Edit: fixed the title, , i love being dumb as bricks sometimes, or most of the time.
- Some entire weapon class's are not viable, and take an extraordinary amount of extra skill to succeed in (Examples are Scout Rifles in general, Sub-machine guns that are not Recluse, Side-arms that are not 3-Bursts, Linear sion Rifles, Auto Rifles, ect.)
- Maps that are short ranged have objectives that are also short-ranged, and / or long-ranged optional areas, making slide-shotgunning just the best option for most engagements
- Every class has a super that can kill you twice with one activation, combined with super mods make most game-modes feel like Mayhem
- Some Grenade's are completely outclassed in the crucible by others (You are NOT using a Voidwall grenade on a Sentinel Sub-class, you are NOT using a Tripmine instead of Swarm Grenades or an Incendiary Grenade, and Fusion grenades are almost always outclassed)
- Some Exotics are either too powerful, or other options are just bad (You warlocks ain't going to use Verity's Brow, Eye of another World, and Winter's Guile; Hunters aint using Mechaneer's Tricksleeves, Young Ahamkara's Spine, or Lucky Rasbperry, and Titans aren't going to use Actium War Rig, Mask of the Quiet One, and Eternal Warrior, while NOBODY will use the Aeon Gauntlets)

Pre-order season of the crucible now!

11 RisposteIn my opinion the Crucible needs to be scraped and rebuilt from the ground up, a System in which Skill based match making needs to be implemented, and some Exotics either need to be nerfed, or out right Banned. For the slavering, sub human troglodytes that inhabit the crucible, they wont actually tell you how too get better, only to "git gud" this is their only form of recognizable human communication and is unhelpful, but here is some actually good crucible advice not shown in this thread: Throwing knives too the head with "way of the outlaw" can kill people. To avoid a titan who is shoulder charging you. jump. the tracking cant make them go straight up. same applies too shotguns. Hunters are the best at this with their triple jump. if the Titan is in the air, slide under them. Grenades that don't detonate on impact or do area denial are basically worthless. Sticky grenades are surprisingly effective at scoring multi-kills. want too make some one feel like an Idiot? slap your spike grenade on the ceiling, No body looks up in this game. Tethers can be broken by shooting the orb generating them. Titan shields hurt you, don't walk through them. People using their super aren't invincible, keep shooting, dodging, and staying just out of their reach while firing at them, running will just make you die tired. Soften them up for your team mates. If you get shot at first. Ducking usually just drops you into a head shot, jumping is more effective and unpredictable. Your invincible for a few seconds while teleporting as a warlock. That glint is always a Sniper scope. Assault rifles aren't actually worthless if the enemy has no shields or the rifle has incredibly High Range (Half Dandy), most of the exotic Assault rifles can actually chew through players in the crucible (sweet Business, SUROS REGIME, and Hard Light are probably your best bets. Swords are great survival tools due too blocking. BLACK TALON In particular is fantastic due too the fact that its secondary heavy attack fires a semi-seeking projectile at an enemy. Hand guns with high rates of fire are basically Sub machine guns with better impact, if you have a Pistol with range, it is good for Assists. This will be buried under a mountain of Crucible troll Feces but hopefully it will help somebody.

I don't have a problem with the weapon sandbox aside from the bloom and recoil of HCs on console, but Supers are way too frequent and are too strong, and heavy ammo spawns way too much.

1 RispondiHuckleberry > everyother Smg

None of your complaints show evidence of anything being broken. You're just pointing out minor inconveniences that really have nothing to do with the final outcome of any match. In the words of Abraham Lincoln: "Get good, stop crying, it's not broken."
-
In my opinion Crucible now is better than its ever been, and that includes all of the D1 metas. Each to their own I guess, but I think it's very balanced with only a few nails needing to be hammered.
-
2 RisposteHonestly my only big gripe about crucible is the damn supers. The first two minutes of a match are the most fun.

Modificato da Reclaimer: 7/6/2019 11:12:41 AM
...you are NOT using a Tripmine instead of Swarm Grenades... ...Hunters aint using Young Ahamkara's Spine, or...
Speak for yourself. My entire playing style on my Hunter is a slowed down, more methodical Gunslinger, and Tripmine usage is a big part of that. Especially for punishing xXx_sH0tTyRu$h3rS_xXx. Yes, it’s easier to throw on Swarms, Stompies, and hold W/forward on the control stick (unless a situation confuses you, then you hit your jump button a few times). But finding your own way of playing is plenty effective and a better use of your time as a player anyways in a casual game. In the name of balance, Crucible is too far gone anyways. It needs an entire overhaul. Most weapons are too sticky or lack any recoil (most pronounced on PC, but the best weapons on console are good because of how forgiving they are). Spawns are atrocious. Roaming supers last too long, and soak up too much damage. Special weapons make fighting a chore when they’re actively available in every engagement. Heavies shouldn’t even be there. List goes on. Trying to be competitively viable and optimal is kind of meaningless with a game that lacks the balance necessary for trying that hard to keep up with the meta. Just use whatever and stop caring until the devs decide to care.
But very rarely, when I want to lobotomize myself, I’ll swap to my Titan, throw on Dunemarchers and a shotgun, and aaaaaaaaaape. Not a shotgun user, but I can see why people main them. It’s pretty free.
I have seen every one of thos weapons used and seen people perform with, I see some fantastic trip mine plays, I do better with fusion rifles now than ever before (excluding d1 year 1), snipers have come back, and the supers can mostly be chalked up to shitty spawns. Now that being said you do see more hand cannons, pulse rifles, and shotguns than anything else however shotguns have always and mist likely will always be the dominant special because of their ease of use. Now I do think many of the armor pieces in the game have been nerfed wayyyyyyy too heavily and many were just never good (aeon). That definitely needs to be resolved Objectively I would consider this much better than forsaken when the only usable items were dust rock and a pulse.
-
1 RispondiI would be happy if fusion rifle range got nerfed to the ground in PvP. F@&$ fusion rifles
-
Have to disagree. There is more choice than ever before. It used to be that you had to run mida and then it moved on to graviton lance. If you didn't have a graviton lance you lost end of... There's so many different weapons people are running now it's great. Ace of spades, recluse, last word, joetunn, beloved, the menagerie hand cannon, calus multitool. It's hard to look past the truth right now for the heavy but if you are running a different exotic elsewhere then it's machine guns or grenade launchers Find a build you like that suits your play style. There will always be paper that beats your rock but when you find a build that suits you its fun smashing scissors for the majority
-
Well they said the crucible is getting some serious attention for when season 8 drops in September
-
The weapon types you mentioned don't necessary require a whole lot of skill to use and they're still quite viable. Just a few examples of them that work really well: Scout Rifle: Polaris Lance. SMG (apart from Recluse): Calus Mini-Tool. Sidearm (apart from 3-burst): Drang Baroque. Linear Fusion Rifle: Crooked Fang or even Queenbreaker. Auto Rifle: Literally anything is good if you just aim for the head as long as you can control the recoil, which you can use a mod for or choose a perk. All of those^ are really easy to get and are quite effective in PvP. The longest one to get out of those is probably Polaris Lance, but with the high power cap the quest is now very easy.
-
They've mentioned in the TWAB a few weeks ago that news about the Crucible will drop this summer. It was stated in the Shadowkeep vidoc (both the interview portion and the plain video) that PvP will be getting more focus for season 8. So yeah, they know. Which makes this post pointless.
-
An that's a bad thing how. You ask me which no one does. Bungie needs to focus on actual story telling for the game so it has credibility and has a leg to stand on than the same shit of trying to save a dying PvP model. Seriously the PvP can go die in a hole. It needs to be separated from the main game completely and needs less focus on it for the game to go any further than what it's going at now. PvP should not be the last thing that can be played for hours on end. I say that to the fact as when you get done with all the PvE stuff it becomes irrealitve. The PvP sucks and needs separation while the PvE story needs to be worked on. I don't care what people think they have no argument. The way PvP is would be the PvP competition shit you would get from csgo or something like that. Actual competitive like structure that is used for competition's and tournament's. Not for an every day game. Long story short PvP can go die and remain dead so the actual story can flourish and be flushed out to a better degree than resorting to bullshit PvP standards and practices which hasn't worked for this game since the start of Destiny 1.
-
With all the complaints that I’m hearing about the crucible I think that bungie should go back to the 2014 version from the first game which would resolve some issues that players have at the moment with this activity
-
Crucible is stale right now but i don't think it's bad.
-
1 RispondiDefinitely not the worst its ever been... Season 3 Heavy Spammo. Nova Warp in seasons 4/5. Telesto Molesto in whatever season that was. The Revelry. Arcstrider in season 2. Spectral Blades in multiple seasons. I'm sure I'm forgetting something.
-
Just add a 6v6 playlist that has certain loadouts only that rotate daily just like the strike list
-
Subjectively, and I think it's the best it's ever been in D2.
-
Nah, team shooting meta at d2 launch was the worst.
-
1 RispondiThe topic of supers and related items I can agree with. Everything else not so much. Functional/mechanically the Crucible is in a very good spot. Most if not all the hot-topic issues could be attended to with sandbox updates, so it's not starving for a change that would take an extended timeline.
-
1 RispondiHopefully PvP gets some love in Shadowkeep
-
1 RispondiTake out objectively from the title or rework this with actual data. Troll post move on
-
3 RisposteOP uses the term objectively Uses subjective evidence to back up claim It's 2019 and words are meaningless
-
4 RisposteHey, I've been having fun with my friend with two Sweet Bussiness and Actium War Rigs. It's not something to scoff at. Though there is an excess of shotgun sliding. Maybe a slide cool down or sprint distance requirement is in need? Don't know. But I'm just having fun in quickplay.
