https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.gamereactor.eu/amp/destiny-2s-mark-noseworthy-clears-up-question-of-pc-recoil/
"There's no recoil on guns on PC because recoil on the controller feels really good. 'I'm firing, I'm firing, I'm firing, oh, I'm losing control of my gun a little bit.' That feels great, especially with magnetism and all the magic in the controller that makes you feel it. With a mouse and keyboard, you don't want the mouse moving without you moving it, so recoil doesn't feel good, so there is no recoil on PC," he explained.
I don't think its brilliant to have an artificially gimped control system with fake recoil to make it harder.
They also seemed to forget that some people play with controller on pc. So they have to deal with an inferior control method, along with additional recoil added for bogus reasons, which was far less significant on D1, and nobody thought that was broken.

19 RisposteRecoil is good on console. It keeps weapons feeling dynamic and does a good job at adding a skill gap. I don't see what you think is bad about it.
-
9 RisposteFeels good? What? Is this dude mentally handicapped? Jesus Christ this guy is an idiot.
-
6 RisposteThey should of just stuck with d1. The guns feel way better and smooth.
-
Recoil makes a gun feel unique. Without it they all feel the same.
-
Wow, that comment by Noseworthy makes zero sense. This is so stupid. Yay, all console players get punished for playing on console!
-
And we wonder why 26 if 27 worlds first were all on PC... hmmm
-
42 RisposteBecause it contributes to the IMMERSIVENESS of the experience Real guns have recoil...and you struggle to control them when you trigger spam or fire in full auto. One of the reasons why I HATE the game of Monster Hunter World is that there is NO such feedback when you're in combat. No controller rumble. No sense of struggle or realism. Just this unsatisfying sense of moving a cartoon character around the screen. Oh...and as someone who plays on both PC and console....there is LESS recoil and MORE aim-assist playing with a controller on PC than there is on console. So the console player on PC finds that the weapons are MORE accurate and EASIER to control than his console counterparts. Plus you have the movment advantage that a joystick and controller give you over someone playing on keyboard (the whole reason I stopped playing action games with mouse-and-keyboard).
-
Yeah, cus recoil on PC games was never a thing in competitive games... Like, what the heck is this logic? Recoil isn't meant to 'feel' good or bad... it's meant to balance weapons. They're seriously confusing f*cking controller vibration with actual recoil... How daft to you have to be to not see the difference here?
-
9 RisposteIt must just be my lack of skill because when I'm in a shootout I normally lose because while I'm getting hit my gun pulls up and away to the left and yet the other guy is usually dead on target? What am I doing wrong here? The biggest pain in the butt is when I'm aiming at someone and another guardian comes across or near my crosshair (usually closer than the original target) and the damn thing moves slightly like it wants to pull towards them not the original target I'm aiming at? So annoying... Again as stated before I am sure it is more than likely my mediocre skills?
-
4 RisposteI would use Hardlight if my guardian didn't have a seizure whenever i pulled the trigger
-
5 RispostePC is easy mode.
-
It doesn't feel good. It's never felt good. It's probably the thing I hate most about D2. It was part of the failed effort to slow down Destiny when they launched D2. I'm supposed to be a super hero--I've killed literal gods. My gun should be trustworthy and it should never feel like it's working against me.

Modificato da TrooperHR: 9/26/2019 6:55:50 PMIf Mark Noseworthy thinks it's good just flip it around: it's most definitely, undeniably bad. What else can you say about the guy that presided over Destiny 2 dumpster fire.
-
Their argument doesn’t pass muster. When you consider other shooter games on PC like Battlefield or Siege or even the grand daddy of all CSGO, they all have significant recoil on their guns. Why not in Destiny 2? Simply put - it was a very desperate move on the part of Bungie to woe the community on PC while their game was available for the first time on this platform. That is all and nothing else. Pure marketing.
-
Modificato da Nova: 9/25/2019 10:03:26 PMAdded with the trash fov, bloom, 30fps, the sandbox is just shit on console. whats the point of learning how to control the recoil or pacing your shots, (bloom) when some kid can run around spamming a NF? I can play BF1 with higher fov and 60fps and it 10x better.
-
Modificato da golgotha01: 9/26/2019 12:34:47 PMReally, noseworthy said that? He's a got Damn idiot. Borderlands 3 feels better on controller than destiny 2 does on controller.
-
What we need is bloom to go away. Rng in gunfights doesn't make sense. Keep recoil but penalize me for using a weapon outside of its intended range via steep damage falloff. Problem solved. Hopefully the recoil animation change to 140/150 rpm hand cannons can solve the bloom issue. I doubt it though. I doubt the cone of accuracy will narrow down because of that.
-
For Every Destiny Hardlight there is a Slippery when Wet in Borderlands
-
Are you talking about the controller shaking? Is it better to play that way?
-
i dont like recoil on guns it sucks
-
3 RisposteBecause if you knew how game design works, it does. That’s why almost every shooter does it. It gives you challenge that’s constant. If you’ve ever played a game with no recoil, the shooting is quite boring.
-
The recoil on PC and on console must be the same because the guns is the same. The crosshair on the screen does not point where the tip of the guns are aligned to. If that would be the case the recoil on console had to be 3 or 4 times worse than what it is currently, considering some of the HC's firing motion. The crosshair on the screen shows actually where our guardians are aiming. It is acceptable to have shifts in the crosshair, but it is not acceptable if it is different between platforms or control devices. The guardians are the same , the guns are the same.
-
1 RispondiJust as a player speaking, I think it feels good when I learn to control the weapons recoil. I'm kind of glad there is feedback in the gunplay and that it isn't just lasers constantly.
-
5 RisposteModificato da Guardian, Archon Of Light: 9/26/2019 12:34:47 PMObviously he hasn't fired a real gun in his life , I doubt anyone at Bungie has(especially the weapon artist's) And this is the same guy who said nobody cared about lore before D2 launched.
-
That sounds heavily -blam!-.
-
I think recoil is fine, but bloom is the killer
