Edit: fixed the title, , i love being dumb as bricks sometimes, or most of the time.
- Some entire weapon class's are not viable, and take an extraordinary amount of extra skill to succeed in (Examples are Scout Rifles in general, Sub-machine guns that are not Recluse, Side-arms that are not 3-Bursts, Linear sion Rifles, Auto Rifles, ect.)
- Maps that are short ranged have objectives that are also short-ranged, and / or long-ranged optional areas, making slide-shotgunning just the best option for most engagements
- Every class has a super that can kill you twice with one activation, combined with super mods make most game-modes feel like Mayhem
- Some Grenade's are completely outclassed in the crucible by others (You are NOT using a Voidwall grenade on a Sentinel Sub-class, you are NOT using a Tripmine instead of Swarm Grenades or an Incendiary Grenade, and Fusion grenades are almost always outclassed)
- Some Exotics are either too powerful, or other options are just bad (You warlocks ain't going to use Verity's Brow, Eye of another World, and Winter's Guile; Hunters aint using Mechaneer's Tricksleeves, Young Ahamkara's Spine, or Lucky Rasbperry, and Titans aren't going to use Actium War Rig, Mask of the Quiet One, and Eternal Warrior, while NOBODY will use the Aeon Gauntlets)

2 RisposteI thought it was some of the most balanced it's been in a while. Besides supers having way to much health and autos being to weak.
-
2 RisposteIt does need a major sandbox update. Lowkey shotguns need another range nerf. On eyed mask needs it mark perk removed. Sliding needs to slow you down more. Extending super with kills needs to return less energy upon kills. For weapon balances I don't know what needs to be done honesty. I do say sidearms need more stability. Maybe auto rifles a bit more damage per shot. Only a little. Kephri's sting needs to be changed as it was in D1. Kephri's horn could be used for burning maul. Let it spawn an extra tornado with a slam. Eye of another world should make invisible enemies completely visible for you. But Destiny 2 year 1 was worse and pre Luna nerf was also way worse than now. The Crucible is now at it's best in D2. Which doesn't say a lot.
-
Not every exotic is meant for the crucible, and they don't have to be. You don't go into a raid rocking one eyed mask do you? Some items or abilities excel more in different activities. The scout that's useless in pvp might be super helpful in let's say the outbreak mission where range enemies don't fall as easy to a pulse.

7 RisposteOk first off everything you said is wrong I personally change my load out for each season using as many different things as I can I’m currently trying to get the catalyst for jade rabbit and vilgilance wing Secondly YOU have trouble with the weapons and exotics others thrive Crucible is about your skill versus others skill on occasion spawns can be an issue but not that much Thirdly your getting frustrated over personal hurdles Your selling your self out before you even play Everyone who succeeds in crucible worked at it Some were naturally good others worked over time If you want success prioritise crucible adjust play style use other weapons A scout may not be great alone but you help someone else take down an opponent your gold Trust me I was a 3/4 kill guy in the beginning now around 12/15 not the greatest but it my improving that matters I still have the odd bad game but they were just better simple as that Good luck
-
4 RisposteIt's been better than ever
-
Most people would say it is the best than it's ever been, but I disagree with it, crucible used to be enjoyable, but I've been in there a few times and hated it because most weapons I have been killed by only kill me with one shot and no such guns should do that, especially if I am doing a catalyst for a specific weapon, yah sniper rifles are one shot kills but hand cannons, scout rifles and being shot with a shotgun when the player is too far from that's horse trash too because shotguns are up close and personal weapons

5 RisposteModificato da TwoFiveOne_: 7/6/2019 11:53:24 AMIt’s a little stale. My personal opinion on the worst crucible era is vanilla D2. -4v4 -Every single roll was static. There was no depth or grind to weapons. -Teamshotting. If you aren’t hugging your teammates at all times, you’re as good as dead -1 super per game within the last minute of the match, MAYBE 2 if lucky. -Double primaries, the most useless weapon setup ever. (Shotguns, snipers, fusions never got used because of rocket launchers in the same slot) -Everyone was painfully slow, which encouraged more teamshotting. -Very slow ttk, further encouraging teamshotting. Low skill gap weapons became meta (laser stable Uriel’s Gift, MIDA at range, high cal was used frequently to out flinch opponents) -2 crucible playlists, quickplay (supremacy) and the one nobody played (Competitive, there was no reason to play it, no pinnacle weapons in vanilla) Just recalling all of that brought back painful memories.
-
I do agree that there's a bunch of weapons and exotics that need tuning and I do agree supers need to be weaker but I disagree in saying this is the worst crucible has been in d2 I love the chaos in the current sandbox and it is much more fun than nothing but primary battles. However I think special scavenging perks should max out in giving 2 ammo per special brick to encourage more primary play and less doing nothing but shotgun ape or fusion rifleing people, snipers and grenade launchers which require more skill to use would remain unchanged and supers should be able to be shut down using special weapons or team shooting them down.
-
I feel like people that complain about pvp games are just salty. Aim better, know the hit boxes, learn to dodge and for this game especially...know the game mechanics. Playing twitch-based shooters and getting old sucks. Reaction time, reflexes and awareness start to dissipate, it gets tough.
-
3 RisposteYou must’ve not played mida team shoot trials, that was the worst D2 pvp experience ever...
-
I disagee
-
Idk what you're talking about verity's brow plus well tree equals mucho overshields.
-
4 RisposteThe problem with crucible is, that Bungie doesn't have the balls to sacrifice one entire dlc/season for an entire overhaul of the crucible.
-
8 RisposteI disagree. I have seen more diversity of weapons on console than I have seen in ages. B4? DustrockLunaWardcliff. Most people ran that. Now? I see a good variety. Menagerie helped with getting people decent rolls to use other weapons. But I have seen trackless waste and heroes burden being used often - epicurean and erentil- drang, smugglers, and last dance. -DRB and other shottys are a thing as they will always appeal to apes. - I have seen outbreak, bygones, and go figure. I have seen polaris, night watch, and jade. I saw people running age old bond and or ghalrans right hand lately. Some use their misfits or gnawing hungers. Idk I've been seeing weapon diversity lately. Oh yeah I've def seen the snipers too lol. Bows are the only thing that need a buff or tweak to get em more common. Before? I only saw lunas and drb or NF and Retold tale 80% of the time. Now? I rarely see them on xbone console. Idk if anything adding more map variety and size will help. Only bad thing I see now is the new "nova warp" the new "spectral blades + gwinsin." That my friend is OEM + Code of the Juggernaut. That thing never runs out and cannot be countered unless you run far away. Oh and on PC u got the lord of wolves problem (Funny cause on console I rarely encountered the issue).
-
This is what you get when you support a pvp that allows every player to have a custom load out. Imagine everyone starting with hand cannons only and instead of heavy ammo crates it is a heavy weapon for pick up. Watch the skill gap increase
-
13 RisposteShadow keep is editing crucible majorly It normally is best you watch the vidocs before you make assumptions
-
I agree that many things could be balanced better. What I really want though is no more Control on Convergence. With a team it's fine, but with randoms it is a frustrating experience.
-
Firstly can I just say, the Aeon gauntlets are good when you're coordinating with em. If not, yeah, they're garbage. Eye of Another world isn't bad, it's just a purely passive exotic. I also see tripmine grenades fairly frequently. They do work. Same with voidwall. You gotta stop being completely definitive like that in your post. Also, not every exotic is meant to be used in every activity, same with grenades. In my opinion supers are fine where they are right now. You get them once (maybe twice) in the competitive only gamemodes which is great. In the more casual gamemodes like control and clash I think it's fine as well. Also, you state that some supers can kill..
Every class has a super that can kill you twice with one activation
What does that mean? Of course supers can kill more then one person? Or are you meaning that roaming supers can kill you once, then by the time you respawn, kill you again? If that's the case I'm sorry but you need to start learning how to run away from roaming supers. Now the parts I agree with, Yes, there are some weapon types in Crucible that are incredibly left out. Scout Rifles in the game have always been in an incredibly weird place in D2 I would argue because of how maps are structured (more on that in a sec), and that pulses basically just do their job better then they do. Linear fusions are awkward because they take heavy ammo, autos/submachine guns are just too niche in pvp as they're close range. You're only getting a kill with an auto rifle if the person is close enough and happens to not have any special ammo. It sucks that the range on autos/submachine guns is outclassed by pulses at medium range, and any special besides snipers at short range. Now the maps, when you look at nearly all of the year 1 maps excluding remakes from D1 they were all made with a completely different weapon system in mind. When shotguns/fusions/snipers were in the heavy category. I would attribute this to by why they can clean up much easier in pvp. My hope is with Shadowkeep they bring a healthy amount of new crucible maps designed with the current weapon system in mind. I especially hope they bring back combined arms as that would give scouts much more use along with dampening the effectiveness on shotguns for those maps.
-
2 RisposteI couldn't agree more. But I have a feeling Bungie will start balancing PvP with more effort in the future.
-
1 RispondiHonestly, the most annoying part imo is heavy ammo. Once a round like it used to be was nice. Imagine if we were on D1, everyone would be in tears over another Jolders jammer incident. Once a round was perfectly fine. It’s so annoying to get wardcliff and the colony spammed by kids whose only kills are from rushing heavy ammo. Just my gripe though. Others may feel differently and that’s fine too.
-
8 RisposteDon't forget that we're going towards year 6 of the shotty meta, and Bungie's tendency to wait full years in between substantial balance patches.
-
7 RisposteModificato da Forgotten: 7/6/2019 2:56:17 AMIronically still more choices than Destiny 1, faster average TTK and furthermore more subclasses. Yet...nostalgia>math. Also, no i am not praising Destiny 2 lets just keep the drama and stupid emotions out of it ok? I am just sick of hearing people complain about something they play almost everyday and get nearly everything they asked for yet are still not satisfied, and to top it off every single point made by both consumer and developer alike are illogical non-mathematical opinions based on personal bias. Annoying. Pathetic. P.S. Now if you excuse me i'm going to go use wavesplitter in comp and hopefully piss off some of those mentioned kinds of people.
-
Exotic are not just a PvP problem. Some should shine in either PvE or PvP. Though the ones you mentioned do not shine in either.
-
It has its problems, sure, but stranglely enough I've actually found myself enjoying it lately. Interested to see what the planned shakeup is for september.

Pre-order season of the crucible now!
