  • Can we still masterwork after the event?? As we only had 1 shattered during the event, and it landed week 2, that would suck not to be able to finish my 3rd character.

        So, I got my Warlock leveled up to where I have to run the nightfall, run something with a clan, etc... I will not waste anymore of my time to Finnish this after the overdone grind and having nothing to show for it. I was looking at the D1 Void sparrow and the requirement just to collect something I have in D1. How is that an incentive to level up all 3 characters? You guys want legit feedback you say, well here it is plain and simple. When making an event you offer an incentive, motivating, a sense of value meaning rewards for the time spent running the event that creates an interest, not just 1, I mean plural and that doesn't mean, oh, you mean only 2, No, look at the events like the Haunted forest that offered and new exotic, a new legendary weapon and a catalyst that wasn't a long dragged out grind just for 1 sparrow. You guys need to put the heart back into this game, meaning devs that care about their work and what the player base thinks about their work. Not this pushed out product nonsense just to get it out the door.

        • Really why does my Warlock have to get 200 arc super kills against guardians. My hunter and titan don't. That is going to take a ridiculous amount of time as I'm rubbish at crucible.

          • Okay I have a question maybe this one is stupid maybe not but I feel it hasn’t quite been made clear. With the release of Shadowkeep & New Light. There will be armor 2.0 which is nice but will the armor 2.0 just be a regular update to the game available to all guardians? Cause if it’s only available to those with the annual and people who bought Shadowkeep I feel these mods and new armors will just further alienate a good majority of the players base since those who have the extra content would then have an unfair advantage in most if not all activities readily available. Again yes I know this might be a rather dumb question but it was something I just thought about.

            • We should be getting more solstice packages . The amount of keys to packages we get is insanely off .. I'm got 1500 keys left after I opened all my packages .. the packages should drop outside of the eaz .. or eaz should give a package for every chest to something

              • Next solstice it would be 100x better if we got a exotic weapon. To go with our armor. Or a suit of solstice themed weapons.but with cool affects. Maybe even class spacific weapons. To celebrate not just the solistsce but your class a years worth of growth and power in growing and taking pride in your vangurd and class

              • I'm just wondering why I can't just upgrade an armor piece as soon as it's completed. 3 out of 5 done yet I have to finish the other 2 to turn them in. If they were seperate I could at least start working on others. This would drastically reduce the grind and I could choose for myself what to do first. You know, play how I want to play and what and when. This feels like inflating play time just for the sake of extending the grind. Unless I'm missing something...

                  I like the idea of the celebration and I like to see the tower decorated. I really do. I have to be honest though, it doesn’t feel much like a celebration once I start playing the associated activities. Partially because they aren’t new at all(minus the EAZ), but also because of griefing. So I ask the following questions. And I mean this with sincerity and would appreciate a response. Why are there so many pursuits within the game that don’t mesh with the game model? What I mean by that is that so many things either require something be done within an activity that has a start and finish, but the pursuit doesn’t require completion, so people leave once they’ve gotten what they wanted out of it. And on the flip side, other pursuits require just completions, which causes AFK players. Follow up question. In an attempt to alleviate both players griefing each other as well as just overall tedium, why don’t you guys rely more on your open worlds? The drop in/drop out nature of them would alleviate the majority of the above issues. It would also mean that players would have a less predictable environment in which to spend the majority of their post story time in. As opposed to spending so much time in closed fireteam activities that never change.

                    So I got the blue armor set and it wasn't such a bad grind, but now you want me to get 200 kills with my Stormcallers super? Unlike Hunter and Titan, my Warlock can easily be killed while in his super "trance". So I may need 100+x games to get that goal. That's rather stupid, unfair and will make many people unhappy or already has.

                    • A few days ago, I shared my thoughts on this event and the armor grind. Said it was boring. Said it was unnecessarily tedious. Said it should have been simplified and made to be more fun. Today? .... Nothing's changed. However, for those who saw my original post about it, I feel I should elaborate just a bit. My list wasn't really meant to be an end-all, be-all sorta deal. More just a quick example, making it up as I went along, of a way to remove that grind-y feel. This is constantly an issue with Destiny 2, the fact that the grind actually feels like a tedious, boring and repetitive grind. It's not supposed to actually feel like a grind. The idea is to actually have your progression be a part of a player's normal playtime. That made me think of something else... There are now, with the remaining regulars of Destiny 2, two very distinct groups of players. Players who are all about being the best in Crucible and players who do the PvE stuff. Within the PvE group, there are some diehards when it comes to Nightfalls and Raids, possibly Gambit, too, but it's a smaller group of diehards than the PvP group. The smallest group, it seems, are the ones that actually do actively play any and all activities between Crucible, Strikes, Raids and Gambit. Funny enough, that's who this armor progression is more geared toward; the smallest group of players who will play everything normally. So.... Why not give your players a choice in getting this armor set? Personally, I would have created some new missions for players to embark upon to find the armor, upgrade the armor and have a brand new Strike at the end, as part of one full story to getting this armor, that would be challenging with the ultimate reward of that Majestic Set upon completion. Instead of just a series of "fetch quests" as steps per piece of armor. But since we went with those "fetch quests," why not actually give players a choice in how they get it? Every player has to do one run of the EAZ. They meditate. They speak to Eva who then offers them a path to take. Let's call them, "Path of the Warrior" and "Path of the Defender." Essentially, it would work the same but now players can select how they want to earn their armor by appealing to their play-style. If they take the "Path of the Warrior," they have Crucible objectives and only those objectives as steps to upgrade their gear from Green to Blue to Purple. If they take the "Path of the Defender," they're doing PvE things like Patrols, Strikes, Public Events and a little bit of Gambit. The steps should still be simplified and not feel so damn tedious to complete. Steps along the lines of... [b]Path of the Warrior[/b] -Complete 10 Crucible matches. -Defeat 10 Guardians. -Capture 10 Zones. -Defeat Guardians with your Subclass abilities. (100 Points) (Grenade=1. Melee=2. Super=3.) [b]Path of the Defender[/b] -Complete 10 Public Events anywhere. -Complete 10 Patrols anywhere. -Defeat enemies anywhere with your Subclass abilities. (100 Points) (Grenade=1. Melee=2. Super=3.) -Complete 5 Gambit matches. Within either Path, you can throw-in the collection of Elemental Orbs, which should be a low number that I'd say is no more than 100, as well as the production of the Orbs, which can be higher like 500. Even with "Path of the Defender," you could make use of the EAZ with some mini-bosses to kill or chests to open. But the main appeal of the EAZ, no matter which path you chose, is that is where you get the Solstice Packages which contain the armor glows but you still get the Key Fragments from doing anything and everything. OR you can skip that and just buy them directly from Eververse. Also, within the EAZ, you have a chance to be rewarded at the end, in that first chest you open, with four unique event items: a Ghost shell, a Ship, a Sparrow and an Emblem. One of each and they can only be earned by completing runs in the EAZ. Now you've given your players a choice in how they earn their armor set that doesn't change how they like to play in the first place. PvP-centered players will only have to do EAZ once to start the quest and PvE-centered players won't have to deal with anything PvP they don't enjoy with the minor exception of a little bit of Gambit. And for the players that enjoy playing anything, the path they choose doesn't matter and they can choose a different path per character of theirs. Now everyone can play what and how they want to earn their rewards. So what about Masterworked gear? That's when it should be the "Play Everything" part of the grind. I'm not even sure how it currently is for the Majestic gear but here's a thought... [b]Majestic Masterwork[/b] -Complete a Nightfall with 100,000 Points (I know it's 200,000 currently but that seems unnecessary.) -Reset your Valor Rank -Reset your Infamy Rank -Complete any Raid -Complete the "Shattered Throne" There. If we're gonna do "fetch quests" then why not give us a choice in the things we're fetching?

                      • Can I gently suggest that instead of specific requirements, and endless grinds of doing things we hate doing (Not everyone likes crucible, etc), can I suggest in the future the following: (1) Difficulty Tiers - Reward a base exotic or armor, and then offer an emblem or an ornament for those who have the time - you're locking your player base out of content because they can't play the way you want them to - the Bad Juju Map was perfect - new challenging content and a new exotic at the end (2) If you are going to insist on a grind, let players play what they want to play - remove specific tasks so if you just want to Raid, then raid - if you just want to jump in the crucible then just play crucible - find a better way to earn these rewards than just the way YOU think they should be rewarded - this would clean up all the cheezing and cheating in each of these modes as well because folks will only be in those game modes because they want to be Grindy tasks for exotics and content just burn your players out and lock them out of content they paid for...

                      • Really dissaponted with the glows for the solistace armor. Dissaponted by the fact we have to buy them. With soo much bright dust or silver. And uber dissaponted theres only 1 affect. Walking around with leaves or feathers hanging off of you like a half dead tree. Is noooooo impressive to me. Idk why we could not get 3 very different style of armor affects. Last years armor looked so much more awesome. Affects wise. The glow was better and we could chnage the color of or glow affects with shaders. Why take that out? I mean the affects we got this year was not at a terrible . But I really hated them. And only noticed it after I did the grind to complete the armor. Wich was a bit much to complete on all 3 charicters. Bungie should try and give us more options on season stuff event armor, iron banner armors. Ect multiple armor sets or effects for a event. Would be alot better. OPTIONS

                        • My issue with things like this are the fact that they add them to artificially lengthen game time. Instead of actually adding new content, they add lengthy grinds to unlock old content. Or, when they do add new content, they lock it behind a ridiculous grind. I get why games like World of Warcraft does it, 90% of the game's earnings come from subscriptions. That's why they locked something as basic as flying mounts or certain parts of an expansion's questline behind a reputation grind. But Destiny 2 is a one time purchase, so once you buy the game Bungie doesn't get anymore money. I mean come on, they added an RNG mechanic and a lengthy grind to something as simple as unlocking "new" subclasses. And the new "subclasses", cough, skill trees, cough, were also locked behind a grind. It wouldn't surprise me if, once Shadowkeep comes out and they are fully separated fron Activision, they add a subscription feature to the game. The game's already optimized with the content grinds that are a staple of subscription based games. The players are used to the grind. And, when they no longer have funding from Activision, they are going to need the money to keep the game running.

                        • Cozmo can you answer a question for me ? If I grinded out the legendary solstice armor on a character and started that character over would I still be able to claim the 2.0 version on that character when shadowkeep drops ?

                          Cozmo I hope you can give an answer to this one plz. Y1 armor across the game can be acquired in shadowkeep, meaning they have been updated. If that's the case, why is the one armor set players have asked for the most (trials) could not be updated like the rest. I get that they cant be earned in game but collections are actually useful now, so what's the real deal behind not giving us the armor through collections. I'm pretty sure if and when it returns the armor will be different which is why it kinda matters

                          I'm a little surprised that there isn't an emblem for getting a majestic set (or for getting all 3). The sparrow seems a bit... inconspicuous and unremarkable for an "end of grind payoff". The stealth running perk, which appears to be it's only distinguishing trait, doesn't even seem to be working. ☹

                        • Well, no change here. Not really at least same old story. Nothing advanced after 1 month. People are still not satisfied "can't blame them" but I think it's clear that coming to the forums won't do any good. Just gotta ignore the things you don't like about the game and try to enjoy it. I personally enjoy pvp more with all these toxic people in it. Since pve is kinda dry again I've been playing other single player games too. Mostly unfinished cuz of this game. Best fix of the game in my opinion. Hell, I even dusted off the bf1 game to play it 😂 I hope the best for d2 so I can get people together again and play.
