develop more loot.
-
10 RisposteBecause they want us earning loot playingbthe game instead of buying it in the Tower. This game’s loot pool isn’t deep enough to allow a Bungie to give 16 vendors something to sell. There just aren’t enough perk combinations.
-
The most useless vendor has got to be holiday, i go to tess for ships and sparrows. Im supirsed holiday is still around
-
This is a really silly question. Money, that's it. Zavala, Ikora, Holiday, etc.... Don't sell stuff for real money. So.. -blam!- em'. That's the design philosophy.

1 RispondiJensBoef You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

A year? Bruh...Vanguard armour hasn't changed since Osiris. Just been re-skinned. Actually that's most faction armor right now. I agree though, the vendors need refreshes weekly or bi-weekly. It's infuriating seeing the same armour over and over just with new colours or a new sticker thrown on it. Give us something to actually want to use tokens on other than just infusion when a new soft cap comes out.

2 RisposteThis isn't even called destiny what are you talking about?? It's called Eververse: Shadowkeep
-
Because Legendary shards and Baryon Boughs don't pay to keep the lights on...
-
2 RisposteShort answer? Money. Long answer? Making content is hard.
-
2 RisposteBecause Destiny is becoming free to play. Games that go with that model require a heavy presence of microtransactions to function.
-
I bet the primary reason they needed more time to finish up Shadowkeep was to move EV to the director.

Modificato da Shower: 9/29/2019 5:47:46 PMBungie. Why is Eververse the only vendor you pay attention to? Bungie. Eververse... vendor... you pay? Bungie... pay? You pay.
Satire. I really don’t feel the need to bug silver, but I couldn’t care less if others want to.
They Destiny isn’t a successful franchise so rather then making ACTUAL Content and a Game and Expansions that sells tons of money, they take what little they have and put it behind Eververse to make more money. I sure miss the days Developers lived off the the income that they got from the Games and Expansions alone without the crutch of MTX.
