I'm almost to the point of deleting my main account. I can't take their bullshit anymore. Recently, I've seen the following on all of the different mainstream subreddits:
-a group on r/memes unironically saying that all Boomers need to die, because we "can't get anything done while they are alive." Called it out, downvoted into oblivion.
-2 cases of Reddit's militant atheist mentality, the first of which was a random loser that commented on an anti-vaxx meme that involved Christianity. "Just a reminder that there is no god, they are just -blam!- lol." The second being a guy, again on r/dankchristianmemes, who went on way too long of a rant of why religion is a handicap on society. This one wasn't as bad as other nut-jobs I've seen, but still seemed to be pretty upset at religious people for some reason.
-This one is probably the one that makes me the most upset, was a young girl who wore one of those Hent@i sweatshirts clearly as a joke. Reddit neckbeards, being the reddit neckbeards that they are, decided that this was solid ground for sending her explicit messages and sent her death threats when she said no. She had to send out a PSA on her post, pleading for people to stop harassing her.
The only reason I would justify ever using Reddit anymore is for the more... interesting stuff, if you catch my drift. Everything on Reddit is either a metaphorical cluster fuck or a literal one.

5 RisposteYeah it could be pretty toxic sometimes. But honestly it mostly just sounds like the subreddits you’re going to. Stay away from any religious, political, or meme subreddits. Those are the most toxic by far. Like, r/gaming, r/pokemon, and r/natureismetal are pretty chill. Those are just the ones I got mostly
-
Just the wrong subreddits, and also Chill It’s the internet It’s literally the same everywhere else
-
1 RispondiIs there even a reason to use reddit beyond r/prequelmemes?
-
Chilllll bro
-
Why do you expect better discussion from meme subs? Its like playing Destiny for the story.
-
It's not that serious, my dude...
-
Going to Reddit is like going to Quiznos: your experience will be directly tied to the sub you pick.
-
4 RisposteI would say 4chan is better, but it's way way waaaaayyy more degenerate. I will say it's funnier, though.
-
10 RisposteI actually got banned from r/dankChristianmemes because of my stance against Homosexuality. I could’ve worded it a little better though.
-
At that same point but with Facebook. Site’s a haven for ignorance whether it’s anti-vaxxers, climate change deniers, racists, homophobes, just -blam!-ing anything really. Only reason I still have an account on that shitshow is because of Messenger. That being said though, good thing about reddit is that you can branch out to other subs.

1 Rispondi*goes to AskReddit* "What's the sexiest thing you've ever done?" "When's the last time you had sex?" "Guys of reddit, what kind of sex advice would you give a first timer?" "What old game should be remastered?"

Modificato da Tim Apple: 9/24/2019 8:02:19 PM...what the hell did she expect?
it's the internet, that's pretty much guaranteed to happen
-
Just pick different sub. That the beauty, chances are you can find one where everyone agrees w you and thinks like you do.
-
Don't go on them sub reddits if you don't like what they post. Going on them and reading the content is your own fault.

Reddit is fun. There’s a running joke in r/dankmemes about ‘fortnite bad, Minecraft good’ which is a stale overused line, but that’s what makes it funny. So I say this on a ‘meme’ basically saying that it doesn’t matter what you play as long as you’re having fun, yet explicitly showing fortnite and Minecraft as if it has the intention to start something. Then the person goes to a different subreddit with the whole ‘posted this on r/dankmemes and got trashed on’, which violates one of the rules in that particular subreddit because it invites people to trash on us as well as just being an ass. Several hundred downvotes. I wasn’t bothered, I’ve got a lot anyway. Is just funny how people can get so triggered about a joke which is just a thing in the subreddit. If they don’t like it then don’t post fortnite as if they’re trying to act like an internet warrior fighting for rights.

14 RisposteUse 4chan instead. They understand that Boomerism is the most based ideology, usually defend (a) religion (albeit lambasting the rest), and don't even talk to women.
-
In other words it's full of trolls like literally everywhere else on the internet?
-
Reddit IS the internet. There’s just as much good as there is bad, but as is the case with every other digital media platform, the bad unfortunately gets more press, usually. Explore some more, I’m sure you’ll find a subreddit that is encouraging and entertaining
-
Just curate your page to fewer subs. Also find small subs. Communities. Moderate one. Make your own sub. Invite friends. It doesn’t have to be a mainstream site. Use it, don’t be used by it.
-
Kinda torn about the site. It can 100% be a circle jerking cesspit echo chamber. But there's good stuff on there too. ...I mostly just lurk.
-
I know exactly which meme you're talking about in r/memes. Dumbass obviously needs his karma removed
-
I've only ever read Reddit, don't have an account. It seems pretty damn toxic sometimes, but specific fandom reddits seem a little cooler. Places like r/Metroid and the like. But maybe it just seems that way because I haven't spent much time there.
