Having a timer on these missions just makes them frustrating, and impossible for 99% of the player base. The jumping puzzles make it even more annoying. Every time you guys do something cool, you ruin it.

EDIT: I got it and the catalyst.👌

6 RisposteAs a solo player, and a mediocre one at best, I've just learned to accept that there is content and weapons that I will never get to enjoy. It's just another gun, I have plenty of others, and it's just a game, there are plenty of those too. I would like to get to play the other content, but not enough to do what it takes for that. I'm not going to blame Bungie for not making everything easy for me, but at the same time I wouldn't complain if they made solo versions, like timers and enemies adjusted per player count.
-
I wish the timer wouldn’t run the entire mission. If you want to time puzzles and jumping that’s okay because it’s a legitimate challenge. Leave the bosses and bulk of other fights without timers because that’s just sweat for the sake of sweat. Let people use whatever strategies they want for fights.
-
I have the gun. I won't talk crap. I'll speak truth. they make you work for it. can't take the heat? Get out the kitchen sukka 🤣
-
1 RispondiI have the gun to preempt your edit. Without the timer this become literally zero challenge whatsoever. And there needs to be worthwhile rewards for Endgame content. This lines up here. Why would anyone want to try do something of it's for nothing? Niobe Labs dude. No reward? No one did it. Dis you do it?

14 RisposteBungie once again listen to the YouTube streamers..
-
I'm not a fan of jumping puzzles but these really aren't that hard, I lfg'd it today and it took like 5 tries all in all to learn the route and kill the boss. It's really not that much of a difficulty and I'd gladly take this kind of new content over none at all
-
1 RispondiI agree. Its stupid. I do it because i want the gun but im extremely angry doing it. It sucks. Got off work yesterday.took me two hours to do it. I wasnt complaining on the outside. I was calling out and helping but man i cried when i laid down at 3am in the morning lol
-
Your joking right? I've barely played this season but this is EXACTLY what they need to keep doing. It's not even hard, you just might not get it first try. Just keep trying and you will get there. Wheres the fun in just getting something for nothing?
-
1 Rispondithe challenge makes it fun dude. no one likes handouts
-
28 RisposteI don't understand why bungie just don't take everyone into account with this. Not everyone likes jump puzzles, believe it or not not everyone likes puzzle games and if you want to play platform/puzzles games there's a whole genre of just that. Time limits are also annoying and cause unnecessary stress, plus it's just a lazy way of making content "hard". They could have easily done it that there's not a time limit till you get to the boss and then that way the people who do struggle with jump puzzles (shockingly some people do!) wouldn't have to stress about the jumping. At the end of the day d2 is a loot-shooter it's not been built for typical jump puzzles and that can cause problems if you are the wrong character. The time limit just adds to that stress.
-
2 RisposteI agree with you. The content is tough enough without a timer. The community has consistently said we don’t like timers but timers are still used. Smh. It’s frustrating
-
I'd agree about the timer if this game encouraged exploration... Which it doesn't.
-
1 RispondiAny of you guys remember the Thunderlord mission? I didnt. It wasnt memorable. I didnt feel a race to get that mission done. It was just a casual walk up to the boss. ^ that would have been the fate of the Outbreak prime mission if a timer wasnt in place. Players would be whining about how rediculously easy it was. Hide behind a corner and scout rifle the boss to death. How boring.
-
1 RispondiI have the gun and I agree, make it hard but the exploration is part of the fun. Imagine if raids were timed....disaster.
-
Maybe because it's a pinnacle pve weapon and shouldn't just be handed out for nothing. It doesn't even require a mic so be thankful atleast a little bit...
-
It’s the best mission Bungie have done for a long time. Nerfing it would change that statement
-
That’s just your opinion. I personally thoroughly enjoyed the mission and got the fun and the catalyst yesterday.

7 RisposteModificato da W33DEDPLAGUE: 5/8/2019 9:42:54 PMTotally subjective and it seems like nobody here understands that concept. I love the jumping puzzles and mechanics, myself, as do many others...not everyone shares the same ipinion. How boring is it to run through room after room of shooting enemies? Some people want everying easy, some people think they should be able to speed run a mission with an exotic reward the first time, some people just like to complain. It was a surprise secret quest and people are acting like they are owed something. The mission will take more than one attempt, you have to learn it and get better...that's how it's supposed to work. It's not supposed to be an easy in and out run. If you don't like those kinds of missions, don't do them. If you want the gun, then figure it out. I'm not trying to be a jerk but people really complain about anything these days and it's a little too much. If this quest hadn't come at all, you wouldn't have anything to complain about. It's a side activity, not a central piece of content and one mission with some jumping in it isn't going to kill you to learn...you don't have to have it mastered the day it releases, you can finish it in the next couple of months if you want. As far aa the timer, everyone would have it complered easily in the first run if it wasnt tgere. Would you rather it be an extinguish situation, where you get kicked to orbit upon death? Its a mission with an exotic reward, ITS SUPPOSED TO BE CHALLENGING. No wonder why bungie doesn't want to release content, no matter what they do, a lot of people just look at it as an opportunity to throw shade. Btw, will people stop throwing out made up stats like "impossible for 99% of the playerbase"...that CERTAINLY isn't true. It may not be possible for most the first time but most players WILL get through it eventually.
-
1 RispondiLiterally every person I play with got the gun and catalyst yesterday. All the complaints on this mission are pathetic.
-
The only reason I tried to get it done ASAP was because it will get nerfed in a week it’s that good.
-
I don't mind hard missions. I don't even mind pvp steps to exotic missions. I do, however, suffer from a truly powerful fear of heights and Destiny art is good enough to trigger it. Imagine every time you come near an cliff in game you feel like you're going to vomit. It gets better with practice and I guess I'll be doing a lot of that.
-
I have the gun, and think all of the complaints are unfounded. This mission is Bungies bread and butter imo. Secret stuff in their games requiring odd jumps and puzzles are to be expected at this point, and people should take that into account when getting into their franchises.

7 RisposteModificato da Locker: 5/8/2019 9:34:55 PMI have the gun and I’ve helped a few other people get it as well. I love it . It requires coordination proper loudouts and chaining supers and it’s a fun challenge . The jumping puzzle took a while to master but now you can get through in no time without death. As far as a jumping puzzle is concerned it’s probably the best designed one I’ve played in years. Even if your faster than your teammates one person can trigger levers to make it easier for you. Practice the mission have fun with some friends or strangers and face the fact that you’ll fail a few times before you succeed . And if for some reason you are unsuccessful , well mabey your not worthy of using it :) . Best mission in d2 yet !

2 RisposteI think you might have answered your own question with the subject heading. It's a "cool" exotic. Digging further it is obvious they wouldn't want everyone to walk through this quest like many others we have and then go back to complaining about no new content to sink our teeth into. To emphasize, I don't have the exotic yet (gametime not really doable during the week) and I have no doubt this one is going to be rough to complete but i'm okay with that. Jumping stuff in this game can certainly be annoying, but after some practice runs it usually turns out okay. This sort of gameplay has been in Bungie's dna for a long time, in fact I can remember all of the trouble one would have to go to in order to get the hayabusa helmet in Halo 3. There are plenty of guns available for just playing normally and getting, having a few cool weapons that are harder to go for gives anyone something to aspire to. I can promise you that if you're having a hard time of it, if you just go into it with the mindset that it's going to take you some practice to get to the end the frustration level will drop significantly. I say this as someone who just recently completed the savathun strike for Thorn, and I spent hours in that strike until finally achieving it and I don't think I have loved unlocking a gun more.
-
2 RisposteIf you can't do the mission you don't deserve the gun. Straight up. Don't have the gun yet but planning on getting it today. Did a few runs yesterday and the quest is more than doable with some refining. If you want easy content that holds your hand, strikes are only a few clicks away.

Modificato da BADMAGIK: 5/8/2019 9:34:00 PMBungie, maybe you can make every quest like this. Mindless, no brain cell mechanics. Just make sure at the end, there are ridiculous amounts of over exaggerated, seizure inducing flashing lights, medals, sparkles and rainbows flying across the screen.
