Having a timer on these missions just makes them frustrating, and impossible for 99% of the player base. The jumping puzzles make it even more annoying. Every time you guys do something cool, you ruin it.

EDIT: I got it and the catalyst.👌

1 RispondiI feel like OP cheesed it 😁😁😁 🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀
-
9 RisposteI hear a lot of whining for someone who actually did it lol
-
Cause it encourages you to make decisions that could screw over the entire game
-
5 RisposteZero Hour Timer is so popular that every single lfg is doing the time cheese. Yeah bunghole you really got this community figured out that everyone wants to complete the mission by CHEATING because they DON'T WANT THE -blam!-ING TIMER....
-
23 RisposteI don't mind jumping puzzles, but timers are BS. Isn't that why the NF timer went away?
-
66 RisposteI think you are confused. That mission was provided for streamers to boost their numbers and get this game a little more publicity. Note that all the popular streamers were hovering around 5-10k+ yesterday (normal numbers are barely 1k on a good day). That mission wasn't made for any of us here, lol. Just some extra marketing as Bungie prepare to try and fool people into buying Y3 content come September.

The new edit compared to the old edit 😂😂😂😂

10 RisposteModificato da Peloquinsoul: 5/9/2019 3:10:42 PMIt's stuff like this that really puts me off this game. Not the mission, nor the timer, it's the fact that every time we get something with a bit of challenge to it, the complaining starts. This has been done solo, without any sketchy strategies or hyper specialised builds. It is entirely doable by everyone, you can find a group, try solo or wait a couple of weeks till the power cap increases. Literally every other pve aspect of this game is a piece of piss, having 1 activity that isn't is a blessing to those who are sick of boss melting and mindless completions. Honestly between this and the whinging about pvp being a part of a quest, I wonder why people even bother playing. I mean what are they going to use it for, patrols?

It's hilarious how he changed his "Edit:" from "you who trash talk didn't try to get it" to "yay I got it" what a crybaby who thinks he can speak for the whole community.
-
No one cares about how shitty you are at jumping puzzles. You probably never tried it blind and cheesed your way to the gun and the catalyst, and you'll cheese your way to completing the catalyst. Shit posts like these are why we can't have nice things.

1 RispondiModificato da SmokeShadow_27: 5/10/2019 12:16:38 AMTo those complaining about timers or difficulty, here are my words of wisdom. Please take them for what they are worth: I can appreciate where some of you are coming from, but you dont need the gun either. If you can't do it the way it was intended, you have 2 options: 1. Accept that it is out of your grasp, and be happy with the guns you have that were within your grasp/ skill level. This is a tough one for people to swallow, both in games and in real life. 2. Get better, keep practicing, eventually earn it through hard work and determination, and feel great about your achievement that you worked for (much better than a dumbed down participation trophy). In my opinion, it's one or the other. People should be allowed to achieve things that others cannot. It's what motivates us to strive for excellence. It's why kids practice their asses off in sports to be pros later in life. It's why young adults bust ass in school to get a high paying meaningful job later in life. And, it's why someone who spends a lot of time learning to excel in a video game is able to wield a weapon that others can't attain. I'm fine with all of this. To take this away only embraces mediocrity for all, instead of celebrating and encouraging excellence for those who are worthy. Let the over achievers have their rewards. Problem is, the underachievers and less skilled dont like being without. This is a psychological fault with them; not being able to accept that someone is "better" at something than them, or simply has something they do not. I think if you want it bad enough, you will get it. And if you don't, be proud that you tried and be humble enough to admit that you couldn't earn it. Best wishes, Guardians.
Yes I equate video game attitudes to real life. I am fascinated with psychology and how it pertains to our everyday interactions and mannerisms
2 RisposteWhy do people hate the timer? I just did it first try with a lfg team and no mics. Just have to watch videos and know what to do. I love these timed missions and i hope they keep em coming. I loved being on the edge of my seat again while playing destiny. I wish they would patch the cheese though.
-
7 RisposteThe jumping puzzle doesn't bother me, but I hate the timer thing. I'm the type that likes to explore and see the details in the map, and having a timer throws that enjoyment out the window!
-
I dont mind the timer but for goodness sake i wish they would stop using it for so many other activities. Ep, blind well are hoard modes, but cant they come up with some difficult activity without just adding a timer to it?
-
5 RisposteYes timer and jumping puzzles at the same time Sucks. Bungie must be in business to not care about losing players.
-
2 RisposteModificato da whateverman7: 5/9/2019 7:33:59 PMWait, so this was started cause you didnt get it the first time (couple times) you tried it and it was 'impossible for 99% of the player base'. But now that you got it and the cat, you're cool? Lol wow. Your post sums up a lot of the community: make up stats and complain cause you feel entitled to complete something the first time through, smh.
Having a timer on these missions just makes them frustrating, and impossible for 99% of the player base.
I'm not good at the game, and I did it. So....
-
7 RisposteAll the crap is coming from the 1% that have it. I feel your pain.
-
1 RispondiCongrats on your victory, just curious after obtaining both the weapon and the catalyst, did you have a change of heart about this activity? Maybe you started by hating it and slowly took a liking to it, especially after getting the catalyst. 👍
-
4 RisposteAgreed Timer ruin the experience Jumping puzzles 🧩 sucks
-
You are going to a place you shouldn't be able to access regularly hence the need to jump around the outside of the wall and through vents etc.
-
1 RispondiThat just seems to be the only way they know how to make things challenging.
-
could always cheese the timer
-
Ok, ok... I reversed my down vote because you were able to get it done. :) Congrats on doing so.
-
2 RisposteComing from someone who has played lots of platforming games. I just don't like the Destiny jump mechanics. They just feel... icky. The Hunter jump is more direct and controllable. I can better when to jump, where I'm likely to land even if some consider it to be more difficult to achieve height and distance with it. The Titan feels slippery and sloppy. There's a lack of "sticking the landing" with it. The Warlock... well, leaf in the wind. Two characters supposed to invoke feelings of great power within players tend to make them feel weak as soon as they are in the air. I hope in D3 there is a better feel to it, a sense of control. I know Bungie can do it.
